Re: American Gun

There's plenty pics of Amber on WireImage. Go have a look. Or was that the page that didn't work for you from home?

Re: American Gun

I can't get big pics on Wire Image from home.  Maybe I'll ask Larry.

There are a few bigger ones posted on Amber's official message board, that's were I found that one. I kinda "borrowed" that one, but I didn't want to "borrow" more. wink

Re: American Gun

Um, they're on Getty images, they're watermarked, that means they're public.  Anyone can repost them.  That's what the watermark is for.  Geez.

Re: American Gun

Same thing with Wire Image.  You can repost them all you want.  If you can get someone with a paid account to give you unwatermarked ones, you can post those too.  SOMEBODY paid for them.  Wire Image is never going to try to track down who.  They're getting their money from commercial sites which HAVE to pay to repost them because THEY are getting paid.  We are a non-profit site.  We cannot get in trouble for reposting anything, really, because we are not gaining monetarily from it.  Does that make sense?

Yeah well, whatever. I just wanted to be nice to the person who posted them on the other board. It was kind of a joke.

Re: American Gun

Here's a short tribute to the amazing Chris Marquette.

I just bought a new DVD player (because my old one broke and I was using one of Anja's on loan) and so I'm setting it up in the living room. I activate the codefree option, so I can also play US DVDs on it, so I after I've done it, I want to see if it worked. I pick a US DVD and the first one that comes to mind as I look at my DVD shelf is American Gun. So I put it in (it works) and I flick through the movie just quickly with the step forward button and land on the scene where David and Janet have their fight about David wanting to redecorate his room. And I watch it and I immediately have a knot in my stomach.

Chris and his intensity in that scene can do that for me, just like that, watching that random scene in the middle of me having a thousand other things on my mind. And he has me spellbound within seconds.

:youdaman:

And can I just say my new DVD player rocks? It reads USB, memory cards and all sorts of discs. It plays DivX and a handful of other formats. It's slim and silver and has a funky blue display. I'm in love with it already. LOL (And, no, this is not the DVD recorder I was talking about earlier, I'm gonna buy that one too. And, no, I'm not filthy rich, but I do admit that I can afford it without having to think about it too much--which is really nice and not something I take for granted easily. Because I'm aware that that can change sooner than I think, although let's hope it won't.)

Cool. I need to buy such a thing too, once I can afford it. I mean, I'm pretty sure I am going to have a lot of American DVDs, so I need a codefree player. wink

Re: American Gun

That's cool TeeJay. My dad just bought one of those spiffy new HD-DVD players (although I think it's an LG which plays both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray) and gave me our old DVD recorder to take with me to Massachusetts. Though I'm not sure if I need it, I might want to buy an EyeTV, which is a TV tuner card for Macs. I need a region-free DVD player at some point though, since I have a couple of DVDs that won't play on anything I own anymore.

Re: American Gun

Rob (my MacBook Pro-owning colleague) has an EyeTV, we just talked about it yesterday. He's happy with it, he says. I don't think the DVD player I bought does HD DVD, but even if it did, I don't have an HD capable TV, so it wouldn't be much use anyway. Besides, I'm not one of those people who absolutely have to have the latest best quality stuff all the time. I'm happy with the quality that normal DVDs offer right now, so I'm good. But I'm sure that if you have a beamer or an HD TV, then the quality must be stunning.

Re: American Gun

Our Irish friends have a beamer, it's really cool to watch DVDs with it, but for me I would be okay with a normal DVD player and TV, I guess. Besides, I am planning to use my laptop to watch TV, so I don't need to buy new stuff that soon.

Neither am I, but my dad is like a little kid at a candy store with all that technology stuff. He told me he would wait when these new players came out. I guess waiting for him meant a few months. It's fun to get his hand-me-downs though.

Re: American Gun

las night i saw american gun and freddy vs jason.
the character of david in american gun  is great, full of feelings and very strong, i´ve never seen chris acting this way in a movie, i like a lot , more mature than other films . he´s always a  crazy teenage in his films,  ( i´ve seen just friends, the next door girl, alpha dog, the invisible ,freddy vs jason and american gun )the scene when he is fighting with his mother is amazing and the last scene when he´s waiting alone is so sad. he´s a great dramatic actor. but freddy vs jason was a poor film for me.i don´t like much this type of films, but at least he is cute even with fear.:P
Now i´m with  huff a bad guy??? mmmm.....interesting!!!

Re: American Gun

American Gun is VERY popular around here.  We love the meltdown when he cries about being sent to the school where his brother's rampage occurred.  It's just brilliant work.

FVJ is a movie we refer to as Crap On A Stick.  Chris was the only thing even remotely watchable in that piece of junk.

Huff is one of my favorite things he's done for a couple of reasons.  He gets to be a real slimy jerk.  And he looks so amazing in the first ep he's in, Sweet Release.  Dead sessy!

Re: American Gun

Yes, we all love American Gun. Or let's say Chris's storyline in the movie. When I watched it with my friend Nick the other week, he also said that it felt more like three different movies that they tried to put into one movie, but that the storylines were too disconnected for it to work very well. I would have to agree. Chris was amazing in the movie. He blew me away. My favorite scenes are the meltdown that Deb talked about and the fight with Janet.

Silvia, if you liked the movie, you might want to read my short American Gun fan fiction. smile
http://www.chris-marquette.com/graphics … esidue.htm

I also agree with Deb on Freddy vs. Jason. My least favorite Chris movie. But it still has its (Chris) moments. I hope you enjoyed Huff. It was, once again, a completely different role for Chris.

Definitely still my Top 1 Performance. Along with The Tic Code from earlier. I LOVE these movies.
Yeah, FvJ is very poor, but like Tina said, it has its good (Chris) moments too. And Huff is something exeptional. I like Bad Boy Chris too. big_smile

Re: American Gun

I finally rented American Gun today! I'm going to watch it later tonight, and then I'll give my inevitable comments. The store had one copy left, and it was oddly in the new releases section. hmm I didn't bother asking, though. I need to raise a bit more money, and then I can rent Alpha Dog too.

My parents thought I was going to join some sort of gun safety squad when I picked it out, though. lol I explained to my dad I was renting because of a really talents (and cute) actor and he understood immediately. My mom read the back of the case and asked to watch it with me. O.o Surprising, but okay.

My life long dream is to somehow get Adam Rove into a puppy-suit. Until then, my imagination will have to tide me over.
