Don't forget to watch Michael Welch in tonight's episode of Bones: The Feet On The Beach.  I'm watching it right now and he's adorable! He's a nerd again, very Lukey G!

Hm. I don't know. The days where I found Colin Farrell was hot are definitely over.
I guess I would watch the movie for Anton, though not because I think he's hot. LOL

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yeah, well, the whole supernatural creatures thing seems to be the "in" theme these days. How many vampire/werewolf shows are on TV right now? I can name at least four, and I'm not counting the Twilight saga.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

This coming fall, there's about five more supernatural-themed shows on the way. Two of them are about police units that deal with the supernatural.  17th Precinct is the more interesting-sounding one.  Good cast and a really good writer.

Sounds like The X-Files is getting a little revival. smile Sounds interesting, though. I might check that one out. And can I just reiterate that I'm totally in love with the US version of Being Human? Even Sam Witwer has grown on me. Didn't think that could happen.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yeah, except these are regular beat cops, not FBI.  From everything I've read so far, this one is the only one that sounds like it could last more than half a season.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Thats the problem when they flood the market with a theme...its moved on from "reality tv" to supernatural or even just vampires and werewolves. But I kinda like this market so not too upset. The only issue when they do flood is that so many shows are too similar and only a very few shows if any actually run for any length of time.

Same difference. wink And I'm sick of decent shows being cancelled after half a season, so it would be great if I could find something new to like that gets more than one. (Thankfully, Being Human did!) Is The Event going to be renewed? Not that I'm terribly interested in it anymore. If it didn't or doesn't, I won't be throwing any tantrums.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

No idea about The Event.  They lost me when they pulled it off the air for almost three months and totally retooled it.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I didn't even notice they retooled it. At least not consciously. Maybe that's why I keep liking it less and less. *sigh* I wish they could have kept FlashForward on the air. Did I mention I read the FlashForward novel? I liked it a lot, even though the TV show wasn't very close to it other than the basic premise and the Lloyd Simcoe character.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

1. Good for Emile.

2. This film is why Kid Cannabis is dead now, I think.

3. Rumor has it that if Ollie resurrects Pinkville after this, It will star Shiapet.  So that one's totally dead for me if it ever happens, even if by some ridiculous twist of fate Stone remembers he cast Chris in a small role almost 4 years ago and keeps him on.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

So I'm watching this "hospital" show called 'Off The Map', and Aimee Garcia is a regular on it. And I say "hospital" because it's about a clinic in the South American jungle, so it's not your regular hospital show. Interestingly, Aimee plays a local who doesn't speak any English. Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria from the first Twilight movie) plays one of the doctors on the show.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I tried really hard to like it because I love Zach Gilford, but it just bores me to tears.  Shonda could've done a whole lot better, I think.  Maybe she's just stretched too thin having three shows now.  Even Aimee is not enough to hold my interest and I love her.  I want Trauma back!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I actually kinda like it. I'm not crazy about it or anything, but I like the characters enough to make my way through the first 13 episodes. And Aimee isn't in every episode. She wasn't in the last two I've watched. She's a pretty minor character. Zach's character's love interest, actually. Though in the last episode I watched, he macked around with the blond doctor chick.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yes, sadly, I really don't like Zach's character very much.  He's kind of a jerk.  And since no one else on there interests me, that's why I'm having a hard time paying attention to it.  When I try to watch it, I just drift.  It's a decent concept, but I just don't like the people.

I downloaded the whole season of Off The Map because of Rachelle Lefevre but I kind of never really started to watch it. I guess I'll catch up with it when my other stuff is on hiatus.

Take your time, Anne. It looks very much like they won't get a second season anyway. Just my fate to get attached to another TV show that's not gonna see more than one season.
