Oh, I thought it had been clear that Kyle would be there. The official SDCC website said there would be a Q&A with him after the showing of the movie. Or was that never posted here? I find it weird that we have heard nothing about any of the actors possibly showing up. It almost sounds as if they never actually planned to have the actors there, although we know for a fact that Chris was asked to appear (we just don't know if he will). And wouldn't it be slightly weird if it was just Kyle and Chris? But, hey, doesn't mean none of the actors will be there. I hope they turn up!
Cool about the contest. So, who of you US guys is gonna enter?

I think Sean should enter.

I can't enter. I'm not a SW fan. And I have no way to make a video that would lie and say that I am. But Sean definitely should!

Sean, if you're going to enter the contest, Tina will go to prom with you, okay?

Lol. That contest is right down my alley, but since I'm already in the movie as 2 different characters, I would love to see another fellow fan make it that didn't have the opportunity that us Albuquerque fans had. We totally lucked out because we just happened to be in the right place at the right time. :dancing:
Can I still take Tina to prom?
Offline
Ah, okay. That's kinda understandable.
Can you still take her to prom, I don't know ... I'll think of another assignment, okay?

Hmmmmmm...
Sean, you'd maybe wanna take me out to a place where there's gonna be more than two things on the menu I'd actually love to eat.

Check it out y'all:
That's cool. Yep, I am a fanboy. Well, fangirl, even if the specs don't match up completely.
Studios are hiring marketers just to monitor movie fan sites. If a screenplay is leaked onto the Internet — once an offense that could land the culprit in jail — studios now find themselves asking fans what they think of the stolen goods. And if fanboys still don't like the script, it gets reworked.
Okay, so when will we be approached? LOL
And now we have another picture we can put in our gallery:
I posted a blurb about the contest on the front page too. Maybe we'll get a few Chris fans to enter.
And, man, I can't believe Sam Huntington doesn't have any fansites out there! What's wrong with people?? Some dedicated fan should build him one. He's cute, he's handsome, he's smart, he's funny. He was in Superman Returns, which was a big hit and got his name out there. He must have plenty of fans.

Cool article.
I think we can safely say now that the arms with the light saber and that logo are going to be the official poster. Ahem.
Oh well, they didn't really make this movie for Dorquettes, did they? They made it for fanboys. They probably dig that key art in a way we never will.

Let's hope at least the Infestation poster will feature Chris. I'm still waiting for a movie poster with him on it that looks nice that I'd wanna replace the Sirius Black poster in my bathroom with. Man, why didn't they do anything with the Abbey Road promo pics??? I thought those were great.

If it does, it'll probably be in silhoutte or something, like the teaser poster.

True. Unless they want to keep what the bugs look like a secret. They should just do a poster with Chris all coccooned except for his face. And he could have a weird scared look.

Does anyone else think the guy in the middle looks like Booger from Revenge Of The Nerds?

The guy in the middle is Hutch, aka Dan Fogler. I don't know if he looks like Booger because I haven't seen the movie. There was a time though when I was hoping to be able to see a remake ...

Maybe it was for the better. You know ho people are about remade movies. Especially one like ROTN.
We know how The Invisible was taken in.

Yeah, and you should have seen the people going crazy on the IMDb message board when there still was one for ROTN. Every second thread was about how the movie shouldn't be remade. Deb and I tried to run our own little "just wait and see before you judge" campaign there, but to no avail. We were accused of so many things. Some people really became mean and personal. I think one post's subject line actually was addressed to us specifically and said: "Chris Marquette won't sleep with you". It was nasty. I'm glad that board is gone!

Yeah, that one was directed at me, the Chris is not gonna sleep with you one. Which I thought was absolutely hilarious. Um, duh. I'm old and fat, he's young and beautiful. Like I ever had such a delusion.

Yeah, and of course our ultimate goal when we went to the set of ROTN was to sleep with Chris. Nothing else would do for us, you know? We went home really disappointed that it didn't happen.
What also pissed me off on that board was that not only half of the posts were about how the movie was gonna suck because it was a remake, the other half of the posts were from Agnes-Scott-College students, saying how much they hated that the movie was filming on campus because their every day routine was interrupted. If I had been a student there, I would have skipped class to watch what they were doing.
So here's to message boards where people are friendly and rather say positive things than bash things they don't know anything about. <raises glass>
