You can click them to open in a new window since I think the MB will cut parts off if your screen resolution is too small. Guess this should get a PG-13 rating for foul language.

Totally cool! Only the book's tiny. About postcard size. I was expecting something about the size of a real comic book. Not that I don't like this. Can't you ask Joe to print them?

Wow, looks like Fanboys isn't the only movie that's "not quite ready"...
Fox Yanks Films from Comic-Con
Twentieth Century Fox on Wednesday suddenly pulled several highly touted films from next week's Comic-Con in San Diego, saying that "the material wasn't ready." The films included director Doug Liman's Jumper, starring Hayden Christensen; the sequel Aliens vs. Predator, directed by Colin and Greg Strause; Babylon A.D., starring Vin Diesel; and Hitman, starring Timothy Olyphant. The studio's action miffed organizers of the high-profile convention. David Glanzer, a spokesman for Comic-Con, told the Los Angeles Times: "Every major studio usually has a presence at Comic-Con so for Fox to pull out a week before is very unusual." One blogger observed on the Times' website: "Something smells a little fishy. I could see one film not being ready, but all?"

Sooo ... it's good to see that that happens to other movies too, but so many movies "not ready"? Sounds indeed fishy.

Back on topic, I got my comic on Thursday. It is tiny, but it's pretty funny --- in a vulgar, highly demented way. LOL! Who woulda thunk they'd do a comic about Hutch's unfortunate tangle with the lightsaber? I really thought that line in the movie was just a joke.

Yeah, there's some really blunt language in the comic. I thought the thing about the "lightsaber battle gone wrong" thing was pretty funny.

Search is On for Ultimate Star Wars Fanboy (or Girl!)
Source: Dailymotion
July 25, 2007Dailymotion and The Weinstein Company today announced "The Ultimate Star Wars Fanboy (or Girl!)" contest. The competition, which runs from July 25, 2007 to August 31, 2007, coincides with a special sneak preview of select scenes of the film Fanboys followed by a filmmaker Q&A session at Comic-Con International in San Diego on July 26, 2007.
To enter, contestants (US residents only) can register and upload an original video showing why they are the ultimate Star Wars fan at FanboyContest.com or Dailymotion.com. Dailymotion users will be voting for their favorites throughout the competition. The producers will choose the winner from the 10 finalists that received the most votes by the users. This lucky winner will receive a walk-on role in a new scene in the actual movie, plus the original entry will be promoted on the Fanboys official website and included as a special feature in the DVD release.
The competition is being run by The Weinstein Company with support from online agency Mammoth Advertising in anticipation of the theatrical release of Fanboys. In Fanboys, director Kyle Newman has fashioned an uproarious comedy that follows a group of young friends on a cross-country quest to break into Skywalker Ranch and see Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace before it is released. The film stars Sam Huntington (Superman Returns), Chris Marquette ("Joan of Arcadia"), Dan Fogler (the upcoming Kung Fu Panda) , Kristen Bell ("Veronica Mars") and Seth Rogen (Knocked Up).
"Searching for 'The Ultimate Star Wars Fanboy (or Girl!)' is an absolutely perfect way to celebrate not just its release, but also the entire world of fan-culture," stated Ethan Noble, Marketing Director at The Weinstein Company. "We're extremely excited about this contest and we're looking forward to reviewing all of the ambitious and creative videos we're sure to receive."
"At Dailymotion, we're constantly looking for innovative ways to connect with our creative user base, nurture their talents, and help them garner the recognition they deserve," added US Managing Director Joy Marcus. "We're elated to be working with The Weinstein Company, a company that shares our ideals about celebrating and empowering the fans."
Fanboys is an MGM release of a Weinstein Company presentation and will open January 18, 2008. A short clip about the contest can be viewed here.

That sounds great. OK, so Kyle's definitely gonna be at SDCC and people will get to see at least SOME of the movie there. Cool. Now, if we can just find out about the rest of the panel...
