America Horror Story?  No, it generally runs this time of year.  There was a marathon of last season's Asylum over the weekend.  You saw season two, right?  It was phenomenal.  They got a ton of Emmy nominations.

Aw, man, that's great!  I really wanna see that when it comes here.  So glad you enjoyed it.   big_smile

I went back through the posts and I think I'm the one who was mixing up movies.  LOL!  Sorry, guys.  I kinda don't know what to make of having SEVEN Chris movies in the can waiting to come out!!

I'll add you to my contacts and see if you're online next time I'm on YM.   smile

I've got the Chris half of that pic where he's clowning around in the desert with Rumer as my phone wallpaper.  It's so perfect.  The blue of the sky kinda matches my cyan phone.

Well, see, this is like my aggravation at having so many non-Americans playing American on TV while great American actors can't get work.  I'm really, really sick of it.  But I have to admit I like a bunch of these actors.  Love some of them.  But it still grates my cheese that they're, yes, "taking American jobs".

My current obsession show is headlined by a Brit playing American.  Charlie Hunnam in Sons of Anarchy.  He's brilliant and I love him in the role, wouldn't trade him for anyone else.

Most of these folks do fine with their version of an American accent so that makes it suck a lot less.  Probably because there really is no "American accent".  There are to many regional dialects polluting our speech so you can get away with a lot more.

I think I can relate to your annoyance at the non-Germans in a way though because people who play Southern often insult the living shit out of those of us who actually are Southern.

There's a new season of American Horror Story starting soon.  This season is about witches and it's set in New Orleans.  I'm so geeked up I can hardly stand it.

#233 Re: Chris On Screen » Broken Horses » 24 Aug 13 :: 01:11

You're mixing them up.  In this one, Chris is a cop and his brother (Anton) is a drug dealer.

#234 Re: Chris On Screen » The Odd Way Home » 24 Aug 13 :: 01:09

This is THE movie I'm most looking forward to.

Not short for anything.  It's just a nickname.

Wow, my gaydar sure was off with Wenty. It honestly never even occurred to me.  He certainly picked the perfect time/reason to come out.  You go, boy!

We have a character name now for Chris, Buddy Heckum.  That's an unusual one.  He sure doesn't look like a Buddy.

Cropped this from the poster because I think it's really cute.

Yeah, I never noticed it either, until maybe 5 years ago.  I wear my hair very short these days, but I don't think anyone else ever would see a difference.

#243 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 10 Aug 13 :: 17:55

Of course not everyone who likes it is dumb.  That's not what I said.  My boss, who's kind of a genius (even though she's a bitch with an obvious empathy disorder) not only likes the show, she likes Charlie Sheen.  She and her husband even went to see him on his ridiculous rant tour after he was kicked off the show.  They think he's a really good guy, while most of the rest of the world sees him as an arrogant douchebag with serious drug and whore problems.  Hey, no accounting for taste.

What I said was that --- in my opinion --- the SHOW is a stupid piece of crap.  Seriously, watch it first, then we'll talk.  It's not just stupid, it's insulting.  Now, perhaps it's a little less despicable without Sheen.  I wouldn't know.  I have no interest in watching Ashton Kutcher act like an idiot for a half hour either.  Not even Kathy Bates was enough to make me watch and I love her.

Look, maybe you think I'd be upset about Amber joining any sitcom.  Not true.  It's this very specific piece of low-rent, brain-killing trash that upsets me.  If you don't believe me, maybe you'll believe the former "half man" who also recently exited the show in a controversial manner, after very publicly trashing it for being what it is... "filth".  He urged people not to watch it and said he didn't want to be on it anymore.  So they have gradually written him out.  The saddest part of all of this is that Chuck Lorre, the show's creator, is really talented and funny and has done much better work.  Maybe it's just that this one has been on far too long and has just devolved onto the absolute waste of time it is.

#244 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 09 Aug 13 :: 23:43

Hey, I'm deaf in one ear too!  My left.  Since I was 3, due to an inner ear infection.  And my ear is actually a little... "unformed".  Not as freaky as Stephen Colbert's deaf right ear that sticks out, just a bit under-developed.  I didn't even notice it until a few years ago.

#246 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 08 Aug 13 :: 18:31

Wow, that's pretty excellent!  What a nice find.  Thanks for posting!  I've missed seeing Aaron in front of the camera.  He's too good not to get more work.

#247 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 08 Aug 13 :: 18:06

Um, no, I doubt she likes it.  It's TERRIBLE, cliched, crass and just plain dumb.  And it's notorious because of Charlie Sheen's complete mental break down about a year and a half ago.  Let's put it this way, it's one of those long-running, completely stupid sitcoms that no one can ever explain being such a hit.  Like King of Queens, or that one with Jim Belushi that ran forever. I personally don't know anyone who likes it.  Now, I'm a long time fan of Jon Cryer, so I tried to watch it when it first started.  But not even my beloved Ducky Dale was enough to keep me watching that Godawful piece of junk.  I will, of course, check out ONLY the 5 eps Amber's slated to appear in, and I will hope that those are the end of this ill-conceived stint.

#248 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 08 Aug 13 :: 05:01

Playing gay is interesting, but not enough to watch that show.

#249 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 08 Aug 13 :: 03:38

Dammit, this depresses the crap out of me.

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Amber-Tambl … 68976.aspx

I do not want to watch this dumbass show.

#250 Re: Square Eyes » TV Discussion Thread » 05 Aug 13 :: 18:26

I'd like to see that, but I don't have a streaming account with Netflix.
