When Bonnie wanted to talk to him?
No, it was when Joan returned the stuff he made for her. Where does he get off being angry with her? He just glared at her. She was in so much pain and he was almost rude to her. He doesn't seem to notice how much she's hurting, much less accept any responisbility for it. She said something ("I thought you might want to give it to someone else...") and realized that she'd hurt his and tried to make it better. ("...Not to another girl. I thought maybe a gallery. In the future.") But he shows no regard for her feelings at all. This is almost more out of character than the stuff with Bonnie.
Oh, yeah! THAT locker scene. I know!
Hey Laura! Thanks for the welcome.
.. and what do you guys mean by no "popping"? I think I'm popping right now ;/ (Interfering with the convo, right?)
It's nice to know people are as passionate as you are about different characters- even if they are from a TV show.
Yeah, I remember someone mentioning how only Adam really had close encounters with God. I never really noticed it before until I began re-watching the episodes when I got the DVDs. Oh, how I wish there was a third season!
Ooo, I loved how calm and soothing his voice usually were.
His behavior at the end of that episode was a considerable improvement that at the beginning. I didn't even know the guy at the lockers.
When Bonnie wanted to talk to him?
What! You're making me choose? I did see this last night
,
that you posted on TBO thread and nearly collapsed. I can't pick! Do YOU have a favorite?
Ohyes, I saw the reel! You guys did a great job. In fact, that's where I saw the Huff clip, I think, haha. I meant to download the other scenes in the media section. Hopefully I'll understand what's going on without having to see the beginning of the show.
Hehehehe, :drool::drool::drool:
Aw, Chris is a regular/normal dude.. Oh, how he makes my heart pitter patter!
I love your guys' pictures! So great! I did catch a few on the messageboard that wasn't in the gallery. Can you say, scrumptious? Yum!
Thanks again for all your help, Deb.
LOL! I just drool at the sight of Chris's face.
Oh, the scene where they looked back to each other when she dropped him off at the hotel was in "The Gift" (I think?); Deb didn't mean in "Anonymous"- we just went off tangent with all the glory that is Adam Rove
AND YES, CAROL! I was talking about "QotZ"! YES! Thank you! I loved that episode. It helped that Mike Damus played Johnny Broadway ;P
I kind of figured that Chris and Amber did things off-scripted because there were times when Chris/Adam laughed/smiled and I don't think he was supposed to.. haha.
Yep. Exactly. I love that! There's a link to the page where I got it on the Fanart Page, in the Avatars thread.
Oooh, awesome! Again, thank you. That was the shot I wanted for myself (to get onto my phone) and meant to get it after I watched all the DVDs, but after T&E, I was in that odd state.. I can't explain it.
I love that scene at the end when she goes over to get her stuff back. The way their impulse is still to kiss when they say goodbye. It gave me a glimmer of hope. I want to know if it's scripted. A lot of A/J's interaction was NOT scripted, but improvised by Chris and Amber. They got to know their characters so well.
Hah, I was rooting for a kiss as well. I found it odd that when she left, he went back to work almost immediately though.. at least I think he did..
Deb, is your avatar the episode where Joan asks if somethingsomething and he says, "I don't know. I was looking at you"?
Deb!
It's weird putting the when it actually shows up as a wink icon. I know I could disable the code, but the smilies are fun!
True, Deb, that was an awesome, subtle scene as well. I just love the innocence between Adam and Joan <3
And yes, justme, I remember that. However, as much as I like Grace, I liked it better when she put it on Adam ;P Was that the episode they did the Eskimo kiss? I was trying to remember where I saw that. I could have sworn it was in the season two though.
What's the first thing your ever saw Chris in?
I actually remembered him in random shows he appeared in once (The Nanny, 7th Heaven, Even Stevens), but only paid close attention once I saw him on Joan. Drooling was involved.
What's your favorite thing he's done so far?
Joan! Of course!
What's your favorite scene in that movie/show?
Again, the ending scene in "Bringeth it On." I like fluffy stuff, I can't help it!
Who's your favorite Chris character and why?
Rove. He didn't have to say much and I understood him.
Do you remember the first time you Googled Chris? What site did you land on?
I moreso IMDB'd him because I didn't google much. I was also young then, so I just checked his age and left. But a couple months ago, I did search for him and found this wonderful site
What were you looking for when you found our website or how else did you stumble across it?
Pictures, interviews, and other fans to talk to.. which I found, yay!
What role in what movie --- any movie --- past, present or potential would you love to see Chris play?
