Awwww.  That's sweet.  TeeJay knows a site where you can but the comic outright if you want.  Ask her about it.

Wait a minute... Will that be, like, a real DVD? Or is that the bad quality version? I really, really appreciate the offer, but I've already got a bad quality version of it. If this is something that's close to DVD quality, YES, please get me one. If it's some bad quality version filmed-in-movie-theater thing, then I already have something like that. (Shhhh! LOL) I thought the DVD was only coming out in September, so this must some pirated thing, right?

And this is where you can still buy 17 of the Fanboys comic via "Buy Now" option for 5 bucks:

Deb, you won the one for 99c! Congrats! big_smile

Re: The Invisible

Yep!  And before you ask, I'm still up because I've been chatting online with my friend Steph, which is a rare occasion.  We had so much fun.  I even made her drool over Chris.  Will give you a full report tomorrow.  I saved the relevant stuff.

Re: The Invisible

I was hoping I could take a copy home when I was in Atlanta beginning of September. Ah well, guess I'll order it on axelmusic.com when it comes out and get it right around middle of October or so. I've waited this long, what's another, oh, four months? Waiting for movies to come out is one of my mantras, it seems. Nothing with The Invisible ever worked out, so why would the DVD? Disney SUCKS!

Re: The Invisible

10-16, huh? Well, longer yet than we thought. Let's hope I'll have it in my hands by November, then. And I like that cover way better than the movie poster. That was totally lame. I can't find it on amazon.com, though. How much are they saying it will be?

Re: The Invisible

Wow, that cover looks a lot better than the movie poster. I hope they'll bring the DVD to Germany sometime too. Not that I would buy it ... I want the Original. But I would rent it to watch the movie with subtitles. wink

Re: The Invisible

Yeah, that art is a little better, and they're trying to be a little less confusing by saying that Nick & Annie have to solve his murder together.  But it's STILL a lie.  They don't have to solve his murder.  They have to find his body before it's too late.  Tell the truth already.

Any word on special features?

I was just thinking the other day that I'd really like to have a few words with Goyer about how badly he messed this story up.  And why --- if he personally chose Chris to play Pete --- he would then go and gut the character by cutting out most of his storyline.

Re: The Invisible

I found out the special features.

The DVD ($29.99) offers deleted scenes, music videos and two commentaries. The Blu-ray ($34.99) version has those plus a "Movie Showcase" feature.

Re: The Invisible

Deleted scenes.  Halleluja!  But unless the theme of Goyer's commentary is "How I Screwed Up This Movie", I ain't interested.

How true.
But I am happy about the deleted scenes. At least they give us some of them.

Re: The Invisible

Someone on IMDb asked specifically why some people don't like the movie.  So I explained it to her...

Re: The Invisible

I find it difficult to be on there when they argue about Pete's suicide. In the book which it is based on, he dies, the director, I believe, said he died. Chris said he died. Why do they have to argue about it?

I'm not sure how I feel about the cover art. It still seems like him and Annie have a closer relationship than they actually did. The trailer's seemed to make sure that they were involved, then you watch the movie: it was all a sham! The movie was still good. IMO.

I have to make sure to read the book, though. Get the full story.

Re: The Invisible

I didn't like the movie as much as I thought I would. One thing the people on IMDb are right about: The trailer is completely misleading. It wasn't a horrible movie, but I didn't think it was a good movie either. It could have been much more if David Goyer and the editor hadn't mangled it up by making it a PG-13 movie instead of the R-rated one it was supposed to be first.
