Between that, global warming, economy, war in the middle east, there are plenty of things to be concerned about and pray for. I feel bad one one event happens & then so much is focused on that while all the other issues get pushed back.
Well. I went into to work today and got sent back home sick. My principal said to go home and heal up since there aren't any breaks and we basically have a saturday school every saturday until TAKS tests, so that's six full days of work, and 12 hour days mind you. Charter schools are hard to work for. I went to the doctor and they said i had sinus infection with bronchitis. Its the second time its happened this school year. They want to do an allergy test on me. Has anyone ever done one?

I've had a prick test done, which is where they put drops of different allergens on the insides of your lower arms and then "prick" the skin with a tiny knife. Then you need to wait 10 or 20 minutes before they clean off the allergen drops. Anything you're allergic to causes a skin reaction where they pricked the skin. The more you're allergic, the redder the skin there. It might itch too, and the itching may linger for a while, but other than that, it's pretty harmless.
I'm allergic to alder, hazel and birch pollen, by the way. Which sucks big time, especially around this time of year.

Thanks for the info TeeJay. Did you find it helpful? What did they do after they found out your results? Sorry for the questions just want to talk to someone that has done it before I spend all the money and time to do it too.

It's a long time ago, but it was helpful at the time insofar that it confirmed what pollen exactly I was allergic to. I think it was mainly done so that the doc could put a diagnosis in the file and then prescribe antihistamines. Which is the standard therapy, so I actually don't think the test was all that necessary, seeing it was pretty obvious I'm allergic to pollen. (The test was fully covered by my insurance, so...)
I think it makes the most sense to do such a test if you decide to do desensitizing therapy because for that they treat you with small doses of the specific allergen you react to over a long period of time.

My mom broke her arm falling down and slipping outside today on the wet ground. She was in the ER and is going to be off work awhile because she broke a bone and has to wear a cast.
In other news this weekend was bad enough before this. A guy I was supposedly dating tells me his ex and him have feelings for each other now that they recently started talking again. He lied and said before she lived in a different city but she doesn't I saw it on her facebook and she tagged him in a photo today of them that was taken today. They are hanging out and he lied. I feel betrayed so I blocked him and Im not going to put up with this anymore. I don't put up with guys that are still associated with their exs. I have nothing to do with any of my exs. Exs are exs for a reason.

I voted today. It's not as exciting as the election in America but I did vote to make a difference here.

That's, great, Anne. I'm not much into politics myself but I respect that.

Good for you Anne. I was a history minor and my professors always commented on how important it was to vote since most wars started over that right.
Sorry to hear about relationship issues. I hope that you will find peace soon and that your mom heals.
10 more weeks til summer. I think I can, I think I can... after a 6 day work week & more to come in the future. Energy is what I'm praying for.

Thanks, Lindsey!
I like to look on the bright side and at least the accident wasn't worse.
I have 5 weeks until summer! I'm excited!

Turns out we DID make a difference! The area I'm living in is having their first change of government in, like, 50 years. That is exciting!

I have two friends who have taught ESL and LOVED it. I admire that so much. If I could do something that essential and profound in some ways, I think I'd really enjoy it.

I have 4 weeks now until summer! I'm taking a 20 day physical education class in May. You go to orientation and then you go to a gym everyday for 18 days and make sure you get a person working at the gym to sign you were working out. I kinda want to get a masters degree in physical education. Maybe.

Did anyone hear of any great april fools this year? I think Sean had a good one. I only had a lame one in my finnish FB. I only put a finnish saying in as my status. Traslates to "old salt is making me thirsty" which means that I've got the hots for an ex. couldn't be further away from the one everyone was thinking. I've been kinda nostalgic past months, but about way older exes..

I don't do April fools in general.
In other news, I just noticed I hit the 8,000 posts mark quite a while ago and didn't even know about that until just now.

I hate April Fool's. But I got suckered twice yesterday. The worst one was my friend Elaine. She's starting an online book-selling business. To get started, so I can give her feedback and she can get a rating on Amazon Marketplace, she picked up the Susan Markowitz book, My Stolen Son, which I've wanted for months and she's selling it to me for cost, right? So yesterday, she emails me and says she's so sorry, but one of her cats decided to use her box of books as a litterbox. She said the brand new book was completely ruined. I didn't get too upset, but I completely believed her. Fortunately, she let me off the hook fairly quickly and said she's already mailed it earlier in the day, in pristine condition. Arrrrrgh! Sean's joke was great though.

It was on Facebook. He said Crispin Glover (how random!) came to his town and he went out to an autograph-signing. He posted a photo and everything ---- from like TEN YEARS AGO.
