Re: Questions For Chris (and Sean)...

Here's a question I've been thinking about...

John Glover, do you know John? The great character actor who plays Lionel Luthor, father of Lex, on Smallville?  He once said that he acts with his hair.  He says things in an irreverent fashion sometimes, but he was totally serious about that.  And I've always been fascinated with the idea.  He does literally create a specific hairstyle for every role.  Of course, Lionel has that great lion's mane and beard to illustrate that he is the King Of The Concrete Jungle and polar opposite of naked, vulnerable Lex.

People have noted the chameleonic nature of your roles and how you look different in each one.  It's true, you do.  And that's partly because of whatever hairstyle you're sporting for a particular character.  All of your fans have their favorites.  So my question is, do you act with your hair, ala Glover?  Can you cite examples of doing that consciously?

I don't know if he would put them o, but I think glasses would be interesting. I just hope that, if he does wear glasses once in a movie, nobody posts on imdb he looks like he's called Rufus or the new Harry Potter or something like that. roll

Re: Questions For Chris (and Sean)...

He would have worn very nerdy glasses as Max in ROTN. (And he looked kinda cute in them, too.) smile So, yes, I'm sure he'd wear glasses. Braces? I don't know. If he thought it would help portray the character in a way he was supposed to be portrayed, I'm sure he would. Balls to the wall, remember?

Braces, I don't know either. I don't know if that would work.

Re: Questions For Chris (and Sean)...

Well, the "nerdy" glasses really weren't all that nerdy.  Certainly not like in the first movie.  No surgical tape on them.  tongue

They just looked like "smart guy" glases to me.  In fact, he was the coolest-looking nerd I've ever seen.

Re: Questions For Chris (and Sean)...

That's a nice one, but I think it should be one we'll e-mail to him. Because you would agree that it'd require some thought, right? I wouldn't expect him to answer a question like that in a verbal interview, off the top of his head. But it's a nice one, I like it.

Re: Questions For Chris (and Sean)...

Would he change anything if he could live his life over again.  Which is a fascinating question.

Once day at work, we answered the questions from Inside The Actor's Studio.  It was very cool.  We really learned things about each other.  Maybe we should try that here sometime.

Re: Questions For Chris (and Sean)...

Guys, I got an idea. Since we were talking about audio books in the Butterflies thread ...do you think we could ask him if he ever would do an audio book? I mean not the audio version of Butterflies of course (lol), I am talking about any book. And since we know that he has a quite a few authors he likes, wouldn't that be an interesting question?

Re: Questions For Chris (and Sean)...

Sweet Jesus, wouldn't you love to be able to listen to Chris's voice--and only Chris's voice--for two or three hours? YES, please!!! We can sure ask him about if he's ever thought about doing that or if he would do it if he was asked.

See? That was my point too! big_smile I would LOVE to be able to do that! So please add the question to the list (YAY! I finally could come up with a question!  :dancing: !) since I don't think I'll be able to ask him that myself in near future.
