Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Well, I'm not crazy about Off The Map. I enjoyed watching the first season, and I'd be looking forward to a second. But it's not an infatuation show. Not like JoA or White Collar. wink

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Well, True Blood is pure awesome.  A lot of my friends are really into it, thank goodness.  It's nice to have people to talk to about it.  You know, besides the jerks on IMDb.

I do laugh when people refer to it as like the "adult" version of twilight.....have you heard that yet?

Yep, I did hear that before. I think it's kind of ridiculous though, because you can't really compare TB and Twilight ... but well, you know, people ... roll

OH YES IT IS!!! I ADORE True Blood! Seriously, this show does things to me, I didn't know it was possible! (And no, it's not because they have the highest amount of nudity in an American TV show ever. There are other reasons, too. lol)

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

To be fair I think there ARE comparisons to be made: in Season One of "True Blood" the vampire and the shape-shifter are fighting over the girl.  And the vampire wins.  And part of what makes Sookie and Bill work as a couple is that the mind-reader can't read the other person's mind.  Of course, there are many more differences than similarities.  And really all vampire stories can be compared.

Marti Noxon interview on many things, including Fright night starring Anton Yelchin. I didn't know he was in it. Gosh this guy just keeps getting more talented and sexier as he grws older. So this might actually be one remake worth seeing. big_smile

There's a trailer out there.  I meant to watch and post it over the weekend, but it slipped my fevered, medicated mind.

It looks pretty bad ass.  And serious.  I see no funny.  And in this trailer, no Peter Vincent.

Well, I like the cast, so I will definitely watch it, but I doubt I would pay $11 to see it in the theater.

Adam Arkin and Shannon Lucio were in a scene together in tonight's episode of The Chicago Code.  big_smile

I'm not sure who of you is actually still watching Being Human, but I had this plot bunny hopping round my brain that eventually found its way onto paper. So here's my venture into the world of vampires, ghosts and werewolves: Downright Normal - by TeeJay

This sounds like a fun movie for Ryan...

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I'm still watching Being human US. Sam is totally growing on me. like fungus. he really is kinda cute and goofy. I even saw his episodes of the cavemen show couple of weeks ago. it had a lot of potential but it fell in all the usual sitcom blablaahs. and it was inda hard to tell Sam apart from his onscreen brother. unless he talked. big_smile
But I'll be reading that fanfic of yours. must be great if it's by you. big_smile

oh, and that Ghost cop movie seems pretty interesting. I love seeing Ryan's movies. big_smile

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Ryan's movie does have alot of appeal to it. Should do well just based on the two leads alone. And yup TeeJay I have been keeping up with Being Human. I really like it alot actually. Although sadly I can't watch it here I have to wait and download it. I have only seen one episode of the UK one though, so cant tell if I like the US one better, but it has sucked me in. Will read your fic and let you know what I think smile

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I read the fanfic and loved it so much I advertised it to my lexily group (20 something twihards of Twilight lexicon). big_smile One of them is sure to go nuts to TJ's fanfics since she's very into both fanfics and the TV show that TJ seem to have been writing a lot lately. heh

You mean White Collar? Yeah, I've been on a crazy mad writing spree lately. But thanks for advertising my fics. *thumbs up* And I'm so glad you loved my fic. Not sure I'm really gonna go back to writing for Being Human, though. But who knows? Is it true that season 2 only airs in 2012? That's just crazy!

Well, that's what I've read. Guess these mid-season shows are kinda unpredictable. I'm just glad it got a second season at all!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Anyone know if Breakout Kings was renewed or cancelled? I read an article where it said it was cancelled, but I can't find it on any "cancelled TV shows" lists.. Would be a shame to see it go, I've grown quite attached.
