#18426 Re: Chris On Screen » Kyle Newman's Revenge of the Nerds (Remake) - CANCELED » 11 Oct 06 :: 21:46

I just got back a  little while ago from dropping Teejay off at the airport.  Hopefully, she'll get underway without difficulty and have a smooth flight home, where she will likely sleep some and maybe work on the chapter of our A/J fic, Butterflies that she's in the middle of.  It's gonna be a good one.  And if I may shamelessly plug the fic, go check it out sometime. There's a link here on the site in the Fan Fiction section.  It's Adam and Joan reunited at 22.  It's romatic and fluffy and sexy and agnsty.  All the things we love.

I just finally had a really nice lunch, half of which I saved for dinner.  It was wonderful since I've barely eaten (or slept) the last few days.  We were kind of on a mission and very focused on that.  I had no stomach for food.  Now that we've at least made what we hope might be the first baby steps in accomplishing our goal of getting Chris involved in the site and becoming official someday, I'm feeling kind of giddy and pretty tired.

But I will have an early draft of the interview up sometime today for sure.  Like TeeJay said, I'll post it on the board first.  In two parts, just like we conducted it.  We may polish it up later.  Indoors, Chris talks a lot like Adam.  His voice is just as deep and can get very quiet.  We've already had to listen to bits of it several times.  But rest assured that he was animated and funny and very thoughtful.  If this was video, you guys would just melt.  It was an utter delight talking to him and I hope to get to do it again sometime.

Stay tuned...

We just got back from an amazing day on the set.  We'll have lots to say as soon as we can come down off the cloud we've been on and transcribe it all.  We spent so much time with Chris today, it was just unbelievable.  He's the sweetest guy ever!  Everyone onset was totally gracious and helpful once word got around about who we were and what we were hoping to do.  Shout-out to Becky!  She repeatedly made sure we had a good spot to watch the action from.  Adam F. Goldberg, (the writer) chatted us up about both Fanboys and ROTN.  And Kyle Newman offered us a video interview, shot by his DVD guy, Andrew.  Of course we jumped on that, though we don't know exactly when we'll get a copy of it.  Not only did they give us a lot of their time today, both Chris and Kyle offered to contribute material for the site.  Hopefully, that will happen soon.

(And Sean, Kyle says he doesn't care what pics we use from the Fanboys shoot and he'll be happy to give us some more because "there's no marketing" on the film.  And Both Kyle an Chris remember you and that wild night at Ken's.)

And Kris, we made a special effort to get a shot of Dan for you, although it didn't turn out too well.  We have a couple of other pics of him, but they're a little far away.  Of course we totally know who he is.  He was very nice too, but we only caught him as he was leaving and he seemed very tired.  We wanted to get a shot of him and Chris together but we just couldn't get them in the same place when they both weren't busy.  You're not going to believe Dan's "nerd" look for the film.  It's pretty funny.  In fact, all of the nerds are made up to look pretty goofy, except Chris.  He looks great.  They just had him wear these really cute "smart-guy" glasses and a dorky old, plastic digital watch.

Stay tuned for much, much more...

Deb

PS: A little tease for you, we got him to talk about something that we've all wanted to know for a long time --- what the blazes BH & Co was trying to do with the whole Adam cheating scenario  in "Trial & Error".  I think you guys will love his answer.  We'll be transcribing the interview for the site as soon as we can.

Anne said it great, TeeJay and I agree. It's just something you need to experience for yourself if you love this show. It's great acting on both Amber's and Chris's part. One of the most agonizing performances ever.

Hey Kris,

Thanks for posting that.  We hadn't seen the teaser poster yet.  Very cool.  We were on set today and will be posting pics shortly.  All they did today was build some of the set on the Agnes Scott quad.  But we learned from a very nice police officer that shooting begins tomorrow morning at 7 am.  TeeJay and I will be there, hopefully with more to report tomorrow night.

One big thing we can tell you is that they're calling the college the same thing it was called in the original, Adams College.

Hang in there for more news.

And I love your avatar choice!

So, we're off to see the wizard tomorrow morning.  Hope we can find the crew.  We're getting up way early.  I should be in bed.  Everyone who reads this, please send us a little mojo.  If we can get an interview and maybe snap a couple of pics, you guys will be in for a treat.

It's not that we forgot to mention you.  We were just speaking for ourselves as we sat here answering the post, with TeeJay typing and me dictating. big_smile

Welcome to the boards, glad you found us. If you liked him on Strong Medicine, have you seen him on Joan of Arcadia? If not, go check the video clips section on our website. smile We also have Strong Medicine clips, if you hadn't noticed before. Hope you like the site and everything we have to offer.

