Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I saw Rum Diary yesterday. Okay movie. Depp can do better but it was funny and most of movie kept my interest. Amber Heard was great!

From what I've read, it seems like the best thing about it is Johnny looks hot for a change instead of weird.

I heard he helped with publication of the book or something. He looks in it like he did in Crybaby but older I think.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Watched Valentine's Day just now.  It was silly, but fun.  Julia Roberts made me cry!  Topher was great.  So many good people in the movie.  If you like big ensemble romantic flicks like Love, Actually you'd probably enjoy it.  Most amazing moment for me was when Jennifer Garner grabbed that bat.  She's so badass.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I think I've watched that movie when it came out but can't remember anything you just discribed. I only remember something about Ashton and something about Taylor2... i remember thinking it felt like a hastily done movie. too much crammed together in too little time. it would have made a good tv series.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Topher Grace is in Valentine's Day? Oh. Maybe I should watch the second half some day. LOL Until now, I have only made it through the first half of the movie and for me the funniest thing was Joe Mantegna screaming at Ashton Kutcher.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

It's not the best movie ever.  But it had some fun moments and some nice surprises at the end.  I also watched Date Night yesterday.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/exclusi … on-trailer

First trailer for Jay Baruchell's Goon. Don't laugh, but I've always had a soft spot for Sean William Scott. maybe it's the chin-fetish, maybe it's the promise of a toned body and abs, or maybe it's the whole of his being that just screams at me "this guy would be perfect to play a hero or a caricatyre of a hero!" and I'm such a (super)herolover... but I do really like him. So I really hate that this trailer didn't really play for my crumpy laptop, but maybe you've got a better luck. tell me how it was.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

squeee! big_smile I'm 9 minutes into the new episode of NCIS (9x09) and just saw Grace Polk! I mean: it was totally Grace Polk. She even had the same hair and looked all the same. Her character was called Littleton, but it's clearly Grace who has infiltrated the marines to make a political point wink

came out today. It's the latter episode of a double episode. I didn't really see her anywhere else but that few minute scene somewhere around 5 minutes. but it was so Grace, you've got to see it! big_smile

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I missed Becky but ended up sticking with crappy NCIS.  I didn't realize she was only in the beginning of the ep.  I'll have to go fine Man Up online now.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

shame on you. NCIS isn't crappy. every episode is quality work smile I'm a big fan. I like how it stays loyal to its style but still keeps moving forward and staying fresh. I've liked it from the start even if I'm not a big fan of military/political/spy movies and TV. there's always a few exceptions that surprise me. big_smile a lot of actors have had guest roles in it like in the CSIs. Like Mike Welch was in one episode on 3rd or 4th season.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Sorry, I just find it boring as hell and incredibly cheesy every time I have to watch it to see someone I love.  Didn't mean to bash your show, it just doesn't turn me on, even though I've always liked Mark Harmon. I definitely wish I'd watched Man Up instead.

ok. smile can't argue about the matters of taste.

I haven't been to twitter for a while again. I just find it too hard to keep up to. I'd have to be on it 24/7 to know what's going on with all the people I'm trying to follow. I guess I'm just not much of a stalker. I mean follower.

Just came across this trailer for Dirty girl. Mary Steenburgen's haircut makes her look old. or maybe her age? I dunno. She's supposed to be young enough to have a teenage boy in this movie. Why did they give her such a granny haircut? 80s and all, but still.
