I don't like stoner movies. they make me sad. people ruining their health for a few funny moments. There's no reason to glamorize it and I don't care if they say that pot doesn't do harm. Then why do they always present the stoners in the same way: a funny and adorable goofball who has the IQ of a potato? that sterotypia must have come from somewhere, so there must have been some negative effects on a rather big group of users.

OK. done being a party pooper. Iam glad that Sean got to do another movie. They keep posting pics of it but I never hear a release date.

On the Chris-subject: I think he is too mature to play a high school kid nowdays. he'd be perfect as mr regular joe in any kind of movie. a 20-something too mixed up on his own crap to see the trees from the woods, etc. but he'd need some interesting twists to break up all those boring fflicks telling the same stories over and over again. An original writer and a brave director who isn't scared to stand out and experiment with new stuff. Not everything has to be about following the same old formula of a mega hit.

Yeah, it's called PROPAGANDA. That's where that bullshit came from. I could bore you for hours about marijuana prohibition, etc, if I really wanted to change your opinion, which I don't.

There is no release date yet. In my opinion, they done blew it. We'll be lucky if they figure out how to get it released on DVD at this point. They had tremendous buzz coming out of Sundance 2009. And they still didn't find distribution? Fucktards.

Dream on. Hollywood doesn't hire original writers anymore. And brave directors only seem to come long about once every ten years.

Wow, apparently the asshole producers of this movie are holding it hostage for some bizarre reason. After Sundance 2009, they had offers from a few studios, good ones too. They turned them all down. They're just squashing the damn thing. The director and writer are starting to speak out. Geez, sounds familiar, huh? I smell a fan campaign coming on...

Actually, just to be clear and fair to all paries, in the case of Fanboys, the producers (Kevin Mann, Matt Perniciaro, Dana Brunetti and Kevin Spacey) were all very supportive of Kyle and Ernie and Adam. It was the owner/distributor, The Weinstein Company that nearly destroyed the film. Every production is different. It just sounds like the owners/financiers of HIGH School are greedy bastards who expected millions on the front end and wouldn't take anything less. They may have missed their window and screwed the pooch. My bet is that it will go straight to video. Eventually.

I hate the Weinsteins. Fanboys and Mandy Lane were run by them. Mandy Lane still hasnt had a U.S. release. I'm so happy I have the UK Bluray though. It plays perfectly on a U.S. Bluray and finally Fanboys is in region 1 and I have that too.
