this certainly makes me think again next time I'm trimming my brows, sweating over not getting them to match and start wondering if it was better to take it all off. lol

I have very light blond eyebrows. You can barely see them, and I'm fine with that. I hate make-up so I just don't mess with them. They are as the Universe gave them to me.

It's the same with me. My eyebrows and eyelashes are very, very light blond, even more than my head hair. I do not put on make up that often but if I have to I always need to be careful because when camouflage covers my face my birthmarks the face looks too "empty" if I don't define my brows but it can't be too dark because that would make me look weird. I actually wonder if anyone would notice if I shaved them off ... but I'm not going to try that! LOL

I bought 22 books-dvds-cds and a Glee bag all for about $100 from Borders today. Im never going again. Everything was 70-90% off. I cant believe they are closing next Thursday!

It was sad to see the borders 500 feet from me close too. I bought a lot of children's books for my school library.

Didn't go to the reunion as my car wouldn't start again as I just picked it up Monday from the last time it wouldn't start. They obviously didn't fix it right so I get to deal with that asap tomorrow morning. There seems to be no rest for the weary.

There was a Borders near each of my favorite local theaters. Dave and I used to go eat, then buy our movie tickets and hang out at the bookstore till movie time. No more.

Borders was so expensive! The going out of store prices ever since everything hit at least the 50% off mark was for once reasonable. I barely bought anything from them before unless I had a coupon or it was something on clearance like old music bios for The Beatles and stuff. I never ever even once bought a hardback book, new release, dvd or bluray or cd too expensive!!

I only bought magazines from there mostly. Though I did buy Amber's second book there the night I interviewed her. Music and DVDs were just outrageous though.

that 10 year high school reunion was the most surreal experience ever. It literally felt like something out of the movies. Took a lot of courage for me to go. Glad I went. No one recognized me until I put my name tag on.

glad you had fun there we had our reunion only few years after 9th grade. it was so poorly orchestrated I'm still not sure if it was actually kept. our clasrings were engraved with a date and a place where it was supposed to be. I didn't get an invitation, but one of the popular girls contacted my friend asking if we were interested to go. I never went, because I had a small kid and couldn't go. now in the time of Facebook I'm always a little scared someone's gonna contact me and tell me me something like that was going on. I'd feel like such a loser there.

to add in the previous eyebrow conversation; I wouldn't be trimming my eyebrows if it was a necessity. Few years a go I let a friend of mine trim them and ever since I've had to trim them because they grow so weirdly I'd look like an insane troll for months before they were back to normal. I might get a random hair as far as 1,5cm away from the visible brow. wth? I think PCOS is messing up the hair growth there. If I wasn't trimming I'd probably have one of them catepillar brows that look so good on MALE actors. lol

Me neither. I was only invited once and I didn't have time then and also, the memories were still too painful.
I think it would be funny if noone would recognize me, but that's kinda impossible since I'll always be the girl with the birthmarks all over her face.

I went to my 10 year reunion. It was interesting. For the most part I didn't see any of the people I wanted to see, of the 10 to 15 people I wanted to see, only 2 were there. The people I hadn't liked in high school all showed up. The fun part was that I had just won an emmy, and my wife did a great job of telling everyone about it, so I got to put it in the faces of the people I hadn't liked.

Haven't been to one since.

Facebook has been much better for me with getting in touch with the people I liked in high school. I recently had lunch with a high school friend who I hadn't seen in 30 years. still 5 or 6 I would like to find.

I was never close to any of the people at my high school in my grade except for one person. Most of my friends there graduated a year before in 2008. I lost contact with all of the people I knew in high school so I doubt I will go to my high school reunion.