The latest is that it MAY be starting on Monday, 10/9 somewhere on the Agnes Scott College and/or Emory University campuses in Decatur, just outside Atlanta.  TeeJay and I are going down there to see what we can see. We'll report whatever happens.  Wish us luck!

#18435 Re: Chris On Screen » Calvin Marshall - CHRIS IS NO LONGER INVOLVED » 06 Oct 06 :: 09:22

Man, I'm pretty disappointed that Calvin isn't even shot yet.  Mainly because due to bad information, we thought is was in the can and so we've been expecting this movie way sooner than we'll see it, by years.

Gary, if you happen by the site again, I'm not speaking ill of you or Broken Sky.  I'm a screenwriter who has yet to get a film off the ground.  I know the process of producing an indie sucks.  I was just really, really looking forward to this movie, as a huge baseball fan and of course as a Dorquette.  My sincere hope is that it gets underway as soon as possible.  If you can share anything with us in terms of plot tidbits, or anything really, we'd so appreciate it.  My big question is can we expect a baseball comedy or a romantic comedy?  Either way, the Dorquettes are down.

Count on us, we'll be there for you.

#18436 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA season two on DVD » 03 Oct 06 :: 21:01

Yes, a table read is literaly what it sounds like.  It's not the first time the actors read the script, but it is the first time they have a go at it together.  It's the first chance for everyone to hear the dialog spoken out loud.  Mostly, there's a lot of giggling, and some adjustments are made to the script if things aren't really working the way they should.  It will be really fun to see this.

We were so happy with the way those caps came out, all we could think was that you were gonna love 'em, Anne.  So glad you did!

#18441 Re: All About Chris » Photoshoots (or the absence of them) » 23 Sep 06 :: 09:40

Yeah, man!  What TeeJay said!  That's why I want a current headshot so badly.  And you know what really bugs?  Almost every film --- certainly every studio film --- has an official still photographer.  Which means that probably for almost every movie Chris has done, photos like the 4000 plus we have from Fanboys exist.  But we'll never get to see more than a handful of them.  Which brings home once more how lucky we were to meet Sean.  Smooches, Sean!

When will you start packing?  Do you make a list of things you need to pack?

God, look at us.  Already drooling from two seconds of good hair and deep, bassy voice.

#18445 Re: Chris On Screen » The Invisible » 23 Sep 06 :: 08:51

Holy wowzers!  Thanks for making caps for us from the two seconds Chris got in the trailer.  To me, it seems like he'll be a big part of the movie before Justin's character dies, but not so much after.  Oh well, I'll take it.  And not a comedic horndog for once, which is all we've had on the big screen so far.  How nice!

#18446 Re: Chris On Screen » Strong Medicine » 23 Sep 06 :: 08:47

If you can do that, it would obviously be awesome!

#18447 Re: Chris On Screen » Strong Medicine » 23 Sep 06 :: 05:34

Hey TeeJay, the ever-elusive GSW is no longer elusive now that I've finally got it on tape.  It's already repeating again on Friday, 9/30.  Too bad we don't have a way for you to digitally record it that night so we could have better quality screen and vid caps.  sad

But I guess we can still watch it on TV so you can see it all clean and crisp and clear.

#18448 Re: Chris On Screen » The Invisible » 23 Sep 06 :: 05:11

The one on My Space is clear enough to get a good look at Chris.  He looks like kinda between James and Linus.  Short hair, but not as skinny as James and not as beefy as Linus.  In other words, he looks pretty damn good, in my opinion.  And we get a release date of 1/26/07.  Yay!

Being a Hollywood Pictures/Spyglass production, we might get to see a big screen trailer on the upcoming movies The Guardian and/or The Prestige.  I plan to see The Prestige in the theatre so I'll let you guys know if The Invisible is trailered on it.  Wow, hey, we finally have an actual official date for something!  Woohoo!

As for the movie itself, I think it looks like a cool, funky little thriller.  I'm excited.

Cool!  Can't wait to get home now.  I have my computer here with me today because we're trying to make it so I can remote in, but I have no way to hook it up to the Internet right now.  :-(

So how's the hair?

#18450 Re: Chris On Screen » Kyle Newman's Revenge of the Nerds (Remake) - CANCELED » 22 Sep 06 :: 21:35

Hold on there, TeeJay, we don't know that some of the other Fanboys aren't also going to be cast.  So far, they've only Chris and the girl, what's her name?  More will follow.  It'll be a fairly large cast.  And any of the other guys would be great in these roles.  If there was gonna be a Booger, Dan folger would be perfect.
