Aw, yeah, I understand the hassle; I just wanted to ask to make sure. But no, I do not have Yahoo! messenger. Now that I constantly use my dad's laptop, I might just very well install it again, but on his. Do you guys have it every so often, or just when the majority are online?

#227 Re: Joan of Arcadia » best JoA moments » 15 Jan 08 :: 06:38

I was just about to mention the Saw trilogy. I love it. You actually gain so much more from it than just blood and guts. I made the mistake of watching the first Saw by myself when it was on pay-per-view at NIGHT and I couldn't really go to sleep because all I kept hearing was the scary laugh that came out of the Jigsaw doll. Bah! The Saw trilogy are the only thriller/scary movies I have in my DVD collection, haha. Oh, and the Final Destination DVDs. I think I'll stick to those and psychological thrillers, if anything.

That sounds a lot like Cali. We went to cold ass weather last week to super hot! I had to drive to ghetto Long Beach today (okay, north LB) and I already got a farmer's tan! Bleepin' A.

I second that, Deb. Since it hasn't been confirmed, there's still hope!

#230 Re: Chris On Screen » Chris-Watch: Where and when to catch him on-screen » 15 Jan 08 :: 06:24

Hahahaha, no! I actually never really watched those shows. I did record some Power Rangers episodes though wink I was talking about my boybands/bubblegum pop days. *shudder*

#231 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 14 Jan 08 :: 06:44

Or play solitaire!!

Hey, off tangent, will there ever be a chat room on the website anytime soon again?

#232 Re: Joan of Arcadia » best JoA moments » 14 Jan 08 :: 06:38

I imagine! I'm not much of a fan of horror. Well, as long as I'm watching the movie (or any horror movie for the matter) in the morning, it's all good.

#233 Re: All About Chris » Chris & Kyle Newman Interviewed On Internet Radio This Weekend! » 14 Jan 08 :: 06:35

Ooooh! Canada's another place I'd like to visit.

So you're from Georgia, Melody! I've been meeting a lot of folks from Georgia lately. Well, not in person, but online.

#234 Re: Chris On Screen » Chris-Watch: Where and when to catch him on-screen » 14 Jan 08 :: 06:31

None of my VCRs really work anymore ;/ I think it's about time I throw away my tapes anyway. I recorded lots of things I maybe shouldn't have, haha. Ohhh, my very teenie days.

You should come to Pittsburgh for the cold/rainy weather... but you'll have to get accustomed to potholes big enough to swallow your car.  I've never been out of suburbia, I used to want to leave until I realized I like having a bed and a house and food.  If you've never lived outside of your hometown, you always wanna go somewhere else.  Grass is always greener...

Holy cow! Potholes aren't fun. Is Pittsburgh a fast-paced city? True. Even when I'm in San Diego, I would wish I were home (because I miss my momma's home cooking moreso). However, when I went to Washington, DC. for an 8th grade field trip, I felt so good there. It was nice, gloomy, and chilly. For sure I'd like to reside in an area where subways will be available though (not sure if Washington [state] have any).

#236 Re: Joan of Arcadia » best JoA moments » 13 Jan 08 :: 23:38

For sure, Deb!

I think it's fate, Samsy-Marie wink I still have yet to see FVJ. It never really appealed to me, but because Chris is in it, I may just watch it. If you look at the Chris-Watch thread, it'll be playing Alpha Dog, Just Friends, and Up, Up, and Away coming up in these few weeks.

#237 Re: All About Chris » How tall is Chris? » 13 Jan 08 :: 23:34

Haha. *shakeshead*

shoothoops, don't worry about it. My friend was 5'-ish in jr. high and now she's 5'6. She did most of her growing our sophomore year, I believe.

So I went to a party yesterday and I was the shortest one. Go figure! It made me think of this thread, esp. since my height was mentioned by several folks. I thought everyone outgrew "picking on Sophea's height," but I guess not. The good thing about being short, if you don't mind the attention, is that people notice you easily. What I like about being short is that I get hidden from everyone else, hah. I know, quite the contradiction.

#238 Re: Chris On Screen » Chris-Watch: Where and when to catch him on-screen » 13 Jan 08 :: 23:28

No problem! Up, Up, and Away should be interesting. Haven't seen that in a while, haha.

Yeah, I'm not fond of LA either.  Been there 5 times now, trying to do the screenwriting thing.  It has this sort of stink of desperation on it like no other place I've ever been.  I do love Laurel Canyon though.  And Venice.  The towns north and south of there are cool.  Long Beach is fun.  I couldn't live in LA.  I like San Diego a lot.

I haven't been to Laurel Canyon or Venice. Sounds nice. But it's funny you should mention LB and SD wink I'm from there. Actually, LB. SD is like my second home because both my brother and sister live there and I go there every so often.

Melody, so where do you reside now? Where in Europe, I mean?

I wonder if there's anyone happy where they are at. I know I kind of wish I resided in Washington or even England, just because I like the chilly/rainy weather yet I've never been there once, hahahah. I just feel like I belong there.

#240 Re: Joan of Arcadia » best JoA moments » 13 Jan 08 :: 04:00

Weird, I just ordered that a few days ago, haha. I saw some clips on youtube and had to see the rest!

#241 Re: Chris On Screen » Chris-Watch: Where and when to catch him on-screen » 13 Jan 08 :: 03:55

These are Eastern time, of course.

#242 Re: Chris On Screen » The Invisible » 13 Jan 08 :: 03:54

Oh, I agree! He was great in the deleted scenes (I saw the clips on here, thanks by the way!) and overall. I actually thought he outshone Chatwin, or maybe I'm just biased.

#243 Re: All About Chris » Chris & Kyle Newman Interviewed On Internet Radio This Weekend! » 13 Jan 08 :: 03:49

Haha, I know. I'm all talk because I haven't even gotten over my fear of freeways just yet. I told myself I should because I want to go to the Harry Potter (Half Blood Prince) premiere, but LA is just too congested and ghetto for my liking. Hopefully I can just bump into him at shows like I normally have with other "celebrities."

I think I'd pass out and miss the chance, if anything, haha.

#244 Re: Chris On Screen » The Invisible » 13 Jan 08 :: 00:04

Yeah, I didn't really like the movie either. It had potential though. I must say that I didn't like Pete ;/ There were so many "could haves" and "shouldn't haves" regarding this movie. Of course I tried to ignore it and enjoy the movie, but .. didn't work.

On the other hand, most of the actors did a really great job.

#245 Re: Joan of Arcadia » best JoA moments » 12 Jan 08 :: 23:56

Just the Joan DVDs and American Gun. I'm planning to get Alpha Dog as well. I saw it a while back when it was on pay-per-view and was meaning to get it because I thought Ben Foster, "the little lead boy that got kidnapped," and "the dude from Joan of Arcadia" were phenomenal in it. Oh, and I decided I WILL get Just Friends. I enjoyed it a lot, but thought it was the type of movie I'd just see once; however, I realize I can actually watch it over and over again without getting sick of it.

What about you?

#246 Re: All About Chris » How tall is Chris? » 12 Jan 08 :: 23:49

Why wouldn't she let you put that on your license, Laura? Odd! Hahahaha!!

5'4-5'6 is average to me. I'm around tall people all the time and I never feel small- unless the people are jerks and like to point it out. I'm glad those days aren't as prominent like in jr. high or high school. I don't miss those days.

Wow, thanks for posting the links, Deb. This movie and story need to be made and told!
