Let's look at the scene at the beginning of Friday where DogWalkerGod talks to Joan and Judith just lays down on the grass (perhaps mimicking death), paying no attention to the fact that Joan has wandered off.  Now that's what I call NOT noticing.  And that's what happens most of the time when she leaves to speak to God.  It's like everyone around her just zones out till she's finished.

This seems indeed to be interesting.

I hope so! Please remember your poor friend in Germany who waits for <shhh> copies! wink

Haha, I forgot X files. I used to watch the show a lot, but I stopped watching it after Mulder was gone. Yeah, I hate that overkill, too. It seems like the broadcast stations are copying each other and the more a project gets copied, the worse gets the idea.

Doesn't sound interesting to me. I've seen so much TV shows with supernatural phenomna, like JoA, Medium, Buffy, Angel (and, I admit it: GW) ... I don't think I need a new show. Plus I don't like the Exorcist movies. Never watched them and will never do that.

#7456 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 19 Aug 06 :: 19:48

Cool review. Ooooh, I WANNA watch this movie!!! Or at least the trailer! <sigh>

Did you ever doubt that?

Oh God, that "Define first moment" face is priceless too! (I just watched that clip.) big_smile

#7461 Re: All About Chris » The Brothers Marquette » 19 Aug 06 :: 15:45

Referring to the Sean clips on the website ... I'd love to have a clip of his performance on The Guardian ... I saw it once when the show aired in Germany. But it's not available on the net, that's a great pity.

#7462 Re: All About Chris » The Brothers Marquette » 18 Aug 06 :: 22:46

Yeah, we had this conversation once, too. Oh God, it would be totally cool to run Chris's official site ... but I think I'd die if that ever happens. LOL

Yeah, the HOODIES! How could we forget about the HOODIES!!! yikes
I need to extend my collection, so far I have only a red one ... I am also looking for beanies, LOL I need at least one for the winter, but I'd love to have little assortment. big_smile

You know what? I was surfing to the official Michael Welch site earlier that they and it has this link to a fansite about Michael. So obviously Michael does know about the site and likes it (although the design is a little lame, but I suppose this is because the fan doesn't have that big knowledges of website design), because he has a link at his official website. Wouldn`t that be cool if that happened to us, too?

I am opening a new thread for this movie because I found this little snippet on indiewire.com. Unfortunately Chis is not mentioned, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

"Choose Connor"

This coming of age drama by 20-year-old writer-director Lucas Elliott follows a young boy who becomes the poster child for a Congressman's run for Senate and learns what really goes on behind closed doors in the political world. (Sounds interesting, doesn't it?)

Having always been interested in politics, Elliott penned the script three years ago and says the research he put into the project is what makes it stand out. "I found some incredible stuff and I was like 'wow,' this is what the story needs to be about," referring to the two years he spent doing what he calls "undercover investigative research" in the political arena. But that's the most he'll say. "I shouldn't talk about it or I'll get some people pretty angry."

The film follows 15-year-old Owen (Alex D. Linz) who meets Congressman Lawrence Connor (Steven Weber) at a school event and after dazzling the Congressman with his political knowledge is asked to come aboard his campaign as his youth spokesman. As Owen is put on TV commercials, radio ads and posters, his innocence is tested by the cut-throat political machine he's now a part of.

Elliott admits his age and those of producers Karuna Eberl, Andrew McFarlane and Aaron Himelstein (all in their early 20s), did have drawbacks, but their vision for the film was impressive. There was also another advantage. "When trying to get stuff together a lot of your work is done over the phone and over email so people didn't know how old I was," Elliott says. Along with Linz ("Max Keeble's Big Move") and Weber, they also attached character actors like Diane Delano, Erick Avari and Don McManus.

Shot on Super 16mm by Jim Timperman around Los Angles in June, Elliott is currently editing back home in Boulder, Colorado. The film is produced through Blue Cactus Pictures. Executive Producer is Chris Lux.

And here is what TeeJay posted on the other forum:

Okay, I guess this one deserves its own thread. Thanks for finding it, Anne. Here's the IMDb link you provided:

Choose Connor at IMDb

Also found this:
Feature Film "Choose Connor" is seeking a casting director for background/extras casting. "Choose Connor" is a SAG ultra-low budget feature film set to start principal photography on June 20th.

Meals and Credit provided.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with some ambitious young filmmakers.

You have still forgotten one thing. You are also an Ultimate Dorquette when you go to the H&M store and buy similar pajama pants like the one he wears in Just Friends. I know persons on this board who did it. wink

Oh yes, it is. It's the reason why I became his fan after all. Okay, after I learned that Colin is played by the same guy who played Adam on JoA. LOL But the Judging Amy performance was the first time I saw him on TV and that's the important thing. wink
The quality is awesome. Way better than all those clips I downloaded before. Now I can delete them and download the better version.

I love that performance. I can't watch it without getting a knot in my stomach ... it's just too impressive.
Oh yeah, this should definitely be on his demo reel!

#7473 Re: All About Chris » All you IMDb jerks out there » 17 Aug 06 :: 18:50

Yeah, they were arguing whether she was fat or not because she had to put on some weight to play Joan, because Joan was supposed to be an "average teenager" or something like that. Can't remember right now.
Oh yes, I would trade appearances with her too. She's really pretty.
And Paris Hilton ... Seriously, who is Paris Hilton? What did she do all these past years? Did she do any serious work exept partying and getting drunk? And now she thinks she could be a singer. Great. More trash music for the world. roll

We get noble Marc, protecting his best friend from her abusive lout of a boyfriend; studious Marc trying to graduate high school a year early (he hated school as a kid); kind and responsible Marc coming home from college and stepping up to be a man when he thinks he may have gotten his ex-girlfriend pregnant; and finally we get the fine young man who gives his mother away at her wedding.  I just love this guy!

I remember seeing clips of these scenes from the internet, especially the one with his pregnant girlfriend. I think that was a remarkable performance.

And Chris was brilliant at playing all the many colors and layers they gave him over the 6-year run of the show.  I admire him for always coming back to play Marc whenever they needed him and he was available.  A lot of actors wouldn't do that.

Yeah, this is one thing I like about him too.
