Can't find anything more and the owner of the Anton tumblr where they're posted is Russian, so... I'd say let's just use them. We can take them down later if necessary.
I googled a little when I had a minute, and it looks like the pictures came from a newspaper who reported about the shoot. There was one more pic where Chris hugs Anton, and I've uploaded them to our gallery. The link to the newspaper site is there too.

First behind the scenes stills are surfacing. Anyone have time to invest in looking for where these are from and if there are more? I'm having a really hard time at work right now, one of my friends is in the hospital with a ruptured colon, and I'm flying to the UK for a week on Sunday, so timing really couldn't suck more. I'd be grateful for the help, so that maybe I just need to go and upload them into the gallery rather than go hunting myself.

LOL! That's so awesome! I wish I liked Twitter more. I'm glad you're out there keep an eye on it for us. I would hate to have missed that message.
I use TweetDeck on my phone, where you can easily track hashtags and searches. And I'm tracking one for Chris, of course. So, yes, if I find anything interesting, I'll certainly let everyone know. Took me a long time to get into Twitter, but now I actually see some of the appeal.

Eeeek, they found us!!!

Monty Python fans will get this. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

It's kinda cute, I like it. And I should be able to get a few nice screencaps out of it. 1080p resolution. Nice! Stay tuned.

Thanks, guys!
I have the pilot here to watch, but I haven't had the time to look at it yet. Have heard good things about it.

Thanks! Loving the graphic, Maria. Very awesome indeed! {)

Don't worry, being 30 is awesome. I know from experience.

Anne's is today, for which I prepared this (see below)! (Deb, I think Facebook will tell you when our birthdays are.)

Maria!
Hope you have a good one!

We don't have any IMAX theaters within a radius of maybe 200 miles, so chances are slim I'll ever get to see an IMAX movie. Plus, unless I went to the Netherlands, they would always show the movies dubbed into German. Ugh.
I've had a mouse in a theater once, but I actually didn't mind that much. It was above the screen in the very front, and I figured, hey, as long as it's not in my apartment... A rat is something else altogether, though. Not sure I'd be comfortable watching a movie, knowing there was a rat there. I see them outside all the time, because I live near crop fields, but again--as long as they stay out of our house, I'm okay.

I finally saw The Hobbit in HFR 3D last night, and now I don't ever want to watch a 3D movie again without HFR. The picture was so crisp, and no blurring during fast camera moves. Really great improvement to 3D, though I still think the movie works just fine, if not better, in 2D.
My only problem now is that none of the theaters in the area that do original versions also do HFR. I had to drive all the way to Münster for this. Sometimes it sucks to be living in a country that dubs everything.

Happy Birthday, Deb! I hope you get to do something nice after work (assuming you have to work today). As a special gift, I made you all your favorite Thule caps into a birthday picspam. Hope you like it.

No problem, happy to share!

I have now uploaded four video clips from the movie. They're up on Vimeo, and the password to access them is thule1962:

Interestingly, I also rewatched the first two LOTR movies yesterday, in preparation of seeing The Hobbit again. Having now seen it in both 3D and 2D, I must say I liked the 2D version a lot better. I felt 3D took more away from the story than it added.
After LOTR, people tend to have very high expectations, and I think sometimes they forget The Hobbit is more of a children's book, thus the overall lighter tone of the movie. But I'd have to agree with you that I also liked LOTR better, probably because somehow it felt more grown-up.

Looks like your URLs were missing the leading zero for the image numbers. I have fixed it now:
I almost feel bad admitting it, but some of us have been incredibly lucky to be able to see the film. And what can I say, it's fantastic. They put together a beautiful, captivating and visually stunning piece of art. The cinematography was amazing, and Chris did a wonderful job, portraying the desolation and loneliness of that place out there in the freezing cold of Greenland.
It's rather sad that it's not available to a broader audience, and I really wish there was a way you could all see it. In the meantime, you can find the screencaps in our gallery. And Marvalus, you can now also see what was in that letter.
Let me post a particularly nice screencap for you:

May 2013 be (mostly) amazing!! (If, you know, we survive December 21...)
-TeeJay
Saw it last night, and I thought it was fantastic! Have fun!

His role wasn't anything to get excited about. One brief scene, nothing spectacular. But I found it striking how much he looked like Chris. On a more visual (i.e. shallow) note, I thought he's been known to look better... Didn't pay much attention to the actual show or episode. Something about local politics. Instant turn-off for me.

I have. So, yeah, I know. But truth be told, I don't remember how exactly the book ended... :8 It's been a while that I've read it, I forget these things ridiculously fast.
