Elinor is teething majorly.  How do I handle this?  I got her lots of toys but the only things she likes are my shoes and hands smile  She gets upset when I cover my hands and starts barking.  What do  you recommend?

OK, next DVD I'll watch will be Alpha Dog. Haven't seen it in a long while anyway.

Agreed - haven't watched it in a while.  Let's not forget to put Infestation on that list wink  That's one of my favorites!

sneezing. a little diarrhea but that stopped.  I need to take her in for a monthly check up anyways.  It's mainly at night when she's sneezing.

good for you Mel... Hope you enjoy your break.  I've thought about doing an online educational masters in school counseling with Salem College in North Carolina.  Do you like it?  Online started happening right at the end of my senior year so I'm pretty new to it myself.

Sinus, cold infection, all before thanksgiving break.  Sure that looks so convenient to everyone.  Principal wasn't happy, but I can go in and get worse like I did last year when it lasted for a month & turned into bronchitis or I can stay in and take some meds early.  That's how I see it.  At least Elinor is here to take care of me.

I was sick last week, I think it's still lingering from then -- it was really windy and dusty and I think that wasn't good for either Elinor or I.  I'm actually taking her to the vet for her monthly check up and to ask some questions as well about allergies for her...

2 more days until Thanksgiving Break! smile  So ready!

#261 Re: Chris On Screen » Hawaii Five-0 - Episode 3x05 » 11 Nov 12 :: 06:35

Now I see why we've been asking about Hawaii 5-0  tongue Been out of the loop apparently!  Will definitely watch it.  I hope these guest roles lead to a full role maybe?  Hasn't he done a few guest roles on CBS?

I watched Emily Owens, and felt like it was too much of a teen version of Grey's Anatomy, so I opted not to watch as there are just too many other shows to watch.

I am enjoying the Mindy Project

On last resort- I think we can all agree and know from personal experience in some way or another that there are some DEFINITE morons running businesses and it is scary.  That's what made 'The Office' so popular when it came out, because people could identify with how ridiculous the boss was.

So far I'm LOVING Arrow.  Pilot really caught my attention.  I also REALLY enjoyed Revolution, more than anticipated.  My guilty pleasure shows this year are still Beauty & the Beast, Revenge, and 666 Park Avenue.

Interesting... I'll have to look into this movie....

BTW.... Elinor and I are AMAZING! All that waiting and searching paid off.  She's my doggy soul mate.  Although she will need lots of attention.  I took her on 5 walks yesterday and today all totaling about 5 hours.  Thankfully I live in a very walkable neighborhood full of restaurants, parks and activities for her.  Very dog friendly too and she's really warmed up to the neighborhood.  I'm going to miss her tomorrow while at work.  sad

Elinor, a friend and I went on a walk to see the trick or treaters.  She was a little scared at first but warmed up quickly.  She certainly slept all night long!  woke up about 4:15 this morning though.

I'm ready for Friday!

lol that's great.  Crazy guys.  Looks like you had a good time!

I love my dog --- we were meant to be.  so nice having something to come home to today.  Her aunts, uncles and grandparents came to visit while I was at school - she's definitely a popular girl.

#268 Re: Square Eyes » The 2012/2013 fall season » 29 Oct 12 :: 04:53

I'm getting into it Deb --- I like it elementary too wink I'm especially liking 666 park avenue and beauty and the beast. I know they are more night time soaps but pretty entertaining.

TeeJay - it could have been Christie smile

Domstic - I hope you adopt someday.

One of the heroine's in Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility, one of my favorite books.  I wanted something British.... She'll be nick named 'Ellie.'  Trying to dog proof my apartment tonight!  Pray or send good thoughts for safe travels for her!

#271 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 25 Oct 12 :: 04:55

Thank you! She comes Friday.   After a saturday school I'm eagerly anticipating each day to friday.  Thursdays always feel like Fridays after saturday school.  This has been the longest week anticipating her arrival smile

#273 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Dreams... snakes » 22 Oct 12 :: 05:02

I had a crazy dream this afternoon while I was napping. I dreampt I actually woke up from a nap believe it or not, at our old lakehouse we grew up in.  I noticed two big spiders on my bed covered in dust.  They didn't distrub or bother me.  I was too tired to even care about them- it was sunlight so I thought I was safe and just fell back asleep.  I just remember feeling uncomfortable knowing they were there but simultaneously knowing they wouldn't do anything to me since they were all just dust and ashes I thought they were dying.  What do you think that means? First dream I've had in a while that doesn't deal with driving -- those driving journey dreams I have ALL the time.

#274 Re: Square Eyes » The 2012/2013 fall season » 22 Oct 12 :: 04:52

Deb - did you watch American Horror Story?  What did you think/  Very curious.... we'll see where this goes....Like that Tim Minear wrote  the first episode.

I know it may sound cheasy but I actually like Beauty & the Beast. A supernatural crime/svu type show similar to supernatural but with Girls instead of boys.  Great role for Kristen Kruek.

Vampire Diaries is still AWESOME.  I enjoy Elementary too.

I know there are lots of changes to 'The Office' - but so far I'm enjoying it.  I miss B.J. Novak though - he was one of my favorite writers on the series.
