Can't stand much sun myself so I love it. At least on my evening commute I don't have it blazing in my eyeballs. I drive directly into it both ways.

I hate the darkness. *crumpy* makes me so depressed and anxious so often. I need to move to Australia for their summer. Like some birds, I guess. heh. This morning I realised the sun doesn't come up until 9 am suddenly and it's already going down now at 3.30pm. *sigh*

Hahaha you should totally move to Australia! At least for a little while...but November in Melbourne is usually a pretty wet month. Warm but wet...little silly. 30C days with storms too, kinda amusing in general

warm day + storm is great. a little bit exciting. and makes my inner Valkyrie want to go out and dance in the rain. rather warm, stormy november than this darkening kind that always sucks the life out of me. not only that, the weather is cold enough to feel cold but warm enough to not make snow yet. so the darkness is like highlighted with the naked trees and dark ground. and the sodding greyish white cloud always hanging over us. *sigh* at least when I was younger and lived 200km north, the Northern lights made fall a magical time. seems here the closeness of the sea at the south and the northern wind coming down the river the temperature can be quite rocky. up and down we go. always sick then. *sigh* at least my cold seems getting better now and so does the boys' angina. I have to take them to their dad again today and maybe a little sooner than usual since it's Father's day here today. Next week I'll be feeling weird, especially since I've got three days of home school. sleeping in, doing the assigments in couple of hours, then just watching too much TV again and sleeping in. gonna be so anxious with "nothing to do" I'll be at the gym every day, I'll bet. best anti-anxiety 'drug'.

Today I couldn't go to my lymph treatment appointment because the train service had to be shut down for one hour because there were children playing in the track bed. HELLO??? Children have no business near any track beds! Where were their parents? Also, it was a friggin' cold day and they had to choose TODAY of all days, to play in the track bed? How stupid can you actually be? *rolleyes*
Sorry for the rant. I just needed to get that off my chest.

You haven't seen V For Vendetta, I take it? It's a Guy Fawkes mask. He's kind of the spiritual father of the Occupy Movement. And it's a riff on the Obama HOPE poster from the 2008 election.

I got the Obama HOPE campaign - I'd seen the V For Vendetta masks - maybe I don't remember the movie all that well I"m not getting the connection.

Maybe its because I've been watching How I Met Your Mother all night instead of reading up and watching the news! I kind of quit keeping up with the news when school started. It got too stressful for me. I do listen to NPR.

I go through fits and starts with the news. It makes me sick and robs me of sleep sometimes, but I'm also kind of a junkie for knowing what's going on in the world. A teacher made me this way, so there.

My history and current events teacher turned me on to politics and world affairs. It's painful sometimes, and I get avoidy because there's so much bad news. But the Occupy Movement makes me feel at least a wee bit of hope again.

Glad you'll have a good professor Mel! I just saw one of my history professors at a friend's wedding. Since I minored in history and there were maybe 3 professors in the department, I had like 80% of my classes with him! It was good to catch up. Stay connected with your professors. Especially after college, they are good mentors to go to for advise and jobs even after you graduate. At least mine were!

I talk to my past English professor of two classes sometimes. Shes my favorite teacher ever. Shes into punkrock like me and a feminist. I invited her to that q&a I went to and met Kathleen Hanna. She couldnt go but I showed her some pictures of the autographs and Kathleen and I and she loved them!