I think Chris would have been a perfect Sebastian in "Cruel Intentions".. well, that or Finnegan in "Great Expectations."
Seen any Chris movies in a theatre?
No. I rarely go to the movies in theater. No matter how much I may adore and like someone, I am still a cheap-butt.
Own any Chris movies?
Just Joan. I'm a bad fan.
Have anything special recorded off TV?
No ;( I wish I knew of Huff earlier. I saw a short scene and he was fabulous.
What do you like most about Chris?
I like how he's a mainstream actor, you know, semi-known, yet he manages to stay out of the limelight. I tend to like 'celebrities' like that because they tend to be the most grounded and level-headed. Oh, and I like how he's just normal.
If you could ask Chris one question, what would you ask?
Hmm.. I'd ask him if he could be any candy bar, which would he choose. Just so that I can know how he sees himself as well.
Do you have any of Chris's lines that you can quote off the top of your head?
Yep. I tend to quote the "I'm.. so...sorry" from T&E in Joan a lot. I can't get it off my head. It was hard to be so mad at him during that episode because of that! He's the epitome of incredible.
Have you met Chris in person? If so, tell us about it.
No. I feel like I've known him from a past life or something.
If you could have him autograph one item or photo, what would you pick and why?
My heart. KIDDING! Hmmm.. I'm not one who cares for autographs, to be honest. I prefer pictures.. hence why I rarely have autographs of celebrities I've met.
What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy
d) a horror movie
e) a drama TV show
f) an action movie
g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)
I'd like him to do the dark and suspenseful thriller and a dramatic sitcom again. Or just a dramatic role in general. Again, as much as I enjoyed him in the comedies, I prefer dramatic Chris. He NEEDS to be put into good use again!
AND HI EVERYBODY!!
YAY! Thank you. I am honored to be here. Hmm, you can call me whatever you like. My real name's Sophea, but Soph or Sophia will do. I really don't mind What about you? Is Sisterdeb okay, or should I just say Deb? I wasn't too sure about that.
And we're very glad you're here.
Be sure to go to the Introduce Yourself thread and answer our questionnaire. It's a great way for us to get to know you. And reading other people's answers is a great way for you to get to know them. Welcome to the boards!
Oh! Okay, I'll do just that Thanks for the heads-up. You're always so helpful, Sisterdeb.
Wow, you guys picked some awesome scenes I was thinking of!
1) Best Opening A/J scene
Hmmm.. opening.. opening.. when Joan begged Adam to do the planting determinate project with her. I also liked the subtle part where Adam was doing situps, and she put her head on his knees. <33
2) Best Closing A/J scene
It's not really a closing scene, but it was towards the end. During "Bringeth it On," I nearly died when Adam gave Joan the cheerleader craft he made. Too cute. I especially liked when she touched his arms and corrected him when he said Jane and he was lost for words ;P How many guys are like that nowadays? C'mon! Oh, and as he was leaving, he turned back and gave her one last look (without her knowing ). Like the saying goes, "always have hope for the guy who looks back one last time"-- err, something like that anyway. Of course there were loads of other scenes I absolutely loved, but this takes the cake for me.
3) Best Kiss
I would have to say the kiss in "Do the Math"- I think that's the one, anyway. It was the episode where Adam finally broke it off with Iris and they played "Collide". It was the kiss I was waiting for after "Jump"!
4) Best Joan/Other moment
I will always love the scene where Joan got Luke the kite he always wanted for his birthday. That was very sweet and unselfish of her.
5) Best Adam/Other moment
Of course I'll have to do with an Adam/Joan moment again. I LOVED it, during "No Bad Guy", when Joan put her injured foot on his shoulder. You could tell he was a little excited by that. Or, caught off-guard, but I know he liked it!
6) Best use of a song for an A/J moment.
Hmmm.. I'm not good at knowing the songs..
Wow! I really like the pics from Trial and Error that you posted, Sisterdeb. I think I may just use it for a graphic/siggy on here. May I?
Hey everyone! I took Sisterdeb's suggestion and joined the boards! I am so glad to be finally conversing with other JOA fans without people constantly asking me, "what's that?" or correcting me and insisting I mean Joan of Arc *shakeshead*. Anywhoo! So did you find season two, or watched it yet, Mutant_Enemy? I finished both seasons in less than two weeks, I think. It would have been earlier if finals and papers did not get in the way. I actually did not study or worked hard as much because of that; the show's worth the B's I got anyway, haha.
