Re: Photo thread

You know what might be fun.  Making a calendar in wally format instead of the shape you've been doing it in.  I'd love to have a calendar wallpaper too because the Outlook calendar I print out for my cubicle is so damn boring.  And if I may be so bold as to suggest this, maybe we could retire all the old stand-by photos and use some of the things we've gotten in the last couple of years.  I'm pretty burned out on Fanboys, Graduation, all the old favorites.  But of course, I always love seeing some JoA thrown in here and there.  wink

Re: Photo thread

The problem is that everyone uses a different resolution. Most older widescreen laptops have 1280x800, which is 16:10. My laptop is 1600x900, which is 16:9. My computer at work has a dinosaur monitor, which has 1280x1024. Mine at home has 1920x1200. A lot of the smaller laptops and netbooks now use 1364x768. It's a science in and among itself, so I think we'll just have to pick one size and run with it. Because I'm not making a wally for every screen resolution there is out there. tongue

The problem with most of the recent pics we have is that they're tiny. I cannot make a wallpaper from something that's just 600 pixels wide without it looking crappy. Unless I put many small pics together, but that's quite a bit of work... I will definitely try, though, once I know what resolution I should be using.

Re: Photo thread

I can work with 1280X1024.  I decided to stick with the bigger version of the birthday wally.  Everything just looks weird on this stupid monitor I have here.  It's simply oddball, nothing i can do.

Re: Photo thread

Cooper works fine with 1280x800. I could change the resolution, but that makes everything look weird and it also doesn't go higher than what I have now. Maybe when I buy a new laptop I'll buy a bigger one, I haven't decided yet since I can't buy new techtoys anyway at the moment.

Yeah, though my gut feeling says we should go with something widescreen. The 4:3 monitors are becoming so rare these days. Besides you and me at work, I only know two other people who still have a 4:3 monitor, and both of them barely make a living and don't have money to buy new equipment. Everyone else I know has a widescreen monitor of some sort.

Okay, so how about this?

Chris_Wallpaper_Jan2011.jpg

I know it's quite similar to the one I made for Deb, but I just felt like messing with the Criminal Minds caps a little more.

HAHA!  Funny banner! lol

I haven't watched that in ages.  Need to watch it again, along with Black Hole and most definitely Dear Roommate.
