It's only 48 seconds. It's nothing spectacular, but you get a good feel for what his character will be like. Not half the sad-sack I anticipated. Which is good. We've seen a LOT of that guy.

I posted this on IMDb in a great speculative discussion we're having over there...

I had an idea last night, just as I was drifting off to sleep. Another thing they say in the synopsis is that there's difficulty treating POTW because of "uncertain identity", but it also says they delve into his history and family looking for answers, so they must get his name at some point. And as I pointed out last night, it says that just when the team starts to warm up to him, they discover a dark secret. So how 'bout this for a plot...
Maybe after they pressure Hairy Homeless Dude enough, he gives them the name Danny. So then either considering the homelessness and the mental issues, someone jumps to the conclusion that he's Danny Wilson, or maybe they even find Danny Wilson's ID on him and become convinced that he's DW. This could possibly be before they shave him and realize he's too young and couldn't possibly be. But in the meantime, they try to treat him using DW's medical history. And it just makes him worse, of course. This would be pretty typical of a standard ep where the team is forced to proceed on incorrect info or an incorrect assumption for a while.
Once either House or Wilson confirms that he is not Danny Wilson, they learn that this kid either found Danny's body and stole all his stuff, or he killed him himself and stole all his stuff. So Wilson finds out through this mystery POTW that his troubled brother has died, just as he lived, off camera.

I'm so geeked up. I can't believe we're finally getting that long dreamed-of reunion. I just wish Chris and Amber realized how excited we'd be about it and took photos and told us about it. Why don't they get it? How much more vocal do we need to be?

I totally agree that Deb should run Chris' IMDB. I'd bet it would be much more informative and inspiring to the filmmakers and fans then.

As a kind of a shy person, I totally get that actors must feel awkward about attention, especially if they're getting it more from a specific group of fans than someone who can actually make their career go forward. though, who better to make a guy popular than a growing fanbase? you'd think so, but too often the production doesn't match the demand. I for one think that this site must have made a big difference in making Chris known. I say this because before I joined this site, I quite often googled and IMDB'd stuff that he was in and was always led here. Drawn here. maybe it was the tagline and that you guys really live up to it. Chris should show more respect for you for all that.

Honestly, I expect nothing from him and feel grateful for the contact we've had. I only wish he understood that we want to see everything he does. And that working with Amber is a HUGE deal for us. I wish it was part of his thought process just to drop us a quick note and say, "Hey, look for me on so-and-so-show." And by "we", I mean ALL of us, not just the webmasters of this site. I just think Chris and his reps have never understood the power of online fandom. And it's a damn shame.

hey there! ish meeee! Eli's wifey haha back in action. I apologize once more for my long absence. God I am starting to sound like a broken record in that respect. :embarrassed:

Anyhoo... I got the buzz about this from Deb on my Chris M Fan Group while digging through yahoo and my mail.
I must say I am VERY EXCITED about all this. I just KNOW Chris is gonna do a smashing job with his role! He always does so I don't expect any less. Also, the fact that its a small acting reunion with Amber on the screen is amazing unto itself!!! *grins happily* I am so gonna park my arse in front of the TV come Monday night at 9:00 on the DOT to see this episode.
I have been missin me some Chris and I need a GOOD DOSE (not like I dont get it everynight and day anyways from my TGND DVD but still!) To see him in other roles besides Eli Brooks has a place in my heart as well. *squeeee* oh this is gonna be soooooooooooo good!
And I am really enjoying the speculations and ideas here on the MB.

No matter what happens this is gonna be EPIC!

Oh and on a side note: to Deb, Mel, Kate, TeeJay, and anyone else here on the MB I may have added on Facebook... I sadly have been forced into making a whole new account and re adding all of you so please add me back. Yeah the programming on the guide says 9 PM here. Hmm... I should probably double check. All I know is the DVD/VHS VCR is set and programmed to record the House show as soon as it starts. Mom records all the episodes so she can watch them later since she works late.

Synopsis from Yahoo TV:

House and his staff have a mystery to solve tonight when a homeless drug addict without any identification is found with horrible scars and burns on his chest. As they save the patient's life and start to bond with him, they stumble upon a disturbing secret about his past. Meanwhile, Cuddy confides in Wilson about her split with House.

Carol suggested that if the POTW's mystery doesn't involve any of the core characters, maybe the shocking thing is that he was hurting himself and letting teenage jerks film it and put it on YouTube, which is something that has been in the news recently. That would be a pretty dark, twisted secret to have.
