Okay, I'm working on it. smile Not sure I can get the episode in time to also make screen- and vidcaps today, but I'll do it as soon as I can, promise.

It's episode 1x08, the title is "In RE: Tony Mejia".  I added it to Chris's IMDb credits.

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

Gah, I still haven't had the chance to even watch the episode. Nor have I watched any of my shows from last week. This work craziness has to stop. Another night where I've not been home before 8. And the weekend's busy too. My life seriously needs to take a chill pill. smile

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

I watched it last night. Which means I watched at least Chris's scenes, since the rest of the show didn't really make sense to me.
Well, I loved seeing him back on screen and it was fun to see him playing a "secret husband", but I can't say this is going to be one of my favorite performances.

Will there be more with his storyline?

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

I thought he had awfully little of screentime. his character was just a plot device. every scene he was in, was totally dominated by his "wife". he looked like a domesticated dog that would have made a much better job if he hadn't been held back. he had too little lines too. I don't know how anyone could get proper screen caps of him here. non of his quirky faces and sexy looks were present. it was like his face was made of wax. the whole cast seemed on edge. who the heck was boss on set and doesn't he know how to do his job?

I'm not surprised this show is going off the air. the acting and all of it seemed just so forced and too "made by making" (sorry. trying to translate a finnish saying here) meaning the makers were centering too much into making it fit into some recipe of a successful show, they were making it too stiff to have an actual soul and pull on the viewer. or something like that. hard to explain. this is just how it felt to me. I haven't seen the other episodes either. I was glad to see that cute, sassy brunette actress at work again, but she looks the same in every role.

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

I think what you're trying to say is that it's a formulaic lawyer show with nothing really special to distinguish it, and I would have to agree with that.  But I've been watching it for a few weeks now so I can actually follow it.  And I've always loved Jimmy Smits, so I like it more than you guys.  Plus, Jesse Bradford.  Of course Chris's part was small and not as showy as we'd like, but I still enjoyed it.  And I liked the way they dressed him.  I think TeeJay will be able to get some good screencaps.

Honestly, after the long dry spell, I refuse to complain about any of the stuff he's done lately.  As long as I get to see him, and he's out there working and getting back into the swing of things, I'm happy.  At least the drought is over.

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

I get whatyou're saying. I'm not saying that I absolutely hate it. It's good to have something new in his resume, if not anything else. But they could have made a better job and given him more room to work with.

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

Yes, but to them, he's just another actor.  Well, except to Jesse, since they're friends.  But the producers of that show felt no obligation or inclination to give him anything special to work with.  He was there to serve the story.  Period.  Not every role can be a showcase.

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm really sorry that I still haven't gotten to the screencaps yet. I've barely had a moment for myself this weekend (sleepover guests and x-mas cookie baking), and last night I went to see Harry Potter 7.1. We have an after work dinner thing tonight and I also "have to" come up with something for a graphics contest that comes with a deadline, so I'm not sure when I can get to the Outlaw episode (I haven't even watched it yet -- shame on me!). Just bear with me, guys.

No pressure TeeJay! I don't think anyone is angry with you. Ignore our impatience and whenever you get to it will be great. I feel like you worry a little too much about having to have this done immediately. I promise, if anyone knows patience it would be us, waiting for Chris to get some work again. And it all pays off in the end smile

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

Took me long enough, but today I finally watched the Outlaw ep Chris was in. Not really a show I'd watch (can't say I connected with any of the cast either), but I thought Chris's storyline was fairly interesting. So here's the screencaps I got out of it: http://www.chris-marquette.com/gallery/ … ?album=244

And here's the vidcap: http://www.chris-marquette.com/media/vi … w_1x08.wmv

Btw, the sum in the end was $16,000 and not $60,000, right? The difference is kinda hard to make out.

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

No, it was $60K.  See how wonderful our American heathcare system is?  Gee, aren't we just the greatest country in the world?  I loved the storyline.  It has already been used on another show since then too.  Can't wait to play in the caps.  Thanks!  smile

Okay, so it's no problem for these two people to get 30 grand each without taking out a loan? Gimme a break. I'm, like, 10 years older than them. I have money saved up in the bank, but not 30k.

Re: Outlaw! Another new TV guest role...

The reality is that they would probably pay it with credit cards, then spend the rest of their lives in debt.  The point is not that it'll be easy, the point is that even though it sucks ass, it's better than jail. Again I ask isn't American healthcare awesome?
