Yes! It's awesome. Les Paul was a fantastic musician and he created the Gibson Les Paul guitar that is considered to be one of the all time greatest instruments on the planet. Pretty too...

Good luck with that job possibility, Anne.
So my dads band wont have a reunion concert this summer but they probably are over winter break and next year. Louisiana, Texas, and maybe New York and I would be going to see all of it! This winter would be just Louisiana because thats where the whole band is from.
Let me know when they come through Texas and Louisiana. If its in Shreveport I could defiantely see them! What type of music do they play? That will be fun for you and your dad to do together.
Thanks for t he fact on the google doodle today! Interesting and important info to know. I'll have to pass that info on to my dad and brother, guitar freaks.

I can't wait to play with the Doodle when I get home. You can play guitar on it and record yourself and send it to people. I wonder if I can pick out Smoke On The Water. That seems to be the first song anyone learns on guitar.

I wanna go to Louisianna, too! They have the most delicious food and my new favorite television show is set there. (Now guess what that is, haha. )

The bands name is The Normals. They would mainly play in Austin, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana. They are Indie punk and have no cover songs either all original and most written by my dad. I saw them only once before at a record store in New Orleans when I was young with one of my cousins. And I will dont worry Ill definitely about all the info here a few days ahead of time.

Well, as far as I know, the upgrade is 75 €, which is definitely too much for me at the moment, but it the starter version really sucks I guess I'll be tempted to upgrade. I mean, you're not even able to change the background picture!
Anne, I just learned there are tools that will let you change the wallpaper in the Windows Starter version. It's called Oceanis Change Background W7. More info here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/47 … arter.html

Haha, that's funny that you mention that today, I just learned about another way of changing the background for Win 7 Starter yesterday. Thanks, though. I'll look into it.

So two weddings down. One more to go at the end of the month. I do have to say my brothers lucked out big time. I have two new great sister - in - laws. Both brothers decided to have weddings in June along with my best friend from college who just had hers today. Glad to participate in them, but I will definately be happy not to be a bridesmaid any time soon. Three in one month is fine by me!

Three in one month is a little crazy....I was only in the one when my brother got married and that was plenty! Its alot of fun, but it can be hectic at times too

You get three weddings in a month, that is more than I had in my entire life. LOL

yup. Its been intense and dramatic but really good too. Taught me a lot of things and i really do love my new sister-in-laws. After this experience if and when I ever get married I just want to go to the courthouse or something. Its too much work and drama.

Oh yeah, I really love my new sister-in-law, too. And her sister. I connect with them very good. Much better than with my other brother's soon-to-be-ex-wife, but that is another story.

Im at Wild Adventures in Georgia. My moms friend said its really not crowded at all in summer when she goes. Im going two days tomorrow and Tuesday and cant wait! Its my early big birthday present! So Im having a smaller celebration on my actual birthday and going to this lake and rafting and hiking then. I really hope I dont have to wait in many lines when Im at waterpark and the zoo/amusement park. I heard its like deserted compared to Six Flags when it comes to waiting in line. Its so hot here though so I wont be at amusement park much. Im less than 4 hours from Florida and less than 2 from Savannah. I really hope I can go to beach in Savannah next summer.

Just wanted to tell you that I am going to be internetless during the weekend because I am attending the annual German Sturge-Weber meeting and I don't know how much time I can spend here before I'll be travelling since tomorrow is the funeral of my sister-in-law's grandpa, which we'll attend and on Friday I have a few appointments and errands to run.

Go to a day spa.

got the kids two days early yesterday and took a week-long roadtrip to Sodankylä So far so good. Kids behaving better and all is well. the weather is getting better, I think. There are dogs and horses (my sister is here for the whole summer with them) and I'm loving my childhood scenery. been years since I was here last. My webstick is working how ever it wants over here since there is no 3G up here. So I might not stop by here often, but I'm probably on FB daily with WAP on my phone. Addict? Me? *blinks* LOL

Thanks! Wild Adventures is great! Its only one in the world. They should build one in Commerce Georgia theres so much land there and it would be so much closer to me. They have concerts there alot and season pass for all summer is $69 with free drinks whenever you want and concert prices are included! I wish I could get a season pass. Its too far though.
I think a good Fathers Day present would be a movie on dvd your dad would want. Best Buy has some really good dvd sales for Fathers Day.

Sounds like you had a good b-day! So glad you enjoyed wild adventures.
Another sleepless night. My dog somehow managed to get through two doors (they were both locked, but old doors with much force could be opened even locked) back into the house. That and the police car giving a traffic violation next door to me were enough to scare the bejebus out of me! It will be miles before I go to sleep as they say!

I went to my favorite bookstore two days ago and found out that Ann´Brashares has written another Sisterhood novel. I had totally no idea. It's with the four girls, 10 years later. I'm going to wait for the paperback, but I'm looking foward to reading it already.

So I had a pretty nasty cold going on....headaches and the blocked sinus with wheezing chest...yeah the whole fun time. Thought i was getting over it, but not quite. My body decided it was better to develop an ear infection after all the fluid that has been swimming around in my head. So I am now on the "big guns" (quote from the doctor) of antibiotics and painkillers to get rid of this pain once and for all. Frustrating part is because these drugs have been knocking me around today, even after all the flu stress and medications too...yeah I spend about 3 hours awake each day eating and then take another tablet and bed out of it again. So long as I am better soon I dont care, but it still would be nice to be back to normal!!
