Have you seen Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Mel?  I loved it. I'm hoping I can get the DVD soon.

It comes out December 13th.  It's going to be my semester treat for making it through the first part of the school year!

I saw it in the theater and as a hardcore fan of the originals, I can say that I wholeheartedly loved it.

Re: James Franco Appreciation Thread

Due  to the hellish semester i've had and the craziness just happening week by week, I am so treating myself to this.  I saw it in the theater twice.  I can't wait to watch it on my new blu ray dvd.  This interview made me so excited about it.  Gave me chills just watching the clips from the movie!

Going to use my small christmas bonus on it!

I can't watch harry potter the same after watching Tom Felton in this.  big_smile

Re: James Franco Appreciation Thread

The jerk Felton played in Apes makes Draco look even more like a weenie, doesn't he?

Absolutely.  I'm looking forward to see what he has in store for him in his career.  I've seen him in interviews and he's quite charming.  The movie is called, 'From the Rough.'

I'm saddened now that I can't get Planet of the Apes this week.  I feel a little guilty purchasing it knowing my bank account was put in jeopardy.  I may have to wait until next month.  Patience....

Re: James Franco Appreciation Thread

Yeah, he seems really sweet in interviews.  I'll keep an eye out for that one.

Re: James Franco Appreciation Thread

Just watched 127 Hours again yesterday.  Still makes me nervous to watch it!  What a well done movie, holds up well upon second viewing.  What a great role for Amber too, hope to see her in more movies like this one!

Re: James Franco Appreciation Thread

LOL! big_smile I've been watching Hollywood heights lately thanks to finding it on the imdb list of a few actors I've looked up. James Franco is playing a movie producer in some eps. I'm watching episode 1x27 right now and his character just talked about watching the movie 127 hours and being inspired to take on rock climbing. big_smile

Re: James Franco Appreciation Thread

This guy... I admire he dabbles into everything & is trying to find himself... sometimes crazy stuff but sometimes good stuff.  He's not a singer, but I like the idea of the music video.  It reminds me of home videos my father use to make.
