Me neither! My computer at work doesn't have sound, so I'll have to wait until tonight to check that out.

Re: Fanboys

Almost forgot to tell you this:  Joe called me from a movie theatre last night to tell me that during the Coca-Cola pre-show trivia onscreen, there was a little blurb that said, "Chris Marquette (The Girl Next Door) will play Linus in Fanboys from The Weinstein Company."  He said he thought that would make me smile.  Sweet boy, huh?

I just got back from Superbad (amazing!) and there was no sign of a Fanboys trailer sad Really pissed me off...

Re: Fanboys

I think I'll go see it tomorrow. I missed the early show today and the next time is 7:10 and my mom doesn't want me driving to another town at night, and a Friday to add, so I'll probably just go tomorrow.
I did want to see Death At A Funeral today, but the theater over there didn't have it. Only one theater in the whole state of Oklahoma is showing that movie, and it's in the city about an hour and a half away. So, I'm upset about that.

But can't wait for Superbad, it sounds hilarious. I'll come back to theis thread after I watch it.

Re: Fanboys

It's a bummer but Shari just reminded me that there's no guarantee that the Fanboys trailer will run in front of Superbad in every theatre.  So don't just go for that.  I'm still going, of course.  Gotta see that movie!

Re: Fanboys

Well, I was able to drive over to the 7:15 show, so I left at 6:30, got there at 7:05, lines were crazy outside. Waited in line for about 5 minutes to get a ticket and go in, asked for Superbad. After all that, "Sorry. That's sold out."
For that theater, they usually have 1-2 screens of a movie. They asked if I would like to buy a ticket to something else, but I drove over there for Superbad. So, I left.
Looks like I'll catch the matinee tomorrow afterall.

Re: Fanboys

Sucks that you couldn't get in Mutant.

But sold out is awesome!  Let's hope it's like that all over, but WE all still get in.   big_smile

Re: Fanboys

Yeah, fine. Go ahead and gloat! lol

But yeah, it is a good thing. I'm positive it will be number 1 this Sunday.

And I am a little glad that I'll just go to the matinee tomo- well, today now. The drive home down empty roads won't be dark. And maybe it won't be so crowded.
Wow. I'm actually being positive.. sorry, it's a new experience for me.:)

Re: Fanboys

big_smile Platinum moment.

I got up today at 12:20, got ready in ten minutes and was out the door driving to see the movie. I got the 1:30 showing, the first one of the day, and got their about 1:05 and the 7 and 10 showings were already sold. People already had bought tickets for later screenings. Apparently the movie is doing pretty well. No Fanboys trailer. But the movie was great. Loved the cops in their. And Michael Cera. He was great. Had alot of that Arrested Development delivery.
So glad I got to see it.

Bad note, when I was driving home, about halfway there i got pulled over for speeding. I was going 60 in a 55 mph zone. I was just trying to pass somebody on those lanes that curve in. I was driving my mom's car and couldn't find her insurance, so I got a citation for that. All we have to do is go back to to their courthouse and show proof of insurance and I'm cleared. Wasn't to bad, Cop was nice. Just no insurance, but he let me go. My parents aren't mad or anything, so it's all cool. A little bit nerve-wracking, but.

Re: Fanboys

Glad you got to see it! Isn't Michael Cera awesome? I'm totally in love with him these days, lol.

Sorry to hear about your driving incident. I'm so afraid to be pulled over, eek. I would have flipped out. Glad it's no big deal though. Sounds like an easy fix. smile

Re: Fanboys

We saw the 5:30 show.  It was so much fun.  Also no Fanboys trailer.  Shari said Dan's William Morris agent is the one who told her the trailer was there.  Weird that it didn't happen somehow.  Good thing the movie's so great that none of us are all that disappointed.

Brenna, did you catch Martin Starr?  I wish there'd been more of him in there.  Seth Rogen was hilarious!  And that is a really tight, really funny script he co-wrote.  I'm so proud of him!

Re: Fanboys

I know what you mean, herromance. Like, I had to go to the next town. Where i live, we only have one theater that plays one movie. We're just now getting Harry potter. And I also don't think they'll show Superbad. They don't really seem to do 'R' rated movies.
But if it's something like Underdog, they'll keep that playing for 3 weeks.

Re: Fanboys

Yeah our towns seem to be two of the same. That is exactly how it is here. See they make me work like everday 5-10 and the movies play right in that time period so IDK if it will happen. I might just have to wait for the dvd

Glad you liked it! I can't wait to see it again. I definitely saw Martin, that was one of my favorite scenes. Hilarious.
