Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

TeeJay has already emailed her like three times in the last few days regarding this shirt.  My vote is that we leave the web address on there and not email her about it anymore.  I just don't want her to get sick of hearing about it.

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

Well, Tina didn't tell me that she wrote three emails to her, so how should I know about that? I still think we should just wait until/if she comes back to us about the shirt.

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

She did come back to me about the shirt and said: Whatever you do with the writing in the front is fine with me. So it's up to us. She's not gonna tell me anything more specific, so I'm not gonna e-mail her again about the shirt.

Why are we fighting about this? All I wanted was some creative input.

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

I wasn't fighting.  Seems like another time when I say something completely innocent and all hell breaks loose.  I made a suggestion, half joking and got poo-pooed.  It was all downhill from there.

How about this?

DorquetteShirt_front_Diane.jpg

It's not that different from ours, but at least a little.

Or this if we wanted to keep it simple:

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

I don't understand.  If you're gonna do the web address, why can't we keep the eyes?  I like them much better than that.

Okay, one vote for the eyes. I like the silhouette better, actually. But we can keep the eyes, sure.

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

I might like the silhouette better if it was  different pic.  That just doesn't do anything for me at all.

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

That's the only one I could find that did silhouette I could work with. And I tried at least thirty pictures to come up with something viable.

Okay, here's me fiddling with some more stuff, but I can see you're stuck on the eyes. wink

And just for comparison, here's the original design with the eyes:

DorquetteShirt_frontDiane5.jpg

Though I think the upper two ones should look more like this to not make them too broad:

I'm just spouting ideas here, so here's another one:

I'm not sure if I'm officially a Dorquette yet, so I can't be sure if my opinion is valid (lol), but I'd agree and say the second of those last two graphics is the best. Looks like it will make a really great shirt big_smile

That one works best for me. Although I don't like that the silouette pixelates, but I know that it will not show up like that on the shirt. It's just industrial disease, you know? wink

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

Yeah, I don't like how it pixellates either, but of course you won't see that on the shirt. I just hope that once it's on the shirt, it will still look like Chris. Because it just doesn't translate that finely once you've ironed on the silhouette and then paint it with a paint brush. But I'm gonna give my very best.

Brenna, of course your opinion counts. You're as much a Dorquette as we are, even though you don't have a t-shirt to prove it. smile

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

I hope your iron doesn't leave an iron mark on the shirt like mine did on the shirt you made for me.  hmm

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

It left an iron mark? Where? Sorry about that. Want me to make you another t-shirt? I'll try to be careful, but it's hard to balance it right. Because the iron needs to be hot enough for the pencil to transfer but not too hot to burn the tee.

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

Across the logo on the front.  It was probably my iron that did it.  The other shirts you made at your place didn't have that problem.  Also, it could be the quality of the t-shirt.  We bought that one cheap at Michael's.  It's not 100% cotton.  Maybe that was a factor.  No big deal.  I still wear it.

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

My T-Shirts don't have iron marks. Even if I iron them. LOL Remember when you noticed that mysterious spot on the white shirt I sent you? I was sooo happy when it disappeared after you washed it.

And now: GUESS WHAT ARRIVED TODAY! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Thank you, TINA!!! :grovel: I am going to have a huge blast with Cooper tonight! big_smile
Oh, and by the way, that Irish Keepsake Bear is soooo cute. I decided to call him George. I realized that I didn't have a George yet and since this name has a connection to Chris and Grey's Anatomy, I thought it was the right name for the bear. smile

Re: A Brief History Of The Dorquettes

Well, do NOT install the TV card thingie just yet, you need the driver updates that I was gonna send you. You're not on YM, so I'll e-mail them to you. There's the updated drivers that you need to use instead of the ones on the CD and there's also a Windows Vista hotfix that you might need to try if you run into problems with the sound or the picture. I just hope it works because I've read people on the message boards saying that this thing didn't work for them with Windows Vista.
