It was a really cool time in our life...I hope it shows lots of that...and not just all about the cannabis, and the Drama.

#6 Re: Chris On Screen » Kid Cannabis » 02 Oct 08 :: 02:34

Super cool!  I really do want Chris to play the part of Nate....we will see??  And thank you for asking Chris about KC I am sure you have so much to talk with him about!  But having some info would make me feel so much better.  I spent most of this summer having panic attacks over the unknown, and the use of Nathan's name....

'Twilight' Star Cam Gigandet Talks 'Pandorum,' 'Pinkville,' 'Kid Cannabis'
Published by Larry Carroll on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 10:10 am.

long interview but then.....

"Kid Cannabis' is a movie that I love," Gigandet said of the based-on-a-true-story flick scheduled to be directed by "Turistas" filmmaker John Stockwell. "It's based on a 'Rolling Stone' article about a 19-year-old kid and his best friend. I play the best friend, and the two of us start smuggling marijuana from Canada into Idaho and make $68 million before we got caught. It's wild!"

lol I LOVE  how its more $$$ everytime....looks like it could still be on??

What I'll Be Working On This Fall
Hollywood has been in a bit of a dry spell until recently. As a producer friend of mine once told me, "you picked a bad time to get into the entertainment industry." As I was acting in Bart Got a Room, the indie film I did last November, the Writers Guild of America strike had just begun. That lasted until early this year. Then, there were rumors of a Screen Actors Guild strike. I'm unsure of whether this ever happened, as I never saw any official news about it. Even though it never occurred, I've been told that a lot of films weren't going forward with production because they were just being cautious.

This may have affected the next few movies I'm doing this fall, the first being Kid Cannabis, which I announced not too long ago. It was originally scheduled for shooting in July. Then it was pushed back until September. Now I've heard that they don't know when the shoot will begin, keeping it vague and saying "Late 2008."

This has all been a bit frustrating for me. I was hoping I'd be able to get this film out of the way and move on to the other two, but now it's up in the air. As I've come to learn, this happens a lot, and not just in this way. Everything I hear, every offer I get, it's all up in the air. I have no idea where I will be in the next two months. I could be in Canada working on Kid Cannabis, I could be in LA, or I could be at home making more reenactments in my parents' basement. It's all quite chaotic. .......

it goes on but not about KC......

I hope its a comedy, I am ready to laugh about it!  I know it will be so far from the truth that it will be funny even if its made into a Drama!  If John even gets to make this movie at all??

They are not communicating anything to me.....And that is really stupid on their part!  As of now Nate is not working with or meeting anyone.

#13 Re: Chris On Screen » Kid Cannabis » 30 Jul 08 :: 23:45

I would still love to read a script!  Hollywood's so slow and frustrating!
But that read makes me go back to its the "Topher show" !   Sad.... they will just use Nate for their profit!  I might feel different if they really worked with him! But so far they have NOT!

#14 Re: Chris On Screen » Kid Cannabis » 11 Jul 08 :: 09:01

John contacted Nate today...Chris wants to meet him.....Nate wants to read the script first!

Deb,

I can not say many nice things about prison....except it does a body good!   lol

#16 Re: Chris On Screen » Kid Cannabis » 10 Jul 08 :: 22:16

I Have Not Had The Opportunity To Read The Script....when John Approached Us With His Idea To Do This Movie I Don't Think Nate Or I Were Ready To Even Talk About It Yet...so John Has Not Really Kept Us Updated....sad I Would Love To Read It!
But I Lived It.....so Weird!!!!
