Change is good Anne.  Even if its just a username!

Things are tough right now.  Some nice uplifting quotes or verses you cling too would be nice to read right now!

smile lol.  Good to know samsy. I understand how it feels.  I know it takes place in Rustin, LA. I went to college in shreveport very close.  People are always pestering me to see if it actually exiists!

Well. I've been bouncing back and forth in getting my masters in some sort of education: literacy, christian education, ESL.  I fo und this program.  What do you guys think?  I am fluent in spanish and teach reading at a school that's 98% hispanic to help guide you in your train of thought.

Good for you Anne. I was a history minor and my professors always commented on how important it was to vote since most wars started over that right.

Sorry to hear about relationship issues. I hope that you will find peace soon and that your mom heals.

10 more weeks til summer. I think I can, I think I can... after a 6 day work week & more to come in the future.   Energy is what I'm praying for.

Wow, Chris and Amber had a couple of WONDERFUL scenes.  There's lots of God stuff.  And this one scene has an echo of Deep Black.  So awesome!

Agreed. Love their conversations together.  Seemed to set him up for another episode maybe? What do you think?
I loved this episode to see Amber's face at the end.  Her expression was amazing.  Gave me chills.

Thanks for the info Teejay! It really helped!

#784 Re: Chris On Screen » HOUSE - FALL FROM GRACE » 21 Mar 11 :: 21:54

lol  That does not sound fun Deb.  I kind of wish I was at work.  That's the nice thing about being a teacher, even on your toughest days the days go by super fast because you are too busy to stop and even use the restroom sometimes!

I've been having a House marathon (recorded some old episodes on USA network) to get in the mood for tonight.  It's been a while sense I've watched it.

#785 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 21 Mar 11 :: 21:52

Thanks for the info TeeJay.  Did you find it helpful? What did they do after they found out your results?  Sorry for the questions just want to talk to someone that has done it before I spend all the money and time to do it too.

#786 Re: Chris On Screen » HOUSE - FALL FROM GRACE » 21 Mar 11 :: 18:24

so is this on tonight or next week?

#787 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 21 Mar 11 :: 18:21

Between that, global warming, economy, war in the middle east, there are plenty of things to be concerned about and pray for.  I feel bad one one event happens & then so much is focused on that while all the other issues get pushed back.

Well. I went into to work today and got sent back home sick.  My principal said to go home and heal up since there aren't any breaks and we basically have a saturday school every saturday until TAKS tests, so that's six full days of work, and 12 hour days mind you.  Charter schools are hard to work for.  I went to the doctor and they said i had sinus infection with bronchitis.  Its the second time its happened this school year.  They want to do an allergy test on me.  Has anyone ever done one?

#788 Re: Chris On Screen » HOUSE - FALL FROM GRACE » 18 Mar 11 :: 19:40

I get it. Definately seems plausible and like a House episode for sure.  Interesting ideas...

So Jacksonville is a no go. Still getting over this cold or whatever it is.  Grr. Just don't think it would be good to be in the hill country right now with all the pollen and everything else floating around.  We aren't allowed any personal days for the remainder of the school year so I want to make sure it heals up before the madness starts.

At least Jane Eyre opened today!  So excited! Of course excited for Chris too. I've recorded reruns of house to get me in the mood.:)

being sick is a great way to spend spring break.:( I've had to cancel lots of stuff I had planned.  Hopefully I'll be better by Saturday to take my day trip to Jacksonville, Texas.  At least I've been able to catch up on some shows and watch some Joan of Arcadia.

#791 Re: Chris On Screen » The Double » 16 Mar 11 :: 02:23

Topher Grace made a reference to this movie on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.   He didn't mention Chris, but it was exciting to hear him talking about it!

Very Good! smile Congratulations!

#793 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Book Thread » 15 Mar 11 :: 07:16

So I usually read one hard book, that's more intellectual, on the weekends to stay focused and one easier book to read during the week when i'm too tired to focuse like that.  My hard book right now I'm reading is A.S. Byatt's The Children's book.  It is truly amazing and definately reaching up to my top five favorite books of all times.  Just is a long read and needs lots of to finish those.  They are hillarious, witty, and just a fun read.  They are as good as the movie was.  A little different here and there  (from the movie) but enjoyable too.  I definately want to read more from this genre.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

I tried going to borders to get the stand from their clearance sale. but it wasn't there. I did get the shinning though. I think my family has the rest all in hard back versions too.

#795 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 15 Mar 11 :: 07:08

Cooper just makes me smile. So glad I got it and watched it over the weekend.  I would love to see Chris & Ray Wise do another project together.  They seemed like they had a good time with each other.  I love 'lucy the dog' in a pink bow comments.  Just great!

#796 Re: Chris On Screen » HOUSE - FALL FROM GRACE » 15 Mar 11 :: 06:59

YOu just made my Spring Break Deb! Can't wait to watch it! Already have made a series recording so I won't miss it.

#797 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 13 Mar 11 :: 20:49

I haven't watched my dvd yet. but will soon.  I just was pooped last night and went to bed early yesterday.  exciting saturday evening huh.  Can't wait to watch it.

The preview for the 'Breakout Kings' looked good Teejay.  I didn't make the connection until now.  I'll check it out. Sad to hear its just mediocre.

#798 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 12 Mar 11 :: 23:49

That picture is amazing Deb and definately puts things into perspective.  You are so right. Definately makes my problems seem smaller than what's happening around the world.  Scary stuff indeed.

#799 Re: Square Eyes » Welcome to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel/Etc Appreciation) » 12 Mar 11 :: 23:47

It's a nice thing to marathon during the summer. I just got my buffy dvds in. Can't wait to watch them for my spring break!  I haven't watched Angel in a while.  I think I might wait until summer to do that marathon though.  I've got lots of other tv shows to get caught up on too!

#800 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 12 Mar 11 :: 23:45

I finally ordered this as a gift to myself after a rough month.  Can't wait to watch it tonight and laugh!  There are some great Chris one - liner moments smile
