My friend and his band are gone now and it was soo much fun having them here! The lead singer and her husband and another guy in the band (not my friend whos the drummer) are from Chile and the lead singer and husband brought their 2 year old baby and nanny too. They gave us 2 out of their 4 cds. Check them out: Intimate Strangers. The concert was great but not many people were there. And the lead singer gave my dad and I a shoutout since we let them stay at our house and actually went to the concert.

I'm so ready for summer to begin. to actually get warmth and sunshine, but so far I'm only getting it after 8pm so not particularly warm. I open the window and I need a sweater. damn. it's june already, c'moon! why do the clouds always have to gather during the days? the ground doesn't warm up so neither does the air. rawr.

on more pleasant note: I've watched a lot of TV online this week. way too much. been too tired to function so I've just numbed my butt watching Tru Calling. except for that one night when my webstic got f'd up again and I rewatched stuff from computer. so August Rush and Chris' episode of House again. I was nicely mellowed out of my tired, bad mood.

My employment agency sent me that "job offer" in the mail today. It's not exactly the job I learned but I'm gonna call the company on Monday and ask them what exactly it is they are looking for. Who knows, maybe there is be a new job in sight for me.

When Firefox bugs you to switch to 4.0 or 4.1, DON'T! It's horrible. Constant crashes. Slows down your Internet connection. Vulnerable to bugs. I was fine till I switched. Tonight, I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't even stream anything. So I gave up and switched back to 3.6. I'm zooming again.

Yes, but I'm certain you have a much newer, much more powerful computer than I have. But for me, it was the source of all the problems I've been having the last week and a half or so.

It's my "old" desktop from January 2008. But I gotta say, for the fact that it's more than 3 years old, it still works remarkably well. So I'm not complaining.

wedding #1 this summer went great. My brother was the happiest I've seen him in a while. Fiji was beautiful I made it without getting sick or sundburned! Hope everyone will have a good week!

If I had to give any person just one advice right now, I'd say: what ever it is, don't rush it. not that I'm adressing this to anyone here. it's just a thought. I'm feeling very heavy and broken. Weak. A month ago I rushed something and during that month all the progress I made this spring just fell down like a house of cards. I shouldn't have done that thing... Need to start over now. It's so frustrading. I was getting so proud of how strong and confident I was becoming. oh how the mighty fall. just another example on how I'm not meant to be a selfish, narcisistic person. only a bit selfcentered and conflicted. and probably starting to look like a crazy person right about now so...

So my dads band wont have a reunion concert this summer but they probably are over winter break and next year. Louisiana, Texas, and maybe New York and I would be going to see all of it! This winter would be just Louisiana because thats where the whole band is from.

Damn yankees and their Red velvet cake/waffles/icecream. I have no idea what it tastes like but it must be like little orgasms in your mouth, judging by all the fuzz. And who could forget your awesome meet up with Mike-Mike?!

Today I've managed to get sunburns on my cheekbones. That's a first! The lovely, perfect Finnish summer is finally here and I'm exhausting myself enjoying the hell out of it.

On another note: my mood swings are giving me a whiplash. I can go content, even happy for a long while, but I also might have something else going on at another level. Like this thing with men. They're totally only eyecandy or me from now on. I've lost all hope of ever having a normal relationship or even one encounter with one. My history with them has given me too much package. Though, right now I only want to make new friends with people of various gender. I get lonely a lot.

I can't describe what red velvet tastes like. It's not like a specific fruit flavor or anything. It's just delicious. I can tell you that it has cream cheese icing though.
