I agree. Good one, Anne. ![]()
I loved Michael Welch in Twilight. I can't imagine anyone else as Mike now. ![]()
Well, to be honest I had little interest in seeing it when I did the first time. I thought it'd be a stupid overrated teen thing but decided to see it anyways because everyone here talked about it so fondly. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up seeing it again after I had read all the books too which was a much better approach.
I saw the movie first, so when I read the book I noticed that the two probably shouldn't be compared. The book is so much better if you compare them but the movie sticks to the majority of the key stuff. The camera angles were awful at some times making me insanely dizzy but overall I thought that it was great in it's own way. I thought it was one of the better book to movie things I've seen although it wasn't exact.
Hopefully you'll get to see it soon to see what you think.
And who asked if I've seen Taylor's new body.. yeah I have and of course my response was:
+ "he's too young, he's too young..." *dramatic acting; what the heck I'll even through my hand on my forhead and pretend to faint* "...be still my heart, one more year and then it's leagal to drool...."
I just saw a video on youtube where he showed off his muscles yesterday, that's why I asked. I'm amazed at his accomplishment even though I'm not personally attracted to him.
Have you seen Taylor's new muscles, Maria?
I ended up reading this one a few days ago. Didn't like it either. ![]()
I saw Twilight on Tuesday night and have already managed to finish the book and New Moon even with a crazy work schedule. So in other words, I joined a new fandom this week. ![]()
Well because of that there are those wonderful Sears card questions (Would you like this on your Sears card today? Do you have a Sears card? Would you like to apply for a Sears card?). I only ask the first one because otherwise I'd go completely crazy and today would have been a complete nightmare. Anyways, I wasn't employed when Sears took over, but I'm sure it wasn't that good of a thing. Some customers have told me that their interest rates on their Sears card skyrocketed during that change but who knows if that's true? Not saying it isn't possible, it's just that sometimes you don't know the whole story.
Sorry to hear about hard times for your friend. That's just awful. ![]()
Since June, so it was my first Black Friday there. It was the normal problems - sales prices not showing up on the registers, customers misreading signs, and all the other slightly annoying things - only at a faster pace and with people who obviously didn't get enough sleep the night before.
I worked a 5:45 AM to 3 PM shift today at Kmart. No fights or deaths to report but people were still rude and we were extremely busy all day. Man am I glad to be home. ![]()
I've always stayed home on Black Friday, but it looks like I may have to work that day this year. Yuck!
I'm a fan of the hair, but that's just me.

also i saw mccain on ellen degeneres show where he tried to explain to her why he oposses gay marriages and he looked pretty bad while doing it.
I saw a clip of McCain on Ellen's show. Who told him that was a good idea? Ellen did a great job of maintaining her cool, though.
Covering the internet gossip about the campaigns wasn't enough?
Guess not.
Oh well. At least the election is over with a, in my opinion, good result.
A whopping total of 349 electoral college votes and win of the popular vote. Yep, I'd call that crushing him.
I expected it to be kind of close. Boy was I wrong!
It's a good day to be an American.
It's going to be fun to see the reaction around my (mostly liberal) university. And finally the robocalls and mail from the RNC and Ohio Republican Party will stop!
And we know who Deb voted for
.
Of course I do. ![]()
I think I should have made that more clear. I hated that he left like that after yelling at Judith, but I get why he couldn't stay. He was probably left with some bad 'ripples' from leaving like that and Joan felt like he abandoned her for awhile, when that wasn't what he meant it as. But she gets it later on, so it was all okay.
Yay! I did. ![]()
I hate all the fighting in the episode and that nothing was learned from it. And if someone told me that Friday Night was inspired by Joss Whedon's writing, I wouldn't be surprised. I do really love Friday Night, except the Adam walking out on Joan when she's with Judith. But for me he redeems himself in the end of the episode. I honestly can't imagine what it would have been like for Adam if he would have been in the room with Joan when Judith died.
I completely agree with you. He went from being so in love with her to cheating on her with someone he barely knew. I hardly think that the logical step.
But there are so many scenes that I love out of that season 2. Some of POV, for example. I love the conversation between Adam and Judith (although, not technically a Joan/Adam moment, but they are talking about her). And who doesn't love the end scene?
Season 2 was a mine field for the Joan/Adam relationship. It seems to be that there are only a few episodes in it where they don't fight or have some kind of problem.
Wow, reading over some of my posts it makes it sound like I hate JoA. Some of the good parts were really good though. Like the end of 'Romancing the Joan' (even though I don't like what it took to get them there).
I don't know why that's supposedly entertaining.
I like happy Adam and Joan, even though they didn't get a lot of airtime in the series. ![]()
