Any electronic gadget nerds around?

Geez, I'm trying to decide on which cell phone to get since I'm up for a new one. First I wanted the Samsung D830 (http://www.handys-mobile.de/img/samsung_sgh_d830.jpg), then I read some stuff online and decided against it. Then I fell for the to be released Samsung U300 (http://www.letsgomobile.org/images/news … g_u300.jpg), until I read that they indefinitely postponed the release in Germany. Great... Now I'm looking at Sony Ericsson ones. I really want a foldable phone, but most of them look so bulky (at least when you look at them online). Or they don't have Bluetooth, which I need because I use my Bluetooth headset quite a lot. Sony Ericsson also has a few really funky looking "normal" cell phones. I can't decide!!!! I love the design of the new T650i (http://www.areamobile.de/images/handies … i_News.jpg), but I fear it'll be way too expensive, even with a new cell phone contract. But I might just ask about that. I used to have Nokia phones before, and I'd love to get another Nokia, but they are just so behind with the foldable ones, and the other ones Nokia offers at the moment don't really tickle my fancy either.

So, any advice? What cell phones do you have, and are you happy with them?

What I really need to do before I make any decision is go to the different stores and fumble around with a couple of them, just to see if I'm happy with the feel and the functions.

Right now, I'm lost. I really want a new phone, but I just don't know which one to get.

I have a Nokia 6030. And its a pretty cool phone because whenever I go somewhere it has FM radio I think its really cool.

I currently have the Nokia 6230i (http://www.physorg.com/newman/gfx/news/1-6230i.jpg), and I'm happy with it too. But the phones out there today are so much better when it comes to bigger displays and multimedia capacity. I don't really need a phone that has UMTS and all that stuff. And I'm also not using my phone as MP3 player or camera. But it would still be cool to have a phone with a 2 or 3 MegaPixel camera with a big and clear display. I did check the Nokia site and they have a few phones coming out soon that sound cool too, actually. Like the 8600 Luna (http://www.portel.de/fileadmin/pics/N-P … una-07.jpg) or or the 6500 Classic (http://www.letsgodigital.org/images/art … -phone.jpg) or the foldable 6267 (http://www.nokia.de/de/mobiltelefone/mo … 84912.html). Hmmmmm....

I prefer the EDNA 2000X.
Charging time is a little long at 5 weeks, but the reception is good and you'll never miss a call when it's in vibrate mode since it shakes the entire house. I wish it came in black though....

Siemens used to make cell phones over here. Used to be the second most popular brand here, next to Nokia. Then they changed their name to BenQ. Then BenQ went bankrupt and now there's neither Siemens nor BenQ phones in Germany anymore. It was all over the German news when BenQ announced they had to close down their German offices and production sites.

Anne, I just organized you a new cell phone. I remembered that my mom just got a new cell phone with the new contract she got. She had my old 6610 before and she told me she doesn't need it anymore. I'm not gonna see her again before I fly to Atlanta, but I'll send it to you some time in September. How's that sound? It'll work with any network. Definitely with E-Plus since that's what I was using before I gave it to Mom.

LOL! Easy, easy. Hey, I do what I can. I hope my mom treated the phone well, but she's not one to mess around with things and I know she didn't use it that much. Just bear in mind that it's now, what? Three years old? Four? Wow, time flies... Cell phone batteries tend to get really crappy over time, I hope this is still good.

Oh, and my 6610 is silver, not blue.

Well, I guess it will work better than that crappy Siemens thingy I have. That's mobile stoneage. And it technically still belongs to my brother. He recently demanded it back, because his phone was broken, but I couldn't give it to him because I currently need a mobile phone. You know, internship, employment ageny and everything.
