Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

Well, I guess Oct 3 is kind of our Chris holiday. It's his birthday and the website anniversary. Plus it's the German national holiday (Day of German Unity), so I never have to work that day. Very neat.

My Chrissue today is that I feel God-awful. I'm getting a cold and I'm tired and achy and sluggish and muddy. And I can't stay home and just rest because both my backups are out of office this week and I'm the one who's supposed to run everything while they are away. Wonderful timing. Who says everything has to adhere to Murphy's Law? sad

Okay that doesn't really have to do anything with Chris, but, well, I just hope he feels better than I do right now. At least he's either on his way home now or there already. Yay!

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

So sadly I own only 4 Chris movies...well owned. Being the nice person I let them borrow the movies (after about an hour of persuasion and me threatening him) anyway he borrowed 3 of which were Just Friends, The Girl Next Door, and Freddy vs. Jason while I was left with Alpha Dog. That was 3 days ago. So I called him up today cause he said he'd bring them back 2 days ago and it never happened anyways I asked him where the movies were and he has no clue. HE LOST THEM!IDk how he did but he managed to
On the plus side my mom walked into my room and saw that I pratically had a Chris shrine. She just looke at me and said "That's bad Paige...is that the sam guy?" It made me kind of happy and I forgot about my DVD'd for 2 seconds...now I am mad again. Im a weird or should I be mad? lol

Anybody who disrespects you enough to lose your property deserves to have his butt kicked around the block a few times.  Especially when it's property that you really treasure and your "friend" knows that.  So what are you gonna do?

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

Anyone who ever loses one of my Chris DVDs will have to endure a really good butt smack and a long and loud lecture on how he better either find them or buy me new ones! big_smile

And the Chris shrine thing is totally normal. Or at least the Dorquette version of normal. I think that I have at least one little Chris picture in every of my rooms except the living room. But the living room hosts my DVDs, including the Chris ones, so I guess that counts too. But I tried to be subtle enough for it not to be in people's faces. And all my close friends know about the website anyway and indulge me. But if Chris EVER came to my apartment (yeah, right!), I would have to leave him standing in front of the door for five minutes while I hectically cleared away all the little memorabilia. LOL

"Who is it?"
"Uh, it's Chris."
OMG!!!! Sh.....
"Uh. Uhm.... uh... Hang on, I'm naked!!"
Chris raises eyebrow
TeeJay frantically runs around, collecting all the little Chris pictures to throw them into a drawer,
runs back to the door, panting,
looks in the mirror, smoothes hair into place,
opens door, puts on innocent smile

"Hey, uh, come in."

lol

Ditto. Oh, that reminds me, my brother still has not found my Elizabethtown DVD. That's not a Chris movie, but it's also a beautiful movie and I want the DVD back.

ROFL
I'll have to take care that that won't happen to me. big_smile

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

Yeah the shrine thing I didnt figure was bad either but my mom doesnt get how great Chris is. As for my friend I called him back and he still hasnt found them. I yelled and probably said a few thing I wouldnt reapeat infront of my mom. I have to go over to his trashed apartment later and look myself. I am happy cant you tell?

Welcome to the club. My mom doesn't get that either. And she keeps saying that he looks like my brother Sebastian in a way, which is SO NOT TRUE!!!

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

My Chrissue is that I am currently watching a holiday reportage about ... Bulgaria! Yeah, there is another one on TV right now. This is kinda funny, because the first one aired when Chris was still there and now I happened to watch that other one.

Do they have no Starbucks there?  He sure didn't waste any time getting his fix once he was home, did he?

I don't know if they have Starbucks in Bulgaria. But didn't we find out that they have McDonalds? So, if there is no Starbucks yet, I bet it'll come soon.

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

Should I ever be able to visit Canada, I am going to try that. LOL
Since I already became addicted to Starbucks coffee although I don't like normal coffee (I hate it!!!), I think there might be a chance. However, it has been a long time now since I was at Starbucks for the last time. But the next store is too far from here and I just don't have enough money to go there more often. I hope that changes after I finished the internship.

I think I've been to Tim Horton's up in either Windsor or Stratford, ON.  Isn't that the place with the great donuts, Dee?

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

According to their website, Starbucks doesn't have any stores in Bulgaria. Would explain why he raided the LA one. LOL I loooooove Starbucks. Thankfully, they're expanding in Germany too now. Globalization. Yay! Java Chip Frappucino! Heavenly!!! :coffee:

Geez, look what you've done. Now I want one. <pouts> The nearest Starbucks is either in Düsseldorf or Cologne, and those are half an hour's drive away. sad

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

The nearest Starbucks here is located somewhere in Stuttgart. They should bring one to Ludwigsburg or Leonberg. Or both. LOL
I usually hate coffee, but I love Starbucks. Not that's a statement. LOL big_smile

Re: Your Chrissues of the Day

I think Tim Horton's is more like a cross between Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks, in a way.  It's not as snobby as Starbuck's.

yikes

Here in Massachusetts, there is a Dunkin Donuts on every street corner. Their iced coffees have crack in them, I'm almost sure of it. When I first got here, I was going once or twice a day. I think that lasted a good month. I'm trying to cut down now.

Starbucks doesn't really survive here.
