Thanks for the warning, I'll wait until next week before I watch it now.

#554 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 05 Apr 11 :: 21:31

Actually, outside of JoA I have only seen Kris in Final Destination and that is a movie I wouldn't "suggest" to anyone.

For me, it's pretty safe to say that Amber and Kristen are really my most favorite actresses and I'll support them with whatever roles they choose to play. I know they can't fail me. smile

Ah yeah, read that, too. I so wish I could go to one of those festivals. It's sooooo boring here at the moment. sad

#559 Re: Square Eyes » The Runaways/Joan Jett/Kristen Stewart - WARNING: ADULT CONTENT » 04 Apr 11 :: 17:02

Well, I guess they just *want* to hate them, or it's because they hate the fact that the Twilight vampires aren't your typical vampires or because it's such a big teenage thing. Although there are tons of adults who love it, too. I honestly don't care. If they want to hate the movies, they can hate them as much as they want, that won't change that I still love them. Actually, if you ask me, it's the same with the Harry Potter fandom or even Justin Bieber. Either you love him or you hate him. And I guess since there's the internet nowadays and people from all over the world can discuss those topics it became huge and that's why everyone notices it. I mean, look what happened when the Beatles came, or Elvis Presley. It's not that different today, it's just bigger because it's all over the media.

I'm just tired of hearing how bad the acting is, because I've seen movies with acting MUCH worse than Twilight. But yeah, they can kiss my ass, too. wink And with that I also hate listening to people whining about Kristen's acting while Twilight is the only thing they ever saw her in. Same with RPattz, but I won't start that discussion here again.

Fucking brilliant film.

Woohoo! I just KNEW you'd love it, Deb! I guess we do have pretty similar taste in movies somewhere. big_smile

As if I didn't already feel very strongly on the issue of Kristen-bashing, if anyone else ever says anything bad about her to me and I can reach them, they will suffer a face-punching.

I am RIGHT THERE with you! Sometimes, if people "complain" about how "bad" she is in Twilight I just want to FORGE them to watch her other stuff. I get why people hate the Twilight movies (I, for my part, still love them), but you can't judge any actor who's in the series just by these movies. Makes me angry every single time. roll Those people should see The Runaways and WTTR. Oh, and The Cake Eaters, some kind of a Kristen version of The Tic Code. I loved it!

I do watch the show, but I couldn't find time to watch the new stuff yet. But I'm definitely going to watch it soon. And I'm getting the Coop tweets even twice because I also follow him on Twitter. LOL

I'll have a look at them later, I had chores to do all day, too. And I'm not finished yet.

Not quite an April Fools joke, but still this happened to me today (actually one day after April fools, I know):
It's Saturday, right? So I sleep in late. Means I am still in dreamyland at 10am, dreaming a very good dream (don't remember what, but it definitely was good because I was all confused when I woke up). So I go to answer the interphone. Turns out there is some "church" person waiting standing downstairs and starts talking sh*t like "Hello, my name is xyz, I am at your door now and I wanted to ask you if I could put an invitation to <insert name of celebration for Jesus I have never heard of before, thank you.> in your mailbox."
Wow. I was -> yikes speechless. Okay, my mailbox may not show immediately that I don't believe in God or that I never go to church anymore these days, but STILL ... it was F***ING SATURDAY!!! AND IT WAS F***ING TEN AM!!! And this is already the third time people like that showed up at my door. I hate this. I wish there was something I could do about that. *sigh* I bet it wasn't even a real church. I think there are some dubious sects in this town here, fishing for new members. Sorry, just needed to rant about it a bit. roll

Oh, and I just found this video on their Facebook page:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0JItQ2O … r_embedded
Don't know how new that is, but it says "Official Trailer". We might have seen it already, but the post on Facebook was pretty new, about four hours ago or something like that. Apparently the film is going to be shown somewhere in DC on Saturday, May 14. Hey, isn't that Amber's birthday? LOL

Found it!  On page 21 of this very thread, message #502, dated 14 Nov 10 :: 03:14, Mel was the one who first said wouldn't it be awesome if Chris guested on House, and Anne said and it would be cool if Amber diagnosed him.

You guys put that out there in the Universe and we got our wish.  :dancing:

Oh my God, really? I didn't even remember I said that! LOL How cool is that? big_smile So, every few years something Chris-related I dream of or say out loud will turn out real at some point. Woohoo. LOL

#566 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 02 Apr 11 :: 13:52

I don't do April fools in general.

In other news, I just noticed I hit the 8,000 posts mark quite a while ago and didn't even know about that until just now.

Marquette can bring the sad puppy eyes when he needs to

Aaawww! :embarrassed:
No need to tell US, though, huh? LOL

#569 Re: Chris On Screen » HOUSE - FALL FROM GRACE » 01 Apr 11 :: 21:29

LOL I can't decide if I find this amusing or shocking.

#570 Re: Chris On Screen » HOUSE - FALL FROM GRACE » 01 Apr 11 :: 17:21

LOL @ your comments, Deb! I love them!

The thing is, though, if I look at the "beardy" screencaps too long I always start thinking "Jesus, he actually LOOKS like Jesus in those, that's so sick!" and then my head is full of the nickname "JesusChris(t)" for the rest of the day. Which is ... NOT ... a good thing, I suppose. LOL

Yeah ... I'm just weird like that. Ignore that. :doh:

But I still enjoy Being Human US. Never watched the UK version, though.

That's cool, Deb! I'm so happy I ordered the DVD. Tell me how you liked it!

Okaaayyy ... I watch True Blood and I really do like it but I can still make a difference between a TV show and the reality.
