complete guess from your clues, Shooter(with mark wahlberg)
kelly's heroes is right, some else is going to have to get yours, I have no idea
This could have been a post for me under guilty pleasures
shaun of the dead, love that movie
that's it
soon to be another pointless remake
seven?
Time to try a guess, how about scary movie
Thanks Deb. I watched Graduation after your mention in the other thread. I am a sucker for heist movies, and this was a really fun one. It had all of the right kind of twists, and that wonderful aha moment when you realise how it is going to work out. It also worked really well on the life changing story. It is amazing how life really does change after high school, and it caught that really well. The future for Lowell's character was a little movieish, but the rest really felt right. Basically a cool little movie with a little something to say, what more can you want?
I love the old Jackie Chan movies, they are often not much as stories, but he was simply amazing to watch. He had the same charisma as he has now, but then he could do the most unbelievable stunts.
Deb, that is a perfect choice. I think the most hated movie that I love is Return to Oz. But so few people have seen it that I don't get much flack for that one. How about this, I've watched Caddyshack 2 more than once (in fact I think I have seen it 4 times), so I must like it, and it is definately terrible.
Haven't seen Havana Nights, but I like almost every movie on your list (wan't a big fan of the first Harry Potter, but I liked harry potter 2 and 3 and 4)
And Karate Kid, Jungle Book, and 101 dalmations are classics.
Well, I too have the soundtrack, and I still play it in my car.
I do think guilty pleasures have alot to do with where and when you saw them. I have very fond memories of Rookie of the Year and High School Musical 2 because I watched them with my kids and they enjoyed them so much. But here are a few more:
Brewster's Millions
Streets of Fire (I had a crush on Diane Lane back then)
the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre
A Cinderella Story (no excuses for that one)
Here is a "good" one, I really enjoyed Not Another Teen Movie
I think Breakdown is actually an excellent movie. But I have to agree that 1941 & The Prince and Me are guilty pleasures for me.
It could be fun, if everyone is brave enough to say real ones (no Plan Nine From Outer Space). For example, I really enjoyed The Exorcist 3. Not even sure why I watched it, but it was really creepy and interesting, maybe low expectations figure into these things.
Just put Graduation on the top of my Netflix, it sounds interesting.
Boy do I see alot of bad movies. Your list pretty much agrees with how I felt about all of these releases (I had no interest in almost all of them) yet I have seen 9 of them. 7 were as bad as I expected, Made of Honor was okay and Juno was pretty good. I guess that is the downside of Netflix, it makes it so easy to see videos, that I will try almost anything.
Tough one, but finally
Angela Lansbury was in The Company of Wolves with David Warner
Warner was in Time After Time with Mary Steenburgen who was in JOA with...
Gary Cooper
grodin was in Midnight run with Robert Deniro, Deniro was in Casino with Sharon stone, who was in Alpha Dog with...
Marlon Brando
1 is king kong,
2???
3 man who fell to earth?
Actually I don't think I saw it, Hallow man?
I just saw it for the first time too. (I think we must all be finding it on cable) And I was also surprised how much I liked it. Justin Timberlake has turned out to be an actor, which I must say is almost shocking. When Chris first showed up, I was worried they were going to waste him with a nothing role, but by the end, it turned out that he had the most difficult role, he had to go from comic relief to tragedy, and he really pulled it off. If he hadn't played it just right, it wouldn't have worked. He is the character who really just stumbles into it, everyone else makes decisions which lead to their problems. Chris's character is just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it ruins his life. Not only will he spend time in jail, but he will never get over the horror of that night. He will never be the happy go lucky guy again. And all of that was there on Chris's face. Remarkable.
I think I've seen this, but it isn't clicking, we may need a clue
