That's great!
I'm ready to move, where should I go???? The Congo maybe???? Teaching English? There is a short term mission to tanzania I'm considering doing with my church this summer mainly to foster and provide assistance to female pastors there. However I'm stepping in there in the mindset that I might want to go abroad long term to teach there... Anyone know of services that send teachers abroad to teach and get paid (that's the tricky part...)???

Deb my doctor told me the same thing. I'm trying.... it's hard though when I get up at 5:00. I hit a block right around 6:45 and all I want to do is sleep. If I sleep too early I'll wake up at 9 and then won't go to bed until midnight. So I have a little caffeine boost at 1:00 just to get me through the evening.
I hope this week is a good week, for me and for everyone here! We have ANOTHER saturday school, we just had one last week. I guess they thought since February was a short month they'd just do it back to back. I had a bridal shower to host this saturday so I haven't gotten a lot of r & r & probably won't until the end of March. Its a really heavy season.

Can't sleep, need sleep.
What do you guys do to help you get up in the mornings?

I've never found anything to help me get up. I just have to drag myself up. Which is often difficult because I have trouble sleeping too. Lately Polly has started jumping up on the bed when she hears me make wake-up sounds. She lays on me and paws at me and I have no choice but to pet her so that wakes me up. Doesn't Elinor wake you up to go outside or anythnig?

Yes Elinor does help me get up but she's so snuggly that I just want to keep petting her! My goal is to get back to my 5am routine so I can pay more attention to her and not feel rushed and dragging a** in the morning into work. Literally waking up at 6:08 and out the door at 6:25. Poor Elinor. She doesn't like it, neither do I. I got one of those SAD lights and the light wakes me up but I turn it off because it goes on 15 minutes before the alarm actually goes off. I should probably stop doing that!
Unfortunately I got a case of the stomach bug I think. I called in today. Thought i was getting better at around 8:00 but have severe aches right now. Keeping good thoughts to go in for Saturday school. I have a group of kiddos that really need my help & I've got a lot of work to do too...

Oh, I get that. But Polly's snuggles are so aggressive and funny, it makes me laugh and then I'm awake. My clock goes off at 7 and I'm up by 7:15 and out of the house by 8:25 most days. But, see, I have to cool off after my shower now, with the hot flashes. So I think knowing that I get to flop back on the bed for a while helps me get up too. But it's always a struggle, no matter what.
Sorry about your tummy bug. I think I might've had a touch of something Thursday.
All week, I had issues with pain in my neck and shoulders. Monday was terrible, Tuesday was almost as bad, Wednesday was better. It continued to ease off. But then in the middle of the night last night, I woke in blind screaming agony. I didn't want to take anything else, since I'd already taken pain meds before I went to bed. I just laid there crying for a while and toughed it out. It finally eased off. Consequently, I ended up sleeping late today. Right now, it's a dull ache. But I think my ambition of cleaning all the floors this weekend (I bought a Bissell steam cleaner) is out the window. Wish I had some of those muscle relaxers my mom used to take.

Deb - have you tried getting a neck and shoulder massage or going to the chiropractor? Yoga helps too with aches and pains. I use to work at a spa and really like to use massage, especially deep tissue and essential oils for aches and pains. I hear chiropractors are amazing but haven't had the need to go to one yet. I try (as finances allow) to get a neck and shoulder massage once every four months. Put some hot towels on the sore spots and see if that can relieve some tension, that's what the massage technicians always told me to do at the spa.
Stomach is better, attempted a yoga class and I actually think it was a good detoxifier for that, especially the head ache. Hoping tomorrow will be a good day as far as that goes.

I used to go to a chiro. Need a new one. I would love to have a massage. I like the hot towel idea. How do you heat them?

Hot water first, and then just in the microwave for under a minute. If you have bath salts, especially lavender use that on the towels or hot rag in the shower and it will help release some tension too.
why do monday's feel like a whole week?

a student asked for 'mustache' today at lunch. I asked her to repeat again and she finally said the yellow packet and realized she meant mustard three minutes later a student asked for the white stuff for his carrots and after five minutes talking with him about what he meant we came to the conclusion he wanted ranch! Glad we are doing food vocabulary cards for our students at lunch! That's ESL students for you!

For me too. Sucks most because I have a sinus infection or something, cold, flu, whatever. It's kicking my butt. I went to work Monday and today, but I'm not sure yet what's going to happen tomorrow. My head hurts insanely badly right now.

sucks to be sick. rest up and get better soon. *hugs* it's easy. just picture the hottest nurse you could possible imagine ok, maybe it will work, but at least it will make your drowsy daydreams more exciting.
I've had this taunting "is it or isn't it"-kinda flu lurking around me for three weeks. drives me nuts to constantly have a stuffed nose, sore throat and glands, and a headache that comes bad some days, but other wise I feel almost normal. I'd be so pumped to get back to gym but don't dare to workout with this.

healthy vibes to you guys! Sorry your allergies are getting to you. Knock on wood I haven't gotten them yet, maybe because I suffered for months in December and January.
Finally spring break is here although I'm mainly packing to move at the end of the week. Oh well
