Re: Randomness

Good movies I've lately watched on DVD/Blu-ray are:

Monsters (alien invasion post-apocalypse, but less action and more character focused)
The Road (very depressing post-apocalypse, but brilliantly acted)
The Town (Jeremy Renner ftw!)
Unstoppable (action all the way)
Leaves of Grass (very whacky drama/comedy mixture with Ed Norton playing identical twins)

X-Men: First Class is also worth seeing if you haven't already.

Re: Randomness

thanks big_smile I didn't know Xmen was on DVD already smile I don't think she wants to watch character based drama movies. action, comedy and horror might work better.

Good suggestions Teejay.  I loved The Town, I liked The Road just alright - I had read the book and wasn't too impressed with it, but I agree that the acting is excellent.  I want to see Leaves of Grass and Unstoppable.

Trying to figure out how to teach in England.  Always been a dream.  Anybody living outside of the U.S. have any suggestions of how I can start this process?  I know getting a visa for one...

In case you missed me here, I was kinda busy these past three days and didn't have a second to come online. I'm back now, though.

I have a fair few friends that have done it, but they were all Australian to start with, and as far as I have heard its pretty easy considering we are still a Commonwealth country.....sorry I can't be more help!

Between upper 50s and low 70s for the next 10 days.  I'd like at least one day of snow this year!

Re: Randomness

Oh yeah.  They're basically married without the law part.  The neighborhood they want to buy in is very much like the area Joan and her family lived in.  Those kinds of craftsman houses.  Really cool.

Re: Randomness

I got a perm for my birthday. some might think it turned out as one of them hair salon horror stories: she accidentally turned me into a female Friedman! lol i actually kinda like it! it has a bit of 80s feel to it. lol. I'm so gonna get laughed at. it's just the length that it no longer cute and curly but not nicely long and wavy either. But finally it looks like I've actually got hair! intead of a hand full of hair! big_smile

Re: Randomness

Deb - Thats amazing...I was so grateful that I had the chance to meet your friend. He was very sweet to me while I was in over my head in another country not knowing my way around and he was so very helpful!! Yay Joe, so happy for him to be coming home.

Maria - Think of it more as a Molly Ringwald cut....I think...hahaha post a photo! But if its short curly and 80s I can only think of Molly

Just bought tickets for a theatre play with Cate Blanchett. She's gonna be here in June at the Ruhrfestspiele in Germany. Hope it's gonna be good!
