Much more special effects. Good acting. Some things are changed and different but it works out.

This movie looks awesome.  Jay Baruchel co-wrote it with Evan Goldberg he's in it too.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

looks good in that "just watch it and enjoy some great actors' work and don't over think it" kinda way big_smile
I know I must have mentioned this before but Sean William Scott is my guilty pleasure when it comes to crushing on guys that seem like dickheads. that doesn't usually attract me at all but something about this guy rings my bells. lol.

also, I'm really starting to think Jay has a lot of big selling movies hid away in his head and desk. not saying they're totally genius but thatkind of comedy sells well in times like these.

I love Jay Baruchel - does look funny.  Sean William Scott always plays those type of roles but he's suppose to be nice in person according to his co-stars! wink

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

There's a bunch of new shows on the horizon featuring Chris co- stars.  Maybe he can score some more guest parts.  There's even one called Bent that Margo Harshman will be in.  smile

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

This news gave me some hope for the New Year!!!  It appears there may be some new shows to watch after all.  Fall's line-up was a disappointment to me but I see some shows that catch my interest.  And, both Margo, and Kristen Bell have new shows that might offer CM some guest roles.  Fingers crossed!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

And Callum Keith Rennie's getting a show.  Chris also knows Cheech.  And Efren Ramirez; how fun would it be for him to do a voice on Napoleon Dynamite, knowing that the whole JoA cast was obsessed with the movie?  Kristen Bell's also doing a voice on Unsupervised, so another chance for a voice role.  Annie Potts is on GCB.

But most of all, I wonder what it would be like for him to work with Margo...

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yeah, it's a lot of FASHION garbage to be even more specific.

There's a True Blood marathon tonight.  I'm watching!

Lost Girl is already showing overseas?  Well, ain't that a kick in the head?  Wow.

Oooo...I think that would be very interesting.  Are they still friendly?  Here I am on my soapbox again, but I sure as heck wouldn't have a problem seeing him in a sitcom. No doubt he can do comedy.  I just wanna see him and have him be seen...

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I don't know if they're still friendly, but I'm sure they could be perfectly professional about it.  And I am right there with you in just wanting him OUT THERE DAMMIT.  Makes no sense to me that after that House ep, he's not all over TV in guest roles while he's fielding movie offers.  Hollywood is so pathetically stupid.  I see all these guys on sitcoms and they're so generic.  Boring, every last one of them.  Give Chris a good part and there's nothing generic about him.  Sometimes I think that if there was still a Movie of The Week industry, he'd be working constantly.  And some of those films were truly great.  The premium cablers don't make as many movies as they used to.  Nor does Lifetime, or USA.  Fewer avenues in a poor economy where everyone's afraid to take risks is not a good environment to rebuild after years of outrageously unfair setbacks.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Has anyone seen Peter and Vandy? Jason Ritter made it 2009. I just stumbled on it since I saw Teeth and went IMDB... saw the trailer for Peter and Vandy and almost screamed "No Jason, don't have sex with her! I like your **** right where it's at!" heh. P&V looks decent enough to watch. maybe I'll try find it at the rental place.

She falls for him because it's drama.  You know how that goes.  They always have to break up the main couple.  roll

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

OK, I think most of you guys know that I ADORE Linda Cardellini.  Check out this trailer and write-up for her next film, Return.  Looks fantastic, in that very special, very human, very intensely dramatic way that is my favorite kind of film...

Of course I know. I just don't like all the crazy Eric fans who hate Stephen Moyer and Bill just because it's different in the books. If they don't like how the show goes, why don't they just stop watching and shut up? roll THAT is the kind of drama I hate. And yet, I am still convinced that I'll get my dream happy ending at the end of the show. I trust in Alan Ball. wink

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yeah, There's a lot of that on the IMDb board for the show. It's stupid and childish and I just ignore those people.
