Re: The Invisible

Mutant, no need to bother with the book.  It is COMPLETELY different from the movie.  The characters all have different names and it focuses on the cops instead of the kids.  Most people who've tried to read it gave up and said it was awful.  It's not the book I wish they'd stuck to.  It's Mick Davis's original screenplay (he wrote both the Swedish film and the American adaptation).  But no, Goyer has to bring in his best friend's wife --- a TV writer with no feature film experience --- to re-write it.  Why?!?

Re: The Invisible

My friend has seen both version of the movie, and he said the Swedish version is better. Well, I don't doubt that after what we heard from Chris (I still haven't seen it, sorry big_smile Just can't watch this crappy small version ...), so I told him that I'll watch it just to see Chris's parts.

I guess it's there in parts. Grudge 2 used to be there like that.

Re: The Invisible

They must've taken it down, but check this out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmd03-kpaFE

It's a failed TV show called I-MAN (Invisible Man).  And looky who's in it... Mr. Michael Welch.  Also that guy who played the creepy molesting father in the Strong Medicine ep where Marc thought he got his girlfriend pregnant.

Re: The Invisible

Gosh, Michael looks young there! LOL Funny.
Yeah, they take it down when they discover that someone posted a whole movie or a whole episode. But I "happened" to see The Grudge 2 there. Thank God. It wasn't really worth the money for renting the DVD. But Amber was cool of course.

Re: The Invisible

I watched The Chumscrubber on there. I think it's still up. Justin Chatwin is in it. And Lou Taylor Pucci.

Anyone who liked Ghost World would probably like it.

Re: The Invisible

It was OK.  Chatwin's hair was the funniest thing in the movie!  I love Jamie Bell.  I'll watch just about anything he's in.  That's why I gave it a chance.  Not my favorite movie ever, but it had some nutty moments that I quite liked.

Re: The Invisible

Notice Jamie Bell could put on a better accent than Ralph Fiennes?
It's a fun movie, with some cons. I didn't think Camilla Belle's acting was good, and like I said, Fiennes accent kept coming and going. But I like it. I think it's kinda quirky.

Re: The Invisible

Weird movie. Worth seeing at least once. I'm trying to look for it to buy besides bookstores. They have it priced for 30 dollars! I'll wait to see if The Vintage has it. It'll probably be 15 dollars there, or less.

Any way to save a penny..:)

Re: The Invisible

Yeah. I thought I posted about it before. They have all the latest US DVDs, but the great thing is that they ship from Europe, so you don't have to pay any customs fees (as opposed to when you order from the US).

Re: The Invisible

Yeah, I noticed that. And they also accept paypal, so I won't need a credit card if I ever will order from there.

Re: The Invisible

The strange thing is that when I bought the DVD, I could only choose to pay by credit card. They didn't offer me the PayPal option. But that's okay, since I do have a credit card and it's not the first time I've ordered there.

Re: The Invisible

I'll decide whether to buy it or not if and when we learn exactly which deleted scenes are on there.
