Yeah, I remember when I saw "Sliding Doors" when Gwyneth Paltrow got treated after being mugged. You'd have a hard time getting treated without a purse here. You've gotta love the National Health.

Well, that doesn't work in Germany either. I don't think they're gonna treat you if you don't have your health insurance card with you. Unless it's an emergency or something. I once had to leave untreated at the orthopedist because I didn't have my insurance card with me. Which sucked big time because I had driven 20 minutes to get there, only to find out I had forgotten the card (which I'm usually not prone to doing). These days you also have to pay 10 EUR every quarter at any doctor you see (unless you have a referral thingie, but you need to pay the doc who gives it to you).

Aw gee, that's terrible. Try having insurance that you have to pay over a hundred dollars a pay check for that then costs you a $35-co-pay just for an office visit. That does not include any tests they have to run. Each of those will cost you another $35 co-pay. And any drugs they prescribe cost you another $35 each. So yeah, I have insurance, but I STILL can't afford to go to the damn doctor. Which means Aetna gets about $1644 a year from me for which they have to provide ZERO services. It's a giant racket.

Maybe it's just me, but I really like the jean jacket, tie, dorky shirt combo they dressed him in. It's a cool, shorthand way of indicating that this guy is harmless and I dunno, I just find it kind of weirdly adorable...

Know what else? When I watched the vidcap last night, I noticed that Chris's name appears onscreen over Jesse, just like Jesse's name appears over Chris. That tickles me.
