Fans will meet Fanboys on Saturday, July 14, when those attending Europe's Star Wars party of a lifetime will be the first to see a rough cut of the full version of the upcoming Weinstein Company's Star Wars-themed comedy.

The one-time-only presentation is scheduled for Saturday afternoon in the Platinum Theater at the ExCeL Center. A special question and answer session with Kyle Newman, director of Fanboys, will follow.

In Fanboys, Newman presents an uproarious comedy that follows a group of young friends on a cross-country quest to break into Skywalker Ranch and see Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace before it is released. It stars Sam Huntington (Superman Returns), Chris Marquette (Joan of Arcadia), Dan Fogler (the upcoming Kung Fu Panda) and Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars).

"Fanboys has truly been a labor of love for everyone involved," says Newman, "so to know that some of the world's biggest Star Wars fans will be among the first to see the rough cut of the movie has us really excited."

Ah, okay. I was just a little confused because I didn't see any text, just the pic and the suffix, and like I said before, I did know that pl is Poland. But I don't speak Polish either, exept that I know that "Kocham cie" means "I love you."

Calling Brenna, our Web Archeologist! Brenna, can you find out who (if any) of the actors was actually at Star Wars Celebration Europe in London? All you ever read about is Kyle Newman, so somehow it sounds like none of the actors were actually there. Geez, I wish I could find a blog of someone who was actually there and took pictures! But what I can tell you is that every comment I've heard from anyone who's seen the full rough cut at CE said they liked it a lot. I even found a German message board where people said that they saw it and loved it.

And they also said what someone posted on IMDb, that Kyle promised this German guy to show the movie to him privately if it didn't come to German theaters.

Relax, Kyle was just kidding. But you'll be sure that we'll contact Kyle through Frosty or Robert if the movie doesn't make it to Germany. Though I'm quite sure that it will.

Hi guys.
I was at Celebration Europe this weekend (met Mark Hamill!!) and was determined to see Fanboys having been impressed by the trailer. It was an extra treat to have Kyle Newman present the movie and a very cool moment when Rick Mcallum walked in for the screening too!!
Anyways, the movie exceeded my expectations. Not only was it pant-wettingly hilarious, it was massively heartfelt too. Its essentially a love-letter to Star Wars and a celebration of what it means to people, but more than that, its a celebration of life.
The standing ovation, which I was proud to be a part of, was well deserved and I'll be paying to see the final version when its released next year. I'll be shocked if any self-respecting Star Wars fan with a sense of humour didn't fall in love with the film- from what I could see at the Celebration Europe screening, everybody dug the film completely and utterly.
Kyle Newman (if you're reading!!), you've made a classic of which you can be very proud and I wish you all the best for the future.

Man, I wanna see it soooo bad when I read all these people getting jazzed about it. <sniff> Well, maybe I'll be in the US in January. Maybe I'll even get to see it on my birthday. Wouldn't that be something? But I guess we'll have to wait and see if the January release date holds and if I can indeed plan another US trip then. Right now that's really pretty much in the air, all of it. But it sure is a nice prospect. Wish we could have a Dorquette meet-up then with everyone for the movie.

But it indeed sounds like only Kyle was there and no one else, crew or actors.

my birthday is dec 28th.. and hten im back to school iw ould def wana do a meet up but i dont hve the money.. maybe after i get done school in feb and am in my field i would, bah i want one now. haha we should do a camping thing!! bonding time<3 ps.. i wana make a fan boys backpack for when i go to school>< hahah.
