Today is ANZAC (Australia and New Zealand Army Corp) Day. This day commemorates the failed attack by these soldiers on the shore at Gallipoli during WW1. I think it is just as important as ever if not more important now to remember those days and events. The last WW1 Australian veteran has past years ago, but if we can keep them in our memory maybe we can stop events like that from happening again. I know that this day is specific to my country and NZ but I think the feeling behind it is universal. So again I say, lest we forget

I am still rather boring I'm afraid. Although I do now have 2 jobs both working relief with childcare. Havent actually started working either, but employed now which is always a good thing. But the last few days of my life have been cleaning the house, watching tv and movies....doing nothing is fun, but it wears thin pretty quickly. Although Easter is coming up fast, Anzac Day AND my birthday, so hopefully this week long weekend here in Australia will be more interesting

Thats the problem when they flood the market with a theme...its moved on from "reality tv" to supernatural or even just vampires and werewolves. But I kinda like this market so not too upset. The only issue when they do flood is that so many shows are too similar and only a very few shows if any actually run for any length of time.

Yup, it is because of my last name. My dad has been Warbo ever since he was a little kid and then my older brother was Warbo too when he was younger, but my principal laughed and said that I couldnt have the same name as my brother (he also taught him) and said that Warbee sounded more like the girl version. Haha
Its sad that something ruined your username for you, but I'm glad you have found a new one that you like

I like your new name Anne....when I first saw it I was like WOO someone new to attack hahaha but its all good. I havent even thought about my username. I guess its because its been my nicname for about 20 years so kinda used to it I can still remember the first person to call me Warbee was actually my primary school principal! How funny....but usernames and nicnames can be like that

But I agree, there does seem to be less action going on. Odd timing too because it seems there was more messages on this board when Chris wasnt working or didnt have anything new out that we could talk about. *sigh* ahh well these things cant be helped.
On a side note though I got a job working with Camp Australia doing outside school hours care. So essentially before and after school, the parents that work drop their kids off at school early or pick them up later and yeah I will be there to run activities for them. Seeing as I want to get into studying teaching next year I think its going to look very good on my application Although the hours are awkward, so still going to keep applying and see if I cant get something more suitable. Bah job hunting SUCKS

No no, complain away...if I watch a foreign film its always the WORST voices they use to dub. It also seems SO fake. But then I know people that refuse to watch foreign language film unless it is dubbed. I prefer to read than to listen to the false voice. I watched the "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" the other week with my dad. Swedish with subtitles and it was fantastic!

You call that "far behind"? In Germany the new season just started! THAT is "far behind"! LOL
I guess I can't complain too much. We used to be like a season behind, but then they realised that when they are this far behind with the show people were buying the dvd release of the season and not watching it at all on tv. So a summer of prime time back to back type running of seasons and alot we have caught up with, but yeah still at least an episode or 2 behind usually

Yeah I heard on the radio and saw on the news that serial killer....creepy. On a side note, Australia is so far behind with American produced television that this episode of House is airing next week on Monday 11th. I have already watched the episode online, which is usually the way alot of people I know watch tv now. Anyway just a moment of complaining...

Yeah the disaster in Japan will be in repair for a long time yet. The Australian ecomony has already dropped. We are quite connected to the Asian market. But honestly I think thats the last of the worries for those in Japan. I am happy to report back though that everyone I knew there is fine. Watching all the damage on the tv, especially after the quake in Christchurch it feels like the world is angry or something. Hopefully natural disasters will be held at bay for awhile yet.

OK OK so I remember there is a thread on here somewhere about celebrity look-a-likes but I couldnt find it. This is a photo of Andy Lee....a VERY funny radio announcer in Australia. (Love him and co-star Hamish lots!) Anyway, saw this photo and all I saw was James Franco.
