Deb, did you know that these were released?
Just pointing it out in case you wanted better editions.
I haven't heard of many of those tv shows, are they on HBO or something?
I'm watching disc 1 of Season 3 of 3rd Rock and Emile was so young. I barely recognized him.
Got another season of 3rd Rock.
Just noticed that Emile Hirsch stars as a punk in an episode.
got these this morning from Walmart for $5 each
This is big news up here. I remember watching him on the news. The local news station people are in shck.
WBBM-Ch. 2 morning news anchor Randy Salerno was killed Thursday night in a snowmobiling accident near Eagle River, Wis., the station said.
Although the Vilas County sheriff's office did not identify Salerno, it reported that a 45-year-old passenger died after a snowmobile's driver lost control and hit several trees. Salerno was 45.
"Alcohol and speed are believed to be a factor in the crash," the department said in a news release.
No charges have been filed.
According to the station's Web site, Salerno was snowmobiling with friends in Mercer, Wis., near Eagle River when his snowmobile broke down.
He was picked up by a childhood friend, Scott Hirschey, and was riding on the back of Hirschey's one-seater snowmobile when it slid off the trail and struck a tree, the station reported. Hirschey was thrown from the snowmobile, while Salerno took the full force of the impact, the station said.
Despite attempts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Hirschey was flown to Marshfield, Wis., where he was in serious but stable condition at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Police said they received a call about the accident shortly after 11:30 p.m.
There have been 10 snowmobiling fatalities--at least eight of which were alcohol-related--since the 2007-08 winter season started, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. In the previous three seasons, there have been an average of 33 snowmobile fatalities each year, more than half of which were alcohol-related.
Salerno, a Chicago-area native, served alongside Roseanne Tellez on Channel 2's morning news from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and the 11 a.m. news, according to the Web site. He began work at the station in September 2004.
"Randy was a talented news anchor and a major reason for our recent morning show success," station President and General Manager Joe Ahern said in a statement. "But it was Randy's sense of humor and quick wit that separated him from the rest. He was a skilled journalist, trusted colleague and dear friend to many in our newsroom--especially to our morning team."
Prior to working at Channel 2, Salerno worked at WGN-Ch. 9 from 1993 to 2004 as anchor of the midday newscast.
On the air Friday, morning, former WGN colleagues recalled Salerno as witty, calm in a crisis and always ready to help a colleague despite the competitiveness of the industry.
"He was so laid back," said news anchor Robin Baumgarten. ". . .He was like, 'dude whatever, it will get done.' " Before anchoring midday at WGN, Salerno was a general assignment reporter and the weekend morning news anchor from 1994 to 1999.
Before working at WGN, he was a reporter and weekend anchor at WNYT-TV in Albany, N.Y. Prior to that, he worked at WMBD-TV and WHOI-TV in Peoria. He began his broadcasting career at WIFR-TV in Rockford as a general assignment reporter.
He won a local Emmy Award for his work on Channel 2's 2004 broadcast of the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon.
Salerno received his bachelor's degree in communications from Illinois State University. He lived in Crystal Lake, where he grew up, with his wife, Irene, and their 3 children.
The crash is under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the sheriff's department, the Vilas County coroner's office and the county district attorney.
Got this one this morning @ BB.
I might go back tomorrow and get more seasons.
The Wiz is being released in a new Special Edition soon.

LOL.
But for this time of year that is warm up here and will feel great compared to this week.
There is the old rule that when Alaska is cold, were warm, when they are warm we get very cold.
Did you hear that Roger Ebert is going in for surgery again?
Gee is it cold here today.
Last nights low was -8 and as of 2:50 it's only 3 above. For some reason Chicago is 10 above.
Weather Channel is still saying it'll get to 9 here, but I highly doubt it.
At least it's going to warm up. Monday's high is forecast to be 42.
CNN just said that pills were found in the room as well. Of course they pointed out that it may not be the cause.
First Brad Renfro @ 25 and now Heath @ 28.
What in the world is going on?

On 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment's release of 'Family Guy: Blue Harvest,' the studio has included some hidden materials as well, for the adventurous to find.
From the Main Menu go to the 'Features' section of the disc and there highlight the menu entry 'Family Guy Promo.' Now press the 'Left' arrow key on your remote control to highlight some bubbles in front of Brian. This will give you access to a teaser for the next Family Guy Star Wars show.
Now go back to the Main Menu and select the 'Options' menu entry. On the following screen highlight the entry 'Resume Episode' and then press the 'Left' arrow key on your remote control to highlight a lightning bolt. Press the 'Enter' key now and you will see a table reading for the next Family Guy Star Wars show.

CHICAGO – HollywoodChicago.com on Tuesday had a trusted source post on our message boards a description of the upcoming teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek".
Following this post, various other movie sites (see a list of independent validations here) have confirmed the accuracy of this information with multiple sources along with a source at Paramount Pictures. Here's our exclusive teaser trailer description. Warning: This is full spoiler information about the teaser trailer.
Here's the "Star Trek" trailer description. Hope you can use it.
Slow Paramount logo.
Bad Robot logo.
Black, suddenly some sparks (very saturated [with] Michael Bay-looking cinematography).
We hear an old NASA radio countdown: "30 seconds and counting."
Close up of a timeless guy with goggles leaning down doing some wielding and sparks flying around.
He lifts his googles. Slightly futuristic head covering. It's not a space suit, by the way.
The dude leans down and wields some more. He's standing on big metal.
"From director J.J. Abrams" (blue font with a nice lens flare).
Some Kennedy speech about space flight: "The eyes of the world now look to space."
People walking around the saucer section. The wielders are everywhere – showing size.
We hear: "The eagle has landed."
Huge overhead shot pans across [and] suddenly [shows] what looks like miles of scaffolding underneath.
Title: "The future begins".
Really impressive shot from … people all over the ship and you can see a huge industrialized city or shipyard in the background. It's being built on Earth [rather than] in space.
Neil Armstrong: "One small step for man…"
Camera slowly cranes up over the whole saucer section.
Then we hear Leonard Nimoy's line: "Space. The final frontier…" and the familiar "Star Trek" theme horns.
The shot continues [and reveals] the writing on the top of the saucer – "U.S.S. Enterprise" – and these huge aircraft-like warp engines in the background. Technically, the first reveal of what we're seeing.
Just the Starfleet log (no title).
Title card: "Under construction".
"Christmas 2008"
Overall, really great teaser (by the definition of the term). Very industrial. I'm most intrigued by the background Earth stuff.
The teaser should be attached to the Abrams-produced "Cloverfield," which opens this Friday.
1:20 p.m. update on Jan. 17, 2008: The first photo of the U.S.S Enterprise from the new "Star Trek" turned up at Moviefone on Thursday. The photo can be seen below and a larger version can be found here. It appears to be taken from the teaser and be the reveal shot we first mentioned above. Here's a link to Paramount's official "Star Trek" Web site.
The first photo of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the new "Star Trek" film.

I use DVD Profiler to keep track of all of them. I have over 2,000 titles in my wish-list. Cost $30, but well worth it.
I keep my dvds in regular bookcases. Right now 2 - 4 shelves bookcases are completely filed. I also have the top shelf of a third bookcase filled and a small bookcase filled and snappers are in one of those small media units.
Got this dvd this morning from Best Buy. Used a $5 RZ certificate, so go it for just under $20.
How many DVDs do I own?
Depends on how you count them.
Actual cases = 820
Now if you don't count the box for box sets of films and then count the movies included the total is 877. TV series I count as just 1 regardless of how many discs are enclosed.
I have yet to actually count how many actual discs themselves I own.
