Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

PS: How do you guys feel about changing the title of this thread to "News About Chris's Co-Stars"?  A lot of what we post is not about projects, specifically. We just like to talk about some of these folks.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Okay with me, though I don't really see the need to restrict this thread to news only... I mean, if I wanna post here that I've seen something that one of Chris's co-stars is in, it'd be kinda off topic.

Yeah, that's true too.  I'll keep thinking, see if I can come up with a better title.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Maybe we should rename it to a more general title like "Stuff about/with Chris's Co-Stars" or "Co-Stars stuff". Just an idea.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

just saw episode 1x07 of Love bites. Aimee Garcia was great in it. big_smile Little less Constance Zimmer but I do love her character here. So much like sister Badass of JOA.  big_smile

off subject: Chris Gorham was great in that episode too. And Michelle Tranchenberg is in almost every episode. wink

How about just "Chris's Co-Stars"?  That's broad, but simple.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

You know what?  Saw a trailer for In Time today and it has no less than FOUR Alpha Dog alums in it.  Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried, we know about, of course.  But I didn't realize it also has Olivia Wilde and Vincent Kartheiser.  That gave me a smile.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I had just been thinking about JT and his ability to reach a magnitude of audiences.  Haven't seen FWB yet but I'm betting I will enjoy it and not just 'cuz he's such a cutie.  To me, there are hotter, more beautiful actors (CM!!!) but JT is just a very likable person and he really does a great job of picking his roles.  The fact that he is willing/able to  take on supporting roles helps us see that he is generous and accepting of himself. Cool.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I changed the name of this thread again because I wanted to talk about Infestation director, Kyle Rankin for a moment, who has always been a friend to us and this site.  He has announced his engagement to the lovely Emily Janice Card.  smile

I didn't mean to say that he gave off a gay vibe. I don't know, I guess he just looks like someone who might be gay. Didn't mean it as an insult either, it was meant in the best possible way. smile

Well, I didn't take it as an insult.  I know you're not like that.  I was just saying I never thought that about him.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

OMG!  I just tuned in to watch a TV movie with Valerie Bertinelli on Hallmark, and Mikey's in it!!!

It's called Personally Yours.   It's from 2000.

I love Hallmark.  That's fun - he also guest starred a long time ago on Touched by an Angel that I saw not to long ago on Hallmark channel.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yeah, we've been talking about it in the Sequels, etc thread.  I was excited about it till I read some off-putting things about the plot.  I'll still see it, but I won't pay $11 to see it in a theater.

$11 to see a regular movie, Deb? I paid for Glee 3D only $9.55 today!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yeah, the two theaters closest to me are $11 now.  And their "bargain matinee", which is only the show at or before noon is $9.  I hardly ever go to movies anymore.  Just can't afford it.  And I don't think you can go to a 3D movie for less than $15 around here, so I have never, and probably will never see one.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

That sucks. Theres no value movie theaters for $1 or $2 to see near where you are? There is here. Most of the movies though dont make it there until after or soon before the movie makes it to dvd and it can be crowded too. 3D is pointless when regular is just fine with me because its cheaper. Some movies though only have the 3D option. And when you try to pay for a regular movie and sneak into a 3D one the ticket people now stand in front of just that one 3D theater to make sure you paid for it.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

We do have a $2 theater, with only 6 screens.  Selection is limited and it takes forever.
