TV Shows: Old and New 2012 Appreciation / Discussion thread

I guess it's already that time.  I know CW has a lot of ones that look interesting...

Beauty and the Beast with Kristen Kruek and Arrow seem interesting.

What are some other shows you've heard about that seem interesting.  Seems like they've had sooo many come mid season this year.

Re: TV Shows: Old and New 2012 Appreciation / Discussion thread

I'll probably take a look at the fire department show (even though it seems like another remake of Third Watch) and the post-apocalypse thing. I don't remember their names. Apparently, Peter Outerbridge is in the pilot of the CW's The Beauty And The Beast reboot (small role), so of course I'm going to have to check that one out too. Don't think I would have otherwise, though.

Generally I have to say that this year's fall lineup seems terribly unimaginative. There wasn't anything that I felt terribly excited about. I'm more excited about my summer shows coming back, like Suits, The Glades, White Collar and Necessary Roughness.

The big question mark for me this season is if I'll like American Horror Story, which was my favorite new show last year.  It's a whole new house and brand new characters this year.

I agree with you TeeJay - they seem to be spin offs or the same version of another show.  Although I do like Scandal.  I'm excited Revenge is coming back.

Still into scandal.  Anyone watched it yet?  I hope it comes back this next season.  It reminds me a lot of the West Wing.

A little off topic: does Californication new season start this year? If not, then when?

Californication usually runs in like January or so, doesn't it?  Best I remember.

Can't wait for this show.  Love Master Chef and Gordon Ramsey and have an obsession with hotels (especially after working in one.)  Fox's Hotel Hell:

Re: TV Shows: Old and New 2012 Appreciation / Discussion thread

Can I just say I'm loving the second season of Fallling Skies so far? Two friends of mine stopped watching it because they said it was too gloomy, too patriotic and even misogynistic. They might be right, but somehow I have no trouble looking past that and just enjoy it for what it is. Plus, Noah Wyle is just a joy to watch, even in clothes that look like they really smell bad. smile

Re: TV Shows: Old and New 2012 Appreciation / Discussion thread

THat's good to hear Teejay.  I love Noah Wylie.  I cancelled my cable subscription to save money but I'll check it out through netflix or online.  I watched the first few episodes and couldn't get into it but I hear from everyone that it gets better and better.  I think I'm going to change the name of this thread tv shows 2012 so we can talk about all shows in general smile
