No, but if she realizes that she's not the one for him then he's not the one for her either.  So, in the long run, ending it is better for her, too.  Because it forces her to move on.

I haven't seen it yet this season and I can't remember the characters' names, but didn't it turn out that Hannah's kid belonged to Stu Collins.:D

Yeah, I like the tree, too.  Obviously.  That scene was redemptive.  Adam had acted like such an ass throughout much of "Spring Cleaning" and then totally oblivious during the early scene in "Common Thread" that they really needed to show him having some remorse and regard for Joan's feelings.  In the tree we got that, in spades.
