Re: Misc Stuff

Off The Map is cancelled.  Personally, I'm glad that Zach and Aimee can move on to something better.

Damn. I really would have loved to see a 2nd season for that show. *sigh* Just my luck to get attached to something that gets cancelled. Again.

Re: Misc Stuff

For now I am happy True Blood has a fourth season, but the show already broke my heart in Season 3, hahaha. But somehow I want the show to go on forever ... *sigh*

Re: Misc Stuff

I wasn't kidding, Anne. heh

I've got to rewatch some True blood before the new season starts. I love the show and it always has me on the edge of my sofa, but my memory is made of teflon and I need a little recap to get back on track. Been a whole year anyways..

He's Sam. I understand he looks very different in True Blood, but you can hardly miss him in The Starter Wife either! (Chest hair anyone? lol )

Re: Misc Stuff

Roger Ebert on the very flawed way we are seeing 2D movies now in the age of 3D.  Appalling.

Re: Misc Stuff

MTV Germany sucks. They cancelled their free service last year and because of that I wasn't able to watcht the MTV Movie Awards live. I had to wait until they showed a rerun on VIVA (another German music television channel, which sucks even more than MTV). Thank God most of the to me most important stuff showed up on youtube only minutes after the thing was over.

Re: Misc Stuff

Yeah. We were talking about how MTV is less music now and more crazy reality shows.  I remember my brothers watching it in the late 80s, non-stop.

I actually did record Teen Wolf and watched it.  It wasn't bad actually, good fun entertainment. I'm looking forward to watching 'Falling Skies' on TNT with Noah Wylie.  Looks really good.

Re: Misc Stuff

Glad to hear you liked it. My parents enjoyed 'Water for Elephants' as well. I'd like to see it to. I read the book a few years back, and found it just to be okay. But most people I know are enjoying the movie more actually than the book.

Re: Misc Stuff

It became my most favorite book and the movie is now my most favorite movie. And no, not just because of RPattz. The other actors were great too, especially Christoph Waltz. In the movie he is the biggest jerk but at the premiere in Berlin he was nice enough to sign my book and take a picture with me, how great is that? big_smile
And James Frain from True Blood is in the movie! I wished they had kept Hal Holbrook a little more in it, though. I loved the bits at the nursing home from the book.

Re: Misc Stuff

So excited about this casting for World War Z: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816711/  If you haven't read the book read it as soon as possible.  So good!  In fact I'll read it again knowing that its going to be a movie.

Ten years after the human victory over the world wide Zombie epidemic, referred to as World War Z, Max Brooks scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity.

I would have preferred Matthew Fox as the main lead, but Brad Pitt is a good call too wink

Re: Misc Stuff

Another good find for a sleepless night last night.  Jenna Fischer is starring in a new indie comedy with Rob Benedict and Chris O'Donnell called 'A Little Help'.  Looks really cute.  Here is the itunes website for the movie:
