Did you guys realize Sean was in episode 4x04 of NCIS Los Angeles a few weeks back? I don't watch that show, but I'm certainly gonna try to look at that episode some time. It's kinda sad Sean doesn't tweet this stuff anymore either. Being a fan would be so much more fun if these guys knew how to promote themselves. I mean, I even kinda get it. Not sure I'd be doing it if I was an actor, you know?

He's only in the end credits, where they do a nice run-down of all the characters/actors that were in at least one of the movies.

I watched it tonight, and I'm a little 'meh' about it. I don't know, I wasn't enthralled. And the ending was weird. And (not surprisingly) no Michael Welch. hmm

Anyone see Mikey on CSI:NY last Friday? I quite liked it, he played a student who was involved with a drug dealing scandal. And it's always nice to see him on screen. Watching Breaking Dawn 2 on Sunday, so November is Welch Month. smile

The video is actually also on his production site, if you click on the movie poster and then go to the video section. Definitely an interesting glimpse into the visual feel of the movie. Chopra has a Twitter too: https://twitter.com/VVCFilms

Not sure if this was already mentioned in one of the articles Maria found, but apparently shooting has already begun:

Principal photography has begun on BROKEN HORSES, written and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. [...] Reliance Entertainment is financing the independent film, which is shooting on locations in the greater Los Angeles area.

I'm not even sure I've seen Damian Lewis in anything before Homeland. But if I did, doesn't look like he made much of an impression. But he sure did in Homeland!

#209 Re: Square Eyes » The 2012/2013 fall season » 20 Nov 12 :: 09:37

It's really good, and Deb is right, the acting is fantastic. By everyone, but most of all by Damian Lewis. The Emmys were well earned. Strangely enough, I started watching it when it first aired, but for some reason stopped after episode 1x03 or 1x04. Took me almost a year to make a second attempt. But when I did, I got into it quickly, and now I can't wait for Mondays when I can watch the latest episode.

#210 Re: Square Eyes » The Host (Stephanie Meyer's other book+movie) » 19 Nov 12 :: 23:01

I read the book a while ago, and I really had trouble getting into it. But once you're past the first, oh, hundred pages or so, it gets way better. Except for the ending, which I found lacking again a little. I had more fun reading the Twilight books, I must admit, but the movie trailer looks pretty good. Definitely something I'm gonna keep an eye out for next year.

I also have the audio book of The Host, which I bought on a trip to US where it was on sale. Must admit I don't like the reader at all. She had this annoying habit of raising her voice at the end of every sentence. Don't think I wanna listen to it again. Next time I'll know better and listen to a sample first before I buy something.

#211 Re: Square Eyes » The 2012/2013 fall season » 19 Nov 12 :: 22:46

Yeah, I like some of the Nashville songs too. Didn't download anything, but somehow to me it doesn't sound like the corny country music you think of when you hear the term. Or is that just me? I think Hayden Pani-whatever is pretty great too. (Sorry, can't spell her name as far as I can throw it, and I'm too lazy to look it up.)

Full season for Revolution, hm. Well, I suppose it's good for them. To me it still seems like such a cheap rip-off of Falling Skies and FlashForward. I'd much rather see a second season of FF than more of Revolution. Not fair!

I've also grown to become really fond of Homeland. Hope they get a third season. Not too thrilled with the fifth season of Fringe, though. I hear that they wrote season four as if it was their last, and it was quite surprising they even got a fifth season (or half of one, anyway). And somehow it shows, because the fifth just somehow seems like they didn't really think it through and are scrambling for a good story arc to wrap up the mythology. If you ask me, it would probably have been better to just be done with the whole thing after season four.

Oh, and if you have Reelz, I can really recommend for you to look out for reruns of Bomb Girls. Six-episode Canadian show about women building bombs during WWII, which is so far my top pick of new shows of 2012. And not just because Outerbridge is in it. (Actually he plays a bit of a jerk.) Luckily they got a 2nd season too, and twelve episodes at that.

#212 Re: Square Eyes » The 2012/2013 fall season » 19 Nov 12 :: 19:36

Even though it's basically just a pepped up version of Third Watch, I've really fallen in love with Chicago Fire. Interesting characters, story arcs and of course lots of eye candy. I like what they've done there. Strangely enough, I also like Nashville, although I'm not even a fan of country music. I guess good drama works on many levels. And my guilty pleasure has to be the new Beauty and the Beast. I mean, it's cheesey, and it's clearly aimed at a teen audience, but I just love the angsty UST (go figure), and there's plenty eye candy there too. They got picked up for a full season just recently.

Last Resort is gonna be cancelled after 13 eps, I hear. Can't say I'm that bummed. I'm still watching it, but not with a whole lot of fervor. Which counts for Revolution as well. Not sure if they're gonna be picked up, but I'm not gonna be sad if they don't.

My Saturdays before x-mas are pretty much all booked out. Sundays might work except Dec 2 and 9. I'm in the UK from Nov 30 to Dec 9, so that won't work at all.

If we want to watch it together and chat at the same time, it'll have to be a Sat or Sun, evening CET time. If it's a Sunday, it should probably start no later than 9pm CET...

How about this?

January: The Invisible (or maybe Life During Wartime)
February: American Gun
March: The Tic Code
April: The Double (or Remember The Daze)
May: Graduation
June: The Girl Next Door
July: Infestation
August: Race To Witch Mountain
September: The Education of Charlie Banks
October: Fanboys
November: Alpha Dog
December: Just Friends

We should all watch these movies in those months and rehash the best parts!

Here's the goat pic. Who knows if that's even him... Doesn't he have more chest hair than that? Unless you can't see it because the picture is overexposed. But it kinda looks like the person underneath the mask has lighter eyes, possibly even blue.

I made a few hand-porn caps, but I didn't post them in the gallery because I didn't think they were so interesting for the wider public. Not sure I got that shot you were talking about, though. I can post those later (since I'm on the wrong computer right now).

There's a goof in the episode, actually. Seth tells his grandma she's out of heparin, referring to a tablet. Heparin doesn't come in oral formulations. You give it either by IV infusion or subcutaneous injection. I think there's ointments too, but certainly no pills. Someone didn't do their research. *sigh*

#225 Re: Chris On Screen » Hawaii Five-0 - Episode 3x05 » 07 Nov 12 :: 22:21

I've seen it now. Wow, intense episode. And ever so creepy. Awesome performance by Chris, but for reasons you'll understand when you've seen it, it's not gonna become a favorite. As for the show itself, it was okay for one episode, but for my taste it's just too much glossy, stereotypical US cop show. Alex O'Loughlin is nice enough to look at, but the guy with the blond, slicked-back hair? Ew.

Screencaps and vidcap are in the works.
