Re: Randomness

My Friday evening isn't much more exciting.  Earlier today I thought I'd probably take a nap when I came home.  But nah.  Right now, I'm watching The Dog Whisperer.  After that, a couple of eps of Diners, Drive-In & Dives.  Then I'll watch Wednesday's ep of Friday Night Lights.  And then get back to my re-watching Medium from the beginning marathon.  I fell asleep around 11:45 last night near the end of ep 22.  I'll review that and then move on from there till I pass out again tonight.  tongue

The Rite tomorrow...

Re: Randomness

happy saturday! big_smile

I'm visiting a friend 130km from home. Did some shopping earlier today and she cooked us the best tuna-food I've ever eaten. and I just got stood up on a blind date with a woman I've met in a chat room. I was starting to doubt the date myself too since she was so weird and not really trustworthy. When I first chatted with her two months ago she said she's been comfortable with her sexuality and out since 17, but the closer the date got, the more she started talking about how she only wants it to look like friends out for a coffee because she isn't out. And she never gave me her name or phone number, so not like i could call her and ask if she saw me or not. what ever. I don't think I'll do chat-dates anymore. I met one good friend in a chat 10 years ago but no other good thing ever came out of chat rooms. In the future t will be only little harmless chatting. no dates. gotta find another way to contact people. maybe closer to summer when I'm actually ready to date again.

Tonight my friend and I are going out to the big city. yikes! big_smile We're just dancing a bit and drinking just a little. I love being here. I haven't seen this friend in five years because our lives have been so different, but here we are like no time has passed. smile She's always been the friend that I'm most comfortable with and can talk about anything. so no wonder I've called her my best friend even when we've been in contact less. Also, the most fun I've ever had at an outing, has been with her. no pressure on getting drunk like with some people. and she's so easy to have fun with, to  chat with, etc. smile I'm so happy we're still so good friends. smile

Re: Randomness

Sounds like fun cappugirl.

Deb, sounds like you actually had a busy friday evening catching up on shows. That's what I plan on doing tonight.  I slept for 2 hours yeseterday afternoon, went to bed at midnight and woke up at 10am today. I could have staid in bed for longer if I wasn't taking care of my parents dogs this weekend! tongue I feel a lot better but still a little stuffy.  Cold and flu season has started at school.  I made eggs and coffee this morning and am watching Bewitched. Taking advantage of this saturday because I'm booked up for the next few saturdays in february with saturday schools. TAKS time.

Re: Randomness

Sounds like we've all got fun Saturdays planned. After the movie, I'm gonna swing by Chipotle and pick up a burrito, come back here and let y'all know how the movie is, have my din-din and then get back on the new DVD player.  I think I might set aside Medium for a few hours and watch some Upstairs Downstairs.  I can't stop thinking about it now.  There are 11 eps from the first season that never aired in the US, so I've never seen them.  I'm also on a Billy Jack kick right now, so I might watch Trial Of Billy Jack (on VHS).  And then Pit Boss is back tonight, so I'll be watching the 3rd season premiere of that.  Just gonna try to chill and have fun today.  I have a TON of kitchen chores tomorrow.  Gonna purge cabinets, and the fridge.

yea. I'm continuing to purge and clean out my apartment to get ready to move. About to do that in a few minutes in fact.  Hope the movie was good.  Will check it out eventually.

Re: Randomness

That's good to hear.  Can't wait for a full Chris feature. Watching Jesse Eisenberg on SNL.  He's just as awkward and nervous as his characters he plays in the movies, but there are some funny skits.

This sounds really bad for me to say this.

Anyone here fancy writing a short little something for me to have a go at? If it gets down, I plan on uploading it onto Youtube, and you will get the credit for writing it.

Re: Randomness

Sorry Simon, wish I could help you, I like movies, but am not a writer.  Wish I were, I think all I could write right now would be something similar to Cat in the Hat since that's what I'm around most of the time! tongue

Biggest ChrisMarquetteFan: Good luck this week.  No matter how stressed you are make sure to be in bed by 10:30. Getting enough rest is essential to your performance!

Kiddos were WILD today.  We have a traffic light system to monitor behavoir, Green is a great day, yellow means they did not make good choices, red is a conference with the parents.  Only 3 went home on green!  Really stressful. I think they sensed the cold front comming!

Please pray for a snow day tomorrow, and that we will be OFF all day.  Or at least even a delay would be nice.  I could use a day off to pack and do some things, i know we are all pretty tired at this point with tutoring, report cards, saturday schools.  Its like this until school's out really.

Re: Randomness

Thank goodness for the snow day.  We were going to delay school until 10, but weather just too bad.  Already spent an hour talking to AT&T and greenmountainenergy transferring services to my new apartment.  Now time to pack for a few hours.  At least it will be a productive day!

Re: Randomness

I had to leave work early today to go to the bank. I discovered that every single penny had been stolen from my bank account. So instead of having £10,000, I now have nothing. Fortunately, I will get it all back, and an investigation will be launched into it.

Re: Randomness

So am I. It's ironic, because I had to leave work, making me miss my ICT lesson I teach. What we currently learning? The safety measurments when using computers. One of the points we talked about last week was hackers gaining bank details. Didn't expect it to happen to me a week later.

Re: Randomness

uh. sorry the bank isn't as good with money as you are, Simon. Nice of them to show responsibility, etc.

snowdays. heh. I spent two hours yesterday thigh-deep in snow. volunterily. outing with the kids. fun times! big_smile Today we stayed in because the boys seemed a bit sick and we needed to clean a bit because my mom came over for few days. Yikes. it has its pros and cons. she has her daylight personality and the other one.. kinda fitting that I just watched United states of Tara pilot. heh. watching my mom with my kids is like watching myself thru a distortive mirror. things she does are often like things i do but she takes them to more extreme lenghts. she kinda shows me I'm not as bad as I sometimes think I am. things could be worse. lol

Re: Randomness

lol CappuGirl. Glad you are getting some confidence from your mom.

ANOTHER snow day tomorrow.  This is crazy.  We NEVER get two days in a row.  My school is usually the only one that's open while all the others are closed.  I hear Chicago districts are closed too, and that's the first its happened since 1979.

Imagine how it was in Atlanta when we were immobilized for four whole days.  This is the craziest weather ever.  Period.

Re: Randomness

Wow, Simon, that's horrible! yikes I really hope you'll get your money back somehow.

In other news yesterday I learned that one of my former teachers died in a horrible car crash a few days ago ... I haven't seen him in years, but it's still shocking since he was one of the good ones and not that old yet. My thoughts are with his family right now.

Re: Randomness

geez. What a mess simon.  Prayers are with you and Anne.

We got another snow day.  Can't believe it.  4 days off & science fair moved from saturday to the last saturday in February.  No longer allowed to complain about not having time to pack!  I've only got the kitchen and some fixtures left.

I saw the packers caravan down the road today.  They are practicing at my high school, the only indoor stadium in the sate.  It was kind of exciting, a long line of police patrolman.
