I started watching 'Melancholia' Elinor wouldn't let me finish it but it's really good so far.I'm looking forward to finishing it tomorrow!
Good to know...
Deb my doctor told me the same thing. I'm trying.... it's hard though when I get up at 5:00. I hit a block right around 6:45 and all I want to do is sleep. If I sleep too early I'll wake up at 9 and then won't go to bed until midnight. So I have a little caffeine boost at 1:00 just to get me through the evening.
I hope this week is a good week, for me and for everyone here! We have ANOTHER saturday school, we just had one last week. I guess they thought since February was a short month they'd just do it back to back. I had a bridal shower to host this saturday so I haven't gotten a lot of r & r & probably won't until the end of March. Its a really heavy season.
yes, and money!
Shots are fine, medicine expensive! Do you use a pet insurance to file claims with? Would it be worth it do you think you'd get any money back? I've been refused claims through offices, not the insurance and that made me upset.
coffee at six sounded like a good idea --- not sleeping...
aww that's awesome Deb! Congratulations! She's a sweetheart! Look how happy she is!
Elinor is doing fine. Full of energy. Took her to the vet for her last puppy vaccination. She weighs 19lbs now and has a little ear infection But they gave me some medicine.
That's great!
I'm ready to move, where should I go???? The Congo maybe???? Teaching English? There is a short term mission to tanzania I'm considering doing with my church this summer mainly to foster and provide assistance to female pastors there. However I'm stepping in there in the mindset that I might want to go abroad long term to teach there... Anyone know of services that send teachers abroad to teach and get paid (that's the tricky part...)???
Wow! what's going on there?
OMG Friday couldn't come sooner!
I think when I was dusting my hard wood floors she was playing and might have sprained something. She's putting her foot down now and has been livelier than yesterday. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow. She seems much better today, more like herself so I think it's going to heal just fine.
Deb - Elinor may have sprained her ankle or hip yesterday, she's been keeping off of it all day. It's definitely not her paw, I've checked it, what do you recommend? She's just started gently putting it down on the ground but she's for sure been keeping off of it all day and pretty inactive according to her usual stuff.
Ugh. Saturday school. Hope to get a lot done & make it worth while.
Weather has been really random. Yesterday it was 78 to day 56. That's the south!
Happy Birthday Teejay! Celebrating for you
I'll check out Pitch Perfect, I've been watching a lot of Torchwood recently and love it. But I loved the British version of Sherlock even more!! I hear they are filming the third season! Definitely check it out!
It's already turned spring, upper 60s and even 70s on thursday! Move to Texas
We have our 'mock interview' tomorrow for our certification process to be an I.B. School. I'm a little nervous about it. Thankfully its just a mock interview. The real deal is in March, of course right before testing time and when I move! Wish us luck! That's the thing about teaching, its very unpredictable even with lesson plans established!
Our attendance of students out with flu is getting high, if it gets too high they might have to shut down and sanitize everything. Help prevent flu with flu shots, cleaning hands, covering mouth when you cough and passing on information to others. 6 have already passed just these few months I believe of the flu in the Dallas area. It's scary.
aww. we had snow the other day it was kind of crazy. Most schools delayed to 10:00 but we were already in session by the time districts were calling in
where is everyone? Awfully quite around here recently...
watched a great little movie from the 80s over the weekend, My Dinner with Andre with Wallace Shawn [the princess Bride] and Andre Gregory. Definitely worth the watch! Interesting conversations happening in the movie that get you thinking. Too bad I was too anxious to really soak it all in, but still enjoyed it nevertheless!
cappu - glad your having fun drawing! good for you!
Mel - hang in there, you'll have freedom soon!
TGIF. First week back has been draining, good but draining. Elinor has been wild with the going back to work schedule and rain.
interesting, powerful, I feel like that could go on any major American city wall..
That's what I've heard - she's done quite well in the crate and its making me sleep better. She doesn't want to go in at first but as soon as she does she's sound asleep.
Teejay - I hear the imax version is really good. My sister said it was like sitting front row at a play seeing the actors on stage. So I might check that out to see the difference!
I tried to see Life of Pi in 3D the other day & went in early due to traffic at the movies recently and there was a rat in the theater! Scared the bajeesus out of me! I told the manager, they gave me free drink & popcorn. I waited for them to clean the theater & check it out but even with people there I just couldn't sit in the theater. Too uncomfortable. I won't be going there for a while!
Elinor is in that tearing up everything phase, before she was just teathing & really couldn't do anything now she is into everything. I've had to put everything on counters out of her reach I started putting her back in her crate at night because she was getting into stuff & waking me up. I hate doing that but I think she actually slept quite while and cozy in her new crate. I did too!
Saw Les Mis and am humming the music in my head. Three more days of break, can't believe how fast it's gone by!
pretty good! Spent it with my parents and our dogs! I've never been a big New Years fan, but I'm glad to have a fresh start!
