#2526 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 03 Dec 07 :: 21:47

The DVD doesn't have scenes cut, as far as I know.  The movie aired on a TV station called Lifetime in the US over the summer, I watched it then and Amber said they shredded it to bits for time restrants and so it would be sutiable for television, meaning they may have cut out swearing, sex scenes, etc.  Lifetime's usually pretty good about the sex and swearing, as long as it's not the f-bomb or graphic sex so they must have had timing issues.

#2527 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 03 Dec 07 :: 05:17

It was good on Lifetime, and Amber said the network cut it down a lot and totally took out a pivitol plot.  So I guess technically I didn't see it.  Amber seems to think it's a great movie though.

#2528 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 03 Dec 07 :: 04:54

I saw it on lifetime, but accourding to Amber they totally basteredized it and ripped it to shreds. So I can't give a good review on it.  But even ripped to shreds, it was still good.

#2529 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 03 Dec 07 :: 01:57

In my mind, it was a given.

I haven't done this in a while, give me some leeway wink

#2530 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 03 Dec 07 :: 01:24

She got her's... didn't she? yikes  What?

#2531 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 03 Dec 07 :: 00:17

I posted a new smut story and it's my first one in... a while.  And it's only 290 words so... there's a good chance it'll suck.  And not in a good way.

#2533 Re: Fan Fiction » Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies » 02 Dec 07 :: 21:23

I'm gonna send you an email in a minute.  What address should I send it to?

#2534 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 02 Dec 07 :: 04:50

I doubt many people were on pins and needles, you're just easily excitable winktongue

#2535 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 02 Dec 07 :: 02:39

Heh.

Thanks.  I probably won't write more multi-chapters, at least in the near future.   Lips of an Angel was originally gonna be a little longer, but it ended up not being really fun... that's the good thing about drabbles, you write what you want to write when you want to write it.

#2536 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 02 Dec 07 :: 01:32

It's cool.  Arcadia's a fictional city, it can have one if I want it to.

I just posted the last chapter and wrote in him going to jail and stuff.  I left out his scary tattooed cell mate who stole a puppy wink

#2537 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 02 Dec 07 :: 00:42

And I thought of how to play with it for the next chapter so Adam does get what's coming to him, sort of wink

My friend went to D.C. not too long ago, her boyfriend could get to behing the gate without a ticket.  *shrug*

#2538 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 02 Dec 07 :: 00:35

Alright.  I had a flub-up then.  I probably won't have to deal with airports again.

Adam broke the rules, he'll get arrested.  Oh well.

#2539 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 02 Dec 07 :: 00:15

Posted chapter 7, next chapter is the last... in case I come up with something to happen between now and when that one takes place.

The public embarrassment I put Adam and Joan through, I'm not sure is even possible anymore.  I haven't been on a plane or even in an airport since long before 9/11 and obviously everything changed.  But I did my homework, and apparently non-ticketed people can go to the gate but not enter it so...

#2540 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 01 Dec 07 :: 23:30

Apparently, Stephenie Meyer doesn't know anything about anyone else in the cast other than Bella and to her knowledge, no one else has been cast.  I don't know why, but I think that's complete bull.

They're starting production in two months, shouldn't they have the second main character by now?

I don't know why, but I have a feeling they do have an Edward and they're keeping him underwraps to prevent the fangirl riots, because he doesn't look enough like a man that isn't even human and therefore is impossible to look like.   But Stephenie did say not to expect any actors you'd know to play any major roles, so I guess Zac's out (thank God!)

#2541 Re: Fan Fiction » Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies » 01 Dec 07 :: 13:24

A brand new and very important chapter

And very long chapter

#2542 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 01 Dec 07 :: 06:08

I don't think he's cute at all.  He's an over-rated, untalented, Disney produced, pretty boy.   One thing Stephenie said is that she wants to be able to believe that the actors are their characters, no way would he be able to pull that off.

#2545 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 01 Dec 07 :: 04:45

Posted chapter six.  Nothing is really working out right for poor Adam.

Up next, public embarrassment! tongue

#2546 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 01 Dec 07 :: 00:12

Adam and Joan were my last hope... now who's pathetic?

They probably will be together, it'll just take a while.

#2547 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 30 Nov 07 :: 23:59

Episode 7 of the whole series?  :clueless:

Anyway (I don't think I'm being spoilery here), Meredith's just very disturbed.  She's had a tough life and obviously has major trust issues because of her parents.  Even though she knows it's safe, she's afraid to let Derek in and risk getting hurt.  At least that's what I got from her.

#2548 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 30 Nov 07 :: 23:33

Guess I'm gonna have the same talk with you I had with my mom last night about Mere...

#2549 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 30 Nov 07 :: 22:06

I don't really want her to blow me.  wink

We all know who you want to blow you tongue

#2550 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 30 Nov 07 :: 18:46

The only way I wouldn't see it is if they cast Zac Efron or someone like him for Edward.

I think (hope) that the people in charge of the movie won't tear the book apart too badly.  Stephenie Meyer isn't involved much, but she does get to read through the script and has to sign off on it.
